1.B CHECKING TECHNICAL DATA
Check the data on the rating plate.
The rating plate lists all important technical data.
Defective electrical appliances that have been used in the household
should be disposed of according to EU directives. This product should
not be disposed of with normal household waste but should be col-
lected separately.
More information on local waste collection points can be found at your home-
town council.
Voltage V/Hz The listed voltage must match the existing house voltage.
W This is the power consumption of the device.
IP X Protection code, the pump may be used permanently under-
water
CE The sign indicates that the product complies with European
legislation.

1.E APPLICATION
This product is only suitable in freshwater with a water temperature of +4°C to
+35°C, in ponds and water features. Not suitable for sea (salt) water and/or liq-
uids to which the product is not resistant (e.g. chemical liquids).
The UV-C lamp generates ultraviolet radiation, which destroys micro-organisms,
such as floating algae. Only organisms carried along with the water by the device
are destroyed.
Useful bacteria adhere to many places in the pond on plants, stones, wall, etc.
and are not carried into the unit with the water.
A UV-C device is used in combination with a pond filter to filter the destroyed
algae from the water.
After approx. 8,000 operating hours, the lamp no longer generates UV-C radiation
and should be replaced. ( see maintenance chapter).

2. SAFETY
Caution! Operation of this device is only permitted if the exist-
ing electrical installation complies with legal standards.
The appliance should only be connected to an installation with a residual current
device (30mA) and a socket with protective earth.
The socket should be placed in a moisture-free place, at least 2 metres from the
water’s edge. Protect the device from direct sunlight and rain.
The appliance must not be submerged in water, avoid flooding.
The UV-C (and pump) must not be in operation when persons are in the water or
working on the equipment. Specific electrical regulations apply for application in
swimming ponds.
The device is equipped with a UV-C lamp. UV-C radiation is
harmful to eyes and skin. Avoid direct contact with the lamp. It
should only be in use when the lamp is inserted in the housing.
If in doubt, consult a competent installer.
People who cannot follow these instructions must not use the device!
This device is not intended for use by persons and children with physical, senso-
ry or mental impairment, or lack of experience and/or knowledge.
Unless they are accompanied by a person responsible for their safety, or by be-
ing instructed how to use the device.
Care must be taken to ensure that children cannot play with the device.
Any work on the unit and/or pond or other system, with which the UV-C unit is
connected, should first be carried out by removing the mains plug from the sock-
et and any other devices that are connected.
Keep the plug free of moisture. To prevent water from running
through the cord to the plug, form a loop.
Before commissioning, the device should be examined for possi-
ble damage.

If the power cord, ballast, UV-C lamp or housing is damaged, it should no longer
be used.
2.A PREPARING THE UV-C DEVICE FOR POND USE
• Mount the unit on a solid surface in a well-ventilated area.
• Attach the largest size hose to the supplied hose couplings, this reduces the
capacity less. Saw off the reducer couplings to the size of hose used.
• Connect the UV-C device to a pond filter to filter the destroyed algae from
the water.
• The UV-C unit should only be switched on after it is
completely filled with water and sufficient water flows
through the unit. The lamp is in operation when the
viewing window lights up blue.
• The maximum pressure should not exceed 1 Bar (10
m) when the pump is operating.
3. MAINTENANCE
Observe safety regulations!
The UV-C device is low-maintenance, but not maintenance-free.
To extend the service life and ensure trouble-free operation, we recommend reg-
ular cleaning. With few actions, any person can perform all maintenance work
without any problems.
Pond water flows past the quartz glass in the housing, causing (scale) deposits
on the glass after some time. UV-C light will therefore not reach the flowing wa-
ter as well, reducing its effect. Clean the quartz glass periodically.

3.A DISMANTLING THE UV-C DEVICE - REPLACING THE UV-C
LAMP - CLEANING
A. Open the head in the direction indicated.
B. Remove the head together with the UV-C lamp from the housing.
C. Remove the UV-C lamp from the holder and replace as needed.
D. Open up the 4 screws.
E. Remove the bracket from the housing.
F. Carefully remove the holder with quarter glass tube from the housing.
G. Remove dirt and limescale with a soft cloth and natural vinegar.
Avoid direct contact with the lamp: hold UV-C lamp with a cloth.
4. WINTER PREPARATIONS
1. With approaching, persistent frost, take the appliance out of operation.
2. Clean the set thoroughly, as described in section 3.
3. Check that the power cord is not damaged.
4. Store the appliance in a frost-free place.

7. WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The device is covered by a 36-month warranty, which commences at the time of
purchase. The date on the purchase invoice is the effective date. Keep the invoice,
you will need it if you want to claim warranty.
7.A WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY INCLUDE
We grant a warranty on material and/or construction faults, the device or parts
thereof will be repaired or replaced free of charge within the warranty period.
UV-C lamp and quartz glass count as natural wear or breakage and are not in-
cluded in the warranty terms.
During a warranty assessment, we check whether your product has been prop-
erly maintained. If there is poor maintenance, scale build-up, damage caused by
improper use, damage to the power cable, we have the right to exclude warranty

claims. In that case, a cost proposal will follow to repair or replace the pump.
Any changes to the device, such as shortening the power cable or cutting the
plug, will void the warranty claim.
Consequential damage caused by failure or misuse is beyond BluGarda’s liability.

Aan de slag!
Controleer het UV-c apparaat, de stroomkabel en de stekker op mogelijke bes-
chadigingen, mocht dat het geval zijn, neem het apparaat dan niet in gebruik.

1.B TECHNISCHE GEGEVENS CONTROLEREN
Controleer de gegevens op het typeplaatje.
Het typeplaatje vermeldt alle belangrijke technische gegevens.
Defecte elektrische apparaten die in het huishouden zijn gebruikt, di-
enen volgens EU-richtlijnen verwijderd te worden. Dit product mag
niet met het normale huisvuil worden afgevoerd, maar dient apart te
worden verzameld.
Spanning V/Hz De vermelde spanning moet overeenkomen met de aan-
wezige huisspanning.
W Dit is het stroomverbruik van het apparaat.
IP X Protectiecode, de pomp mag permanent onderwater geb-
ruikt worden
CE Het teken geeft aan dat het product in overeenstemming is
met de Europese wetgeving.

1.D TOEPASSING
Dit product is uitsluitend geschikt in zoet water met een watertemperatuur van
+4°C tot +35°C, in vijvers en waterpartijen. Niet geschikt voor zee(zout) water en/
of vloeistoffen waartegen het product niet bestand is (b.v. chemische vloeistof-
fen).
De UV-c lamp wekt ultraviolette straling op, die micro-organismen vernietigd,
zoals zweefalgen. Alleen organismen die met het water meegevoerd worden
door het apparaat, worden vernietigd.
Nuttige bacteriën hechten zich op vele plaatsen in de vijver op planten, stenen,
wand etc. en worden niet met het water meegevoerd in het apparaat.
Een UV-c apparaat wordt in combinatie met een vijverfilter gebruikt om de verni-
etigde algen uit het water te filteren.
Na ca. 8.000 bedrijfsuren wekt de lamp geen UV-c straling meer op en dient ver-
vangen te worden. (zie hoofdstuk onderhoud).

2. VEILIGHEID
Let op! Het gebruik van dit apparaat is alleen toegestaan als de
aanwezige elektrische installatie voldoet aan de wettelijke nor-
men.
Het apparaat mag alleen aangesloten worden op een installatie met een aard-
lekschakelaar (30mA) en een contactdoos met randaarde.
De contactdoos dient op een vochtvrije plaats, minstens 2 meter van de rand van
het water geplaatst te zijn. Bescherm het apparaat tegen direct zonlicht en regen.
Het apparaat mag niet ondergedompeld worden in water, voorkom dat het appa-
raat kan overstromen.
De UV-c (en pomp) mogen niet in werking zijn als er zich personen in het water
bevinden of aan de apparatuur werken. Voor toepassing bij zwemvijvers gelden
specifieke elektrische voorschriften.
Het apparaat is voorzien van een UV-c lamp. UV-c straling is
schadelijk voor ogen en huid. Vermijd direct contact met de
lamp. Deze mag uitsluitend in gebruik zijn als de lamp in de be-
huizing is geplaatst.
Bij twijfel een vakkundige installateur raadplegen.
Personen, die deze handleiding niet kunnen opvolgen, mogen het appa-
raat niet gebruiken!
Dit apparaat is niet bestemd voor gebruik door personen en kinderen meteen
lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogensbeperking, of gebrek aan er-
varing en/of kennis.
Tenzij ze worden begeleid door een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun
veiligheid, of door het krijgen van een instructie hoe het apparaat te gebruiken.
Er moet op worden toegezien dat kinderen niet met het apparaat
kunnen spelen.
Bij alle werkzaamheden aan het apparaat en/of vijver of ander
systeem, waarmee het UVc-apparaat in verbinding staat, dient

