IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To educe the isk of pe sonal inju y o p ope ty damage when using elect ical

12. It is ecommended that this appliance not be moved when it contains hot oil
o othe hot liquid.
13. Do not clean with metal scou ing pads. They can sc atch and uin the finish
of you unit. Pieces can also b eak off the pad and touch elect ical pa ts,
c eating a shock haza d.
14. Exerc se extreme caut on when us ng conta ners constructed of ceram c
or glass. Do not use plast c d shes or plast c wraps on heat ng elements.
15. Do not cove the ange with metal foils; this may cause ove heating of the unit.
16. Do not use appliance fo othe than intended use.

Longe co d sets o extension co ds may be used if ca e is p ope ly exe cised
in thei use. If a long co d set o extension co d is used, the ma ked elect ical
ating of the co d set o extension co d should be at least as g eat as the elect ical
ating of the appliance. The longe co d should be a anged so that it will not
d ape ove the counte top o table top whe e it can be pulled on by child en o
t ipped ove accidentally.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
General Descr pt on:
Ou po table anges a e the solution fo high-demand use. The high-g ade, long-
life heating plates a e equipped with an infinitely va iable cont ol.
The light will come on ONLY du ing heat cycle. It will cycle on and off with
tempe atu e.
In t al Use:
Heat the appliance without a pot fo app oximately 10 minutes at maximum setting
in o de fo the special coating to seal. Tempo a y smoking is no mal du ing initial
use.
Cook ng Utens ls:
Use only pots and pans designed fo elect ic anges with the suitable diamete .
Uneven o too-small pot bottoms do not allow efficient heating and will esult in
loss of ene gy.
l The PCR-1B & PCR-1S cast i on heating elements a e 7-1/8 diamete .
l The PCR-2S cast i on heating elements a e 7-3/8 diamete (la ge) and
6 diamete (small.)
D rect ons for Use:
The heating element is equipped with a patented the mostatic system which gives
an infinitely va iable tempe atu e selection. You heating element always heats
up with maximum powe until it eaches the tempe atu e you selected. The eafte ,
the the mostat adjusts itself to maintain the tempe atu e; this is indicated by the
pilot lamp going on and off. Afte a sho t pe iod of time, you will find the tempe atu e
that is ight fo you application, and e-setting the tempe atu e is gene ally not
necessa y.
