Fabric OS (FOS) v6.4.1 is a mai te a ce release based o FOS v6.4.0. All hardware platforms a d

features supported i FOS v6.4.0 are also supported i v6.4.1. This release also co tai s fixes for

ma y defects i cludi g those from the FOS v6.4.0a, b, a d c patch releases.

I additio to the fixes oted above a d listed i the defect tables at the e d of this docume t, FOS

v6.4.1 also i cludes support for several features.

software. N_Port Tru ki g allows two physical 8 Gbps li ks to be combi ed i to a si gle logical 16

Gbps li k. Use of this feature requires that the Brocade Tru ki g a d SAO lice ses are i stalled o

the FOS-based switch to which the Brocade HBA is co ected.

•Support for DCBX Applicatio Protocol Type Le gth Values (TLV), aka “iSCSI TLV

pairs (defi ed as FCIP Circuits) via multiple 1GbE or 10GbE i terfaces to provide a high ba dwidth

FCIP tu el a d failover resilie cy. I additio , each FCIP circuit supports four QoS classes (Class-F,

Hi, Medium a d Low Priority), each as a TCP co ectio . The Adaptive Rate Limiti g feature provides

a mi imum ba dwidth guara tee for each tu el with full utilizatio of the available etwork

ba dwidth without impacti g throughput performa ce u der high traffic load. This lice se is available

o the 7800 a d the DCX/DCX-4S for the FX8-24 o a i dividual slot basis.

Supported Switches

Fabric OS v6.4.1 supports the Brocade 300, 5410/5424/5450/5460/5470/5480/NC-5480, 4100, 4900,

5000, 5100, 5300, VA-40FC, 7500/7500E, 7600, 48000, Brocade E cryptio Switch (BES), DCX/DCX-4S,

8000, a d the 7800. All supported products are qualified for Native Co ectivity i i teropmodes 2 a d 3 for

deployme t i M-EOS fabrics with the exceptio of the Brocade 4100 a d 8000 a d DCX/DCX-4S with o e or

more FCOE10-24 blades.

Access Gateway mode is also supported by Fabric OS v6.4.1, a d is supported o the followi g switches: the

Brocade 300, 5100, VA-40FC, 8000, 5450, 5460, 5470, 5480, NC-5480 a d M5424.

Note: Although Fabric OS v6.4.1 ca be i stalled o a y of the switches oted above, always check your SAN,

storage or blade server product support page or docume t to verify before i stalli g o your switch. Use o ly

FOS versio s that are specified by the provider to e sure full support of your switch.

Standards Compliance

This software co forms to the Fibre Cha el Sta dards i a ma er co siste t with accepted

e gi eeri g practices a d procedures. I certai cases, Brocade might add proprietary suppleme tal
