
Safety instrucons for the baery pack
• Do not dismantle, open, smash or burn the baery pack.
• Do not short-circuit the baery pack. Do not store the baery pack inappropriately in a box or drawer where they may short-circuit each other or be short-
circuited by conducve materials. When baery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metal objects, that can make a connecon from one terminal to another. Shorng the baery terminals together may cause burns or a re.
• Do not expose the baery pack to sources of heat or re.
• Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
• Do not subject the baery pack to mechanical shock.
• In the event of baery leaking, do not allow the liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash the aected area with
copious amounts of water and seek medical advice.
• Seek medical advice immediately if a baery pack has been swallowed.
• Keep the baery pack clean and dry.
• Wipe the baery pack terminals with a clean dry cloth if they become dirty.
• The baery pack needs to be charged before use.
• Use the correct charging procedure.
• Aer extended periods of storage, it may be necessary to charge and discharge the baery pack several mes to obtain maximum performance.
• The battery pack performs optimally when it is operated at normal room temperature (20°C ± 5°C).
• Recharge only with the specied charger. Do not use any charger other than the one that is provided.
• Do not use any baery pack which is not designed for use with the equipment.
• Keep the baery pack out of the reach of children.
• Remove the baery from the equipment when not in use.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (–) marks on the baery and ensure correct use.
• Make sure the baery is removed prior to changing accessories and before maintenance or repair work.
• Keep the baery away from microwaves and high pressure.
Safety instrucons for the baery charger
• Before charging, read the instrucons.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the charger.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not charge baeries that are damaged in any way.
• Do not use the charger outdoors when it's raining.
• Protect the charger from moisture.
• Do not short out the contacts of baery or charger.
• Respect the polarity “+/-“ when charging.
• Do not open the unit and keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not charge the baeries of other manufacturers or any incompable baeries.
• Ensure that the connecon between the baery charger and baery is correctly posioned and is not obstructed by foreign bodies.
• Keep the charger clean and store in a dry and frost-free place.
• When charging baeries, ensure that the baery charger is in a well-venlated area and away from ammable materials. Baeries can get hot during
charging. Do not overcharge any baeries. Ensure that the charger is supervised while it is charging baeries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable baeries, as they can overheat and break.
•Use the charger in areas where the air temperature is between 18°C and 24°C in order to prolong its life and ensure optimal performance. Do not charge
the battery pack in air temperatures below 0°C, or above 45°C as this can cause serious damage to the battery pack.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when operang the machine as intended and in accordance with the instrucons that this manual contains, the following residual risks sll remain:
• Health issues resulng from prolonged exposure to the power tool’s vibraons. An example of such a health issue includes ‘‘whitenger’’ disease. In order to
reduce the risk of developing ‘‘whitenger’’ disease, please wear gloves, keep your hands warm and take frequent breaks. If any of ‘‘whitenger’’ symptoms
appear, seek medical advice immediately. ‘‘Whitenger’’ symptoms include: numbness, loss of feeling, ngling, pricking, pain, loss of strength, changes in
skin colour or condion. These symptoms normally appear in the ngers, hands or wrists. The risk increases at low temperatures.
• Injuries and damage to property due to broken cung aachments or due to kickback.
• Injury and property damage caused by ying objects.
