Connecting your Wave®

The music adapter connects directly
to
your Wave®system.
1. Plug the adapter cable (with the words
Bose
®
link facing up) into the
Bose
link connector on
the rear
of
the system.

Place the adapter

a convenient location. It does not need
to
be within view.
If the adapter is
to
the left
of
the system (as you face it), be sure the

are at least

Pairing
a
Bluetooth
enabled
device
The
Wave®
8/uetooth® music adapter wirelessly connects your Wave®system
to
your
mobile phone, tablet computer, or other8/uetooth enabled device.
1.
Make
the
Wave®
system
Discoverable
•
For
the
Wave®
Radio
Ill
and
Wave®
Music
System
Ill:
Using your Wave®system remote
control, press the AUX button until BLUETOOTH appears on the Wave®system display
panel. Press and hold down the Presets 5 button for 5 seconds.
•
For
the
Acoustic
Wave®
Music
System II: Using yourWave®system remote control, press
the CD button until BLUETOOTH appears on the Wave®system display panel. Press and
hold down the Presets 5 button for 5 seconds.
The indicator on the music adapter flashes steadily and DISCOVERABLE flashes on the
Wave®system display panel.

Bose
Adapter
from
the
Device
List
Turn on your phone, tablet computer,
or
other device and locate its 8/uetooth device list.
Scroll through the device list and select "Bose Adapter".

Enter
Passcode
If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000. Some devices also ask you
to
accept the
connection.

4.
Complete Pairing
The
Wave®
system emits a brief beep and BLUETOOTH appears on the display panel when
the connection is ready for use.
Note:
To
pairadditionaldevices (up to
6),
repeat steps 1-3 above. Only one device can
be
used
at
a time.
If
you don't
hear
audio from
the
Wave®system:
Restart
the
music application
If you
don't
hear music from the
Wave®
system after successfully pairing your 8/uetooth enabled
device, you may need to quit and restart your music application.
Check
the
volume controls
For best performance, make sure:
• Your
Wave®
system volume is turned up and not muted.
• The volume on your Bluetooth enabled device is turned up and not muted.
• Your music application is running and the volume is turned up and not muted.

Using
multiple
Bluetooth
enabled
devices
Ifyou have paired more than one 8/uetooth enabled device, remember that the Wave®system
can only play music from one device at a time.
Disconnect
one
source
before
connecting
another
•
To
disconnect
a
Bluetooth
enabled
device,
turn
off
the
device's
Bluetooth
feature.
The device will remain in the
Wave®
system's memory and will automatically reconnect
when you turn on the device's 8/uetooth feature.
•
Wait
for
the
Wave®
system
to
find
your
device.
When powered on, the Wave®system will scroll through each
of
the 8/uetooth enabled
devices
in
its memory. If you have multiple paired devices, there may be a short delay
while the system searches through the list.
Clearing
the
memory
Press and hold the Presets 6 button on the remote for 1
0 seconds until you hear a tone.
The Wave®system clears all devices from its memory and returns
to
discoverable mode.

To operate a paired mobile phone, tablet computer, or other Bluetooth enabled device, use the
remote included with your
Wave® system. (The remote is not included with the music adapter.)

• Make sure your music application is running and the volume is turned up and
not muted.
• Close or quit the music application
on
your Bluetooth enabled device and restart it.
• Restart your Bluetooth enabled device.
• Move the music adapter farther from the Wave®system.
• Decrease the distance between the
Wave
®system and your Bluetooth enabled
device.
•
Try
moving the
Wave®
system away from possible sources
of
interference such as
another wireless device, a microwave oven, or wireless computer network router.
• If you continue
to
experience reception problems, contact
Bose®
Customer
Service. Refer
to
the address list included in the carton.
• Make sure your media player or Internet radio application is selected as the active
window.
Note:
Not all players and Internet radio services support this form
of
playback
control.

Limited warranty
Who is covered:
This warranty is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the
product as a gift, and shall not be extended
to any other person or transferee.
What is covered/For how long:
For a period of 1 year (2 years, European Union) from the date of retail purchase by the original
end-use purchaser,
Bose® warrants that this product, when delivered to you in new condition, in
original packaging, from a Bose authorized reseller and used
in normal conditions, is free from
any defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship.

What is not covered:
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper
or unreasonable use or
maintenance; failure to follow operating instructions; accident; excess moisture; insects;
lightning; power surges; connections
to improper voltage supply; unauthorized alteration or
.modification of original condition; damages caused by inadequate packing or shipping
procedures; loss of, damage to
or corruption of stored data; damages caused by use with non-
Bose® products; product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any
country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or
authorized, or repair
of products damaged bythese modifications; and products purchased from
unauthorized dealers.
What we will do:
During the warranty period, we will, at oursole option, repair
or replace (using new or refurbished
replacement parts) any defective parts within a reasonable period
of time and free of charge.
What we will not do:
Pay shipping, insurance
or transportation charges from you to us, or any import fees, duties and
taxes.
