oExterior mirror package: the mirrors
can be folded in automatically using the
integrated electric fold-in function (e.g. in
a car wash), and can then be folded back
into position at the touch of a button.
sOrnamental front grille with chrome
surround and black kidney slats (in the
Z4 3.0si1the kidney slats come in silk matt
graphite as shown.)
oFog lights integrated into the front air dam.
The foglamps provide extra safety in bad
weather conditions (including heated exterior
mirrors and front screenwasher nozzles).
(Standard on Z4 2.5i, Z4 2.5si and Z4 3.0si1).
oXenon headlights for high and low beam,
incl. light rings, with automatic range control
and headlight washing system. For much
better illumination of the road ahead in bad
weather or poor visibility.
sSide indicator in front side panel;
integrated into the BMW emblem.
sBrake-Force Display helps following
drivers to judge your braking situation. Under
full braking force, the illuminated surface of
the brake lights increases. Traffic in the rear
can immediately distinguish between light
and full braking force – to the greater safety
of everyone.
Headlight surrounds in black (standard on
Z4 2.0i, Z4 2.5i and Z4 2.5si).
sWhite indicator lights, an attractive
detail lending your BMW Z4 an especially
sporting look.
Headlight surrounds in matt chrome (standard
on Z4 3.0si1).
oHeadlight washing system: when the
lights are on, the headlights are automatically
cleaned in parallel with the windscreen
whenever the right-hand steering column
lever is activated.

oWind deflector reduces irritating drafts and
annoying isolated turbulence in the shoulder
and neck region; consisting of two panes
securely fitted into the rollbars and a frame-
based net spanning between them. If the net
is not required, it can be stored in a special
storage rack in the luggage compartment.
sManual roof operation, central lock for
single-handed operation; thanks to the
special folding mechanism no canopy or
top lid is needed.
oFully automatic roof operation, at the
touch of a button the soft top opens/closes
in approx. ten seconds. The soft top can also
be operated via remote control (standard on
Z4 3.0si).
oHardtop in body colour. Equipped with
integrated roof spoiler to reinforce the sporty
appearance of the Z4 Roadster (available as
Original BMW Accessory).
sGlass rear window, heated; scratch-proof
rear window ensures optimal back vision at
all times.
oPark Distance Control (PDC) for the rear
area; facilitates parking and manoeuvring in
tight spaces. The distance between your car
and any obstacle is indicated acoustically.
sSoft top (closed): the generously lined soft top is a harmonious match for the sporting,
dynamic design of the Z4 Roadster, and insulates the interior against noise and extremes of
temperature. Available in Black, Grey and Dark Beige (see colour combination table).

oElectric seat adjustment, for driver’s and
passenger’s seats, for easy adjustment of
seat position, incl. memory function for
driver’s seat (three personalised positions
can be stored for the settings of the driver’s
seat).
Driving Dynamic Control (sport mode), at
the touch of a button, engine response to the
accelerator becomes even more spontaneous.
With the automatic gearbox, the sport program
is engaged and gear shifts occur faster. Steering
assistance is also reduced for improved feel
of the road, and cruise control accelerates
faster (standard on the Z4 2.5si and Z4 3.0si1).
oSeat heating for driver and front
passenger ensures a pleasantly warm seat
surface within minutes (three settings)
(standard on Z4 3.0si1).
oM sports seats for driver and front
passenger, sporty design with integrated
headrests; optimum lateral support in
dynamic driving situations provided by highly-
contoured seat sides; wide range of longi-
tudinal settings; individual adjustment for
seat height, thigh support and seat angle.
sStandard seat “Sport” for driver and
front passenger, deep moulded surface area,
optimum lateral support in every driving situation
provided by highly-contoured seat sides;
wide range of settings even for taller people;
individual adjustment for seat height and seat
angle (shown here in Oregon leather Black).
oCruise control lets you store and maintain
a chosen speed (for speeds of 30 km/h and
higher). Activated via the left hand side
steering column switch. Deactivated by
applying the brakes. After accelerating the
set speed is automatically resumed.
sSports steering wheel (diameter 358 mm),
three spokes.
oSports leather steering wheel, incl. gear
lever knob and handbrake lever gaiters in
leather (standard on Z4 2.5si and Z4 3.0si1).

o6-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic, Adaptive Transmission Management
(ATM) and Shift/Interlock. Steptronic enables you to select gears manually, without the need
for a clutch pedal (available on Z4 2.5i). Featuring additionally more sporting character and
steering-wheel mounted gearshift paddles (available on Z4 2.5si and Z4 3.0si1).
s6-speed manual transmission, makes for
extremely dynamic driving. Smooth and optimally
synchronized, it boasts precise, short throw
gear shifts. Thanks to the close transmission
ratio the engine is even more responsive to your
own personal style of driving.
oOn-board computer provides data on
average speed, average fuel consumption,
range, time and outside temperature
(standard on the Z4 2.5i, Z4 2.5si and Z4
3.0si1).
oTV function for navigation system
Professional; the TFT screen can be used
as a TV set (incl. teletext) when the car is
parked. Can receive terrestrially broadcast
analogue and digital (DVB-T) transmissions.

oAutomatic air conditioning, including
AAR, rapidly provides the desired climatic
conditions in the interior of the vehicle and
maintains the selected temperature, including
memory function for individual manual settings.
The integrated Automatic Air Recirculation
(AAR) ensures that pollutants in the air do not
enter the vehicle above a certain concentration.
Front armrest, ergonomic design (standard
with design package “Active Sports”, Full
Leather “New England” or Leather “Oregon”)
(standard on Z4 3.0si2).
oRadio BMW Business CD, 4 x 25 watt
power output, antenna diversity, integrated CD
drive, motorised CD insert/eject, incl. MP3-
decoder. Connection for BMW CD changer.

oHiFi speaker system with ten loudspeakers
to provide a brilliant sound.

New Carver technology produces an especially
brilliant bass at low volume. In addition the
system allows you to reproduce various
acoustic sound types.

sRunflat Indicator detects drops in tyre
pressure and warns the driver with an indicator
light in the instrument panel. Should pressure
drop dramatically over a short period, the driver
is warned by an additional acoustic signal.0

(shown here); when the level of light from
following vehicles reaches a predefined
intensity the automatic anti-glare function is
activated (is included in the interior lights

control: when activated, the rain sensor
automatically turns the wipers on and
adjusts the wiper frequency according to the
intensity of the rain. The headlights are auto-

in the event of an attempted break-in or any
tampering with the vehicle the alarm emits
an acoustic signal and switches on the
hazard warning lights.

between the seats; remote control with
automatically recharging battery in the key.
sElectric window lifts incl. comfort control
also controlled by the key by pressing and
holding the central locking button on the key

Bluetooth interface, incl. hands-free
installation, charger connection and antenna.
Snap-in adapter (Original BMW Accessory)
connects a Bluetooth mobile phone, which
can be operated, for example, via the multi-
function steering wheel. Your BMW
partner will be happy to inform you about
recommended telephones.
oVoice control system for navigation
system Professional. Voice computer can be
activated at a press of a button on the sports
leather steering wheel with multifunction,
and telephone or navigation system can be
controlled via voice direction.
oChrome Line interioranthracite lends your
automobile the exclusive touch. Includes
chrome inserts on the interior door handles, gear
lever/selector and, on the Roadster, roll bars
(standard on the Z4 3.0si1).