eerst de netstekker uit de contactdoos genomen te worden en eventueel andere
apparaten die aangekoppeld zijn.
Houdt de stekker vrij van vocht. Om te voorkomen dat water via het snoer naar
de stekker loopt, moet er een lus gevormd worden.
Voordat het apparaat in gebruik wordt genomen, moet eerst het apparaat onder-
zocht worden op mogelijke beschadigingen.
Bij beschadiging van het netsnoer, ballast, uv-c lamp of behuizing, mag het niet
meer gebruikt worden.
2.A HET UV-C APPARAAT GEREED MAKEN VOOR GEBRUIK IN
DE VIJVER
• Monteer het apparaat op een stevige ondergrond in een goed geventileerde
omgeving.
• Bevestig de grootste maat slang op de meegeleverde slangkoppelingen,
daarmee wordt de capaciteit minder gereduceerd. De verloopkoppelingen
afzagen op de toegepaste maat slang.
• Sluit het UV-c apparaat op een vijverfilter aan, om de vernietigde algen uit
het water te filteren.
• Het UV-c apparaat mag uitsluitend ingeschakeld
worden, nadat deze geheel gevuld is met water en vol-
doende water door het apparaat stroomt. De lamp is in
werking als het zichtvenster blauw oplicht.
• De maximum druk mag niet hoger liggen dan 1 Bar
(10 m) als de pomp in werking is.
3. ONDERHOUD
De veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht nemen!
Het UV-c apparaat is onderhoudsarm, maar niet onderhoudsvrij.
Om de levensduur te verlengen en een probleemloze werking te garanderen,
adviseren wij regelmatig reiniging uit te voeren. Met weinig handelingen kan elke

persoon al het onderhoudswerk probleemloos uitvoeren.
Vijverwater stroomt in de behuizing langs het kwartsglas, waardoor na enige
tijd (kalk)aanslag op de het glas ontstaat. UV-c licht zal daarom minder goed het
doorstromende water bereiken, waardoor de werking vermindert. Het kwarts-
glas periodiek reinigen.
3.A UV-C APPARAAT DEMONTEREN EN UV-C LAMP VERVAN-
GEN / REINIGEN
A. Draai de kop open in de aangegeven richting.
B. De kop samen met de uv-c lamp uit de behuizing nemen.
C. UV-c lamp uit de houder nemen en vervangen als dat nodig is.
D. 4 schroeven opendraaien.
E. Neem de beugel uit de behuizing.
F. Neem de houder met kwartglasbuis voorzichtig uit de behuizing.
G. Verwijder vuil en kalkaanslag met een zacht doekje en natuurazijn.
Vermijd handcontact met de lamp: UV-c lamp met een doekje
vasthouden.

4. WINTERVOORBEREIDINGEN
1. Bij naderende, aanhoudende vorst het apparaat uit gebruik nemen.
2. Reinig de set grondig, zoals onder hoofdstuk 3 beschreven is.
3. Controleer of het netsnoer niet beschadigd is.
4. Het apparaat op een vorstvrije plaats bewaren.

7. GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN
Op het apparaat wordt 36 maanden garantie verleend, die ingaat op het moment
van aankoop. De datum op de aankoopfactuur geldt als ingangsdatum. Bewaar
de factuur, je hebt deze nodig als je aanspraak op garantie wilt maken.
7.A WAT HOUDT GARANTIE IN
Garantie verlenen we op materiaal en/of constructiefouten, het apparaat of on-
derdelen daarvan worden binnen de garantietermijn kosteloos hersteld of ver-
vangen.
UV-c lamp en kwartsglas gelden als natuurlijke slijtage of breuk en zijn niet in de
garantievoorwaarden ingesloten.
Bij een garantiebeoordeling checken we of je product goed is onderhouden. Als
