Cayan Air Purifier

Thank you for purchasing this Cayan Air Purifier from DMD Collective. This air purifier
helps to improve air quality while removing dust, hair, pollen, air borne bacteria and
odours.
It is suitable for use anywhere around the home, including the bedroom, office, living
room, dining room, and more.
What’s more, this air purifier comes supplied with a 3-in-1 filter. The first filter, the pre
filter, removes all the large dust particles and hair from the air. The second filter, the
HEPA 13 filter, removes pollen, air borne bacteria and pollutants. The third filter, the
carbon filter, removes aromatic compounds that produce unwanted odours.
This filter lasts up to 2200 hours, which equates to 3 months of continuous use.
Replacement filters are available.
Before you use this product, please read through all the information in this document
and please keep it for future reference.

Health & Safety Guidelines
Danger Warnings
1. To avoid electric shock and fire, do not allow water, liquid or any flammable
detergent to get into the product.
2. Do not spray insecticide, perfume or other flammable spray around the products.
Safety Warnings
1. Before connecting the power supply, please check whether the voltage of the
product is the same as the local power supply voltage.
2. When the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrician to
avoid any potential harm.
3. Do not use the air purifier if the plug, power cable or the product is damaged.
4. Do not block the air inlet and air outlet. Never place objects on or in front of either
air outlets.
5. Do not insert any kind of object through either the air inlet or air outlet.
6. This product should not be used by persons (including children) with physical
disabilities, mental disabilities or lack of relevant experience and skills, unless they
are given instructions by the person responsible for their safety.
7. Do not allow children to play with the product or to clean and maintain the product
unsupervised.
General Health & Safety Guidelines
1. This product can not replace normal ventilation, daily dust collection or oil pumping
when cooking.
2. Make sure the connected power socket is in good contact, or the plug may become
very hot.
3. Do not place any items on top of the air purifier.
4. Ensure the product is stood upright when in use. It should never be used when the
purifier is laid on its side.
5. Leave at least 30cm of space on the back and sides of the product, and at least
50cm of space above the product when using.
6. Do not put the product directly under the air conditioner to prevent condensation
from dripping into the product.
7. Ensure both the filter and its cover are properly installed before using.
8. Do not use any filter other than the filters designed for the product for this air
purifier.
9. Do not use the filter for fuel or similar purposes, as burning the filter may cause
irreversible harm to human health or endanger lives.

10. Do not accidentally damage the product with hard objects (especially air outlet, air
inlet).
11. Do not insert any object, including fingers, into the air outlet/inlet to prevent
physical damage or trouble.
12. Do not use this product when using indoor spray-on insect repellent or in areas
filled with oil, flammable gases or chemical fumes.
13. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged before cleaning, maintaining and
replacing the filter.
14. Please unplug the product before moving it. Do not move the product by pulling the
power cable

Filter Installation/Replacement
1. To install the supplied 3-in-1 filter, please follow the instructions below:
2. Remove the filter’s packaging, and dispose of the packaging material in the correct
manner, in line with local government regulations.
3. Invert the air purifier unit so that the base is facing upwards.
4. Unscrew the cap located on the base of the unit, moving the direction of the cap to
“OPEN”.
5. Insert the filter into the unit. If you’re replacing the filter, simply remove the old
filter and place the new filter.
6. Screw the cap on, ensuring the direction of the cap is marked towards “CLOSE”.

Operating Instructions
Before turning on the unit, make sure the unit is connected to a mains power socket.

Air Quality Sensor
This air purifier comes with an infrared sensor that assesses the air quality and displays
coloured back light to indicate the air quality which is detailed in the table below:
Power Button
Press the power button to turn on or off the device. When turned on, it will operate in
low fan speed mode by default and it will show the corresponding coloured light to show
the air quality (see Table 1).
IMPORTANT: If the air purifier is turned off without unplugging the power plug and is
started again, it will work in the state before the shutdown by default.
Wind Speed Button
When the unit is turned on, press the wind speed button to switch the wind speed
mode between Low-High-Auto.
Light Button
During use, press the light button to adjust the light between Standard-Soft-Off.
Timer & WIFI Compound Button
1. When in use, press the button to set the timer between 4h-8h-Cancel.
2. During use, hold down the button to open and reset the WIFI configuration.

Using the Smartphone App (Optional)
1. To set up the app, make sure your mobile is connected to your local wifi network and
ensure your device’s Bluetooth has been turned on.
2. Then, download the “Smart Life” APP, which is available on iOS and Android. You
can either use the QR code below or “smart life” in the APP store or Google Play to
install the APP.
3. Once the app is installed, open the app APP and use your phone number or e-mail to
register your “Smart Life” account, then register a new account or login. To register a
new account, please follow the instructions on the app. On first use, the app will ask
for permission to access your device’s Bluetooth, location and mobile data. Please
allow permission for all.
4. Then, you will be taken to the screen where you add your air purifier to the app. To
connect the air purifier to the WiFi, press and hold Timer & WiFi Compound Button
until the WiFi indicator will start flashing.
5. NOTE: Please ensure your Wifi is connected via a 2.4GHz network.
6. The app will automatically search for the device and the air purifier will appear on the
top. From here, select add and then enter your WiFi’s password to confirm the set up.

When to Replace Filter
As mentioned, the supplied filters last up to 2200 hours (3 months continuous usage).
The unit will illuminate/flash a red LED light to signify that the filter will need replacing.
On the Smart Life App, you will see a notification.

Maintanence
Clean
1. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged.
2. Take out the filter and clean the dust on the outer surface of the filter.
Use a soft cloth to clean away any dust or debris from the surface of the machine and air
inlet/outlet.
Store
1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power supply, arrange and bundle the power
cable.
2. Take out the filter and clean the dust from the outer surface of the filter.
3. Clean the air inlet/outlet, wipe the body with a neutral detergent and a soft cloth.
4. Place a dust cover/bag and place it in a well-ventilated place not exposed to direct
sunlight.
5. If you do not use it for a long time, please turn on the machine for a few minutes
from time to time to ensure a good performance.

Troubleshooting Fault Codes
Technical Support
If you require any technical support for your product within the warranty

Issue Potential Solution
Not working. • Check if the unit is plugged in.
• Check if there is a power outage.
• Check/replace the filter.
Poor performance. • Check/replace the filter
• Check the air outlet or air inlet for obstruction
Significant noise. • Check the air outlet
• Check to see to see if the machine is tilted
Unusual smell. • On first use, the unit will give off a plastic smell. This will
fade away over time.
• The machine will emit an unusual smell if the filter is
dusty, so in this situation, please clean or replace the
filter.
• If a burning smell emits from the unit, please unplug
from the power socket and get in contact with a qualified
professional.
Filter replaced, but still
showing RED light.
Please press the power button for 7s to reset the machine.
