8) If the light gets weaker over time, you should change the battery. To do this you have to open the lid of the lantern head
and open the two battery compartments.
To change the battery you need three 1.2V 600mAH, type AA Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries.
Remove the used batteries from the holder. Put the new batteries in the
Battery compartments and pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting.
Put the lid back on the holder and screw it together.
The optimal position of the solar lantern
Place the solar lantern in a sunny spot. The lantern must receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Shady or covered
places affect the performance of the battery. The battery can not be recharged fully. This can lead to a lower performance
at night.
Please do not place the lantern near artificial light (such as street lamps). The solar panel contains a sensor that measures
the brightness. The sensor can not work properly near artificial light.
The Solar Lantern provides ideal light to sit outside in the summer, in the evening, or at night, to take a walk through the
park or garden.

First steps and commissioning of the article
How the LED Solar Lantern works
During the day, the solar panel picks up the sun‘s rays and stores that energy in a rechargeable battery. As soon as it gets dark,
the lantern turns on automatically. The stored solar energy is released as light again. How long the solar lantern lights depends
on how long it has been charged with solar energy. With 10 hours of sunshine during the day, the lantern lights up to 8 hours in
the evening.
Commissioning the article
1) Remove all slides from the item. Check if the article is complete.
2) Pick up the lantern head and turn the gray bracket until it releases from the bracket.
3) You can see the solar panel and the „ON / OFF“ switch.
4) Set the switch from „OFF“ to „ON“ and check the functionality of the item by holding your hand over the solar panel.
The LED light should light up when the solar panel darkens. If successful, retighten the bracket.
5) Insert the two metal connecting rods into each other. Insert the end of the metal bar into the base.
Place the lantern head standing on ON on the end of the connecting rod.
6) Now you can find a suitable place in the sun for your solar lantern.
With the included hooks you can attach the LED Solar Lantern in the soft ground.
7) If the light does not shine in the dark after at least 6 hours of sun exposure, please check the following:
- Check that the „ON / OFF“ switch is set to „ON“.
- Please check if the battery is in contact with the two poles.
- Check if the lantern is in a sunny spot. The solar panel inside must be directly in the sun to be facing.
Eventually, the battery may have been damaged by the transport route.
