You will receive two master
keys and one spare key.
The key number is on the
accompanying plastic tag.

The ignition switch andsteering
lock, fuel filler cap and the hel-
met/seat lock are all operated
with the same key. System
casesOA with locks for the same
key can be ordered on request.

If the motorcycle is fitted with
BMW Integral ABSOE, only RE-
SIDUAL BRAKING FUNCTION-
ALITY is available when the
ignition is switched off (b69)

Key positions

Never turn the key to OFF or
Iwhile riding the
motorcycle!
ON Operating position,
ignition, lights and all
electrical circuits

* The key can be removed in these

Hazard warning lights

You cannot activate the hazard
warning flashers ifthe ignition is
switched off.
Do not use the hazard warning
flashers for longer than abso-
lutely necessary.
Note state of battery charge.

•Turn key in helmet/seat lock

met/seat lock until it engages

Max. load per System case:
22 lbs (10 kg).
With System cases installed,
it is advisable not to exceed
80 mph (130 km/h).
