ME CH ANICAL DESCRIPTIONS
[I] Needle bar, thread take-up, lower shaft and ro tary h ook mechanism
1) When the machine pulley 0 rotates in the direct ion of the arrow, the motion is transmitted to the
thread take-up crank@ t hrough the upper shaft@.
2) The motion is then transmitted to the thread take- up lever €) throu gh the needle bar crank e attached
to the thread take-up crank@.
The needle bar f) connected with the needle bar crank@ makes vertical movement.
3) When the machine pulley 0 rotates in the direction of the arrow, the motion is tran smitted via the
eccentric part of the upper shaft@. Then, the cra nk rod@ makes vertical movement.
4) Th e rock gea r@ attached to the crank rod@ osci llate s.
5) The oscillation of the gear @ is transmitted to the lower shaft ID through the lower shaft gear ®. Then
the driv er@ and inner rotary hook (LB) ® ofthe rotaty hook mechanism also osc illate.

~ Work clamp lifter mechanism

@1 Feed mechanism (X axis)
1) The oscillation of the actuating gear@ attached to pulse motor X 0 is transmitted to the idle gear@).
2) The oscillation of the idle gear @ is transmitted to timing pulley A €) attached to X-pulley shaft (L) 9
and the to the X-timing belt @.
3) . The X-feed bracket fl fixed on the X timing belt @ moves right and left (in the X direction) through the
X-retainer@ and X-feed guide (F) @.
Feed mechanism (Y axis)
1) The oscillation of the actuating gear @ attached on pulse motor Y 0 is transmitted to the Y-driving
shaft@.
2) The presser arm assembly @ moves via the X-feed shaft support 9 and the X-feed shaft €) which are
attached to theY-driving shaft@). The presser arm assembly@ is also attached to theY-feed bracket fl.
3) TheY-feed bracket f) oscillates in theY direction (forward and backward) with theY-retainer@ and the
Y-feed guide@.

[A] Intermittent presser mechanism
1) The uppershaft 0 rotates. Then, the intermittent presser cam @ attached to the upper shaft 0 moves
eccentrically. Intermittent presser arm (R) 0 oscillates via the intermittent presser connecting rod@.
2) The oscillation of intermittent presser arm (R) 0 is transmitted to the intermittent link assembly ® via
intermittent presser arm (F) 0. Then, the presser bar lifter f1 makes vertical movement.

~ Thread trimmer mechanism
1) The thread trimming signal turns ON. The thread trimming solenoid 0 operates the solenoid lever @.
2) The driving lever collar @) operates in the direction of the arrowvia the solenoid lever @. The motion is
transmitted to thethread trimmerdriving leverassembly@ attached to the driving leverguide shaft 0.
3) The roller @ attached to the thread trimmer driving lever €) moves into the groove of the thread
trimmer cam fi. Thread trimmerrod (S) @ operates in the direction of the arrow.
4) Thread trimmerrod (L) ® operates in the direction of the arrowvia thread trimmer lever (D) @.
Thread trimmer connecting rod (L) @ and the thread trimmer connecting rod @ · operate in the
direction of the arrowvia the connecting lever 4D.
5) As thread trimmer connecting rod (L) @ and the thread trimmer connecting rod @ move in the direction
of the arrow, the movable knife G) and the fixed knife~ operate to trim the thread.

[§] Tension release mechanism
<When the work clamp rises>
1) When the sewing machine is stopped, the air cylinder 0 operates. Then, the presser and the work
clamp rise simultaneously.
2) The aircylinder 0 operates. Then, the work clamp lifter lever assembly @) and the presser bar lifter rod
0 operate via the joint @. The end of the work clamp lifter lever @) pushes up the presser bar clamp 0.
Then the presser bar €) and the work clamp f) make vertical movement.
<When the thread is trimmed>
1) The tension release signal turns ON. The thread trimming solenoid 0 operatesthe solenoid lever@.
2) The driving lever collar @) operates in the direction of the arrow via the solenoid lever @ roller. The
motion is transmitted to the thread trimmerdriving lever 0 attached on the driving lever guide shaft e.
3) The pin of the presser rod lever assembly €) moves into the groove of the thread trimmer driving lever
0 . Then the presser wire f) and thetension release lever@ operate in the derection of the arrow.
4) The side of thetension release lever@ pushes the tension release shaft@.
5) The end of the tension release shaft @ pushes the tension release pin tiD. Then, the tension disc is
opened.

l1J Thread wiper mechanism
1) After thread trimming, the thread wiper signal turns ON, then the thread wipersolenoid 0 operates.
2) The plunger @ operates in the direction of the arrow. Then the thread wiper crank assembly e
attached on the thread wiper connecting rod@ operates in the direction of the arrow.
3) The wiper 0 attached on the thread wiper crank assembly e operates.

DISASSEMBLY
lii Machine covers
1) Remove the screws. Then remove the side cover 0, belt covers (U) @ and (D) @), and the Y-feed guide
shaftcover
0.
2) Remove the screw and the table rear cover@ with guide shaftcover (R)@.
3) Remove the screw and the bellow assembly fl.
4) Remove the screw and X-feed bracketcovers (R) @) and (L) @).
5) Remove the screw and XY -feed base covers (R) 4li> and (L) ID.
6) Remove the screw and the top co.ver 0.
7) Remove the plunger pin @of the thread wiper solenoid, the screw, the eye guard ID and the face plate
@.

~ Machine head
1} Remove the bolt 0 for fixing the machine head.
NOTE: The bolt for fixing the machine head is used only when shipping. Normally keep it in another place
afterremoving it.
2) Tilt the machine. Be sure to lock the head supportshaft@ inthe head support lever@).
3} Remove the belt €) from the pulley 9.
4) Loosen theset screw f) of the GS spring @) and remove GS spring shaft (U}@.
5) Loosen the set screw @) and remove the head support shaft ((i) from the head support lever (f). Use
caution!
6} Return the machine to itsoriginal position. Lower gently.
7) Remove the four bolts@ of the head hinge.
8) Remove the cords.
9) Shiftthe machine head from the powertable to the working table.
NOTE: The machine head weighs 70 kg to 80 kg.

~ Presser mechanism
[For air separation presser]
1) Remove the screws 0 and @I the work damp@ and the needle 0.
2) Remove the bolt €) I work damp {SER)@) I presser foot {L) tj I work clamp {SEL)@ and presser foot {R)@).
3) Remove the screw«!> I and the feed plate@ from theY-feed bracket m.
4) Take the auxiliary plate sheet@ off from the needle sub plate 6).
5) Remove the screw@ and the needle sub plate 4D.
[For air presser]
1) Remove the bolt 01 the work damp {UNL) assembly @I the presser plate {UNL) assembly@.
2) Repeat steps 3 to 5 in the [For air separation presser] mentioned above.

[j] Work clamp lifter mechanism
Stop ring~ .... -
1) Loosen the nut 0 and remove the adjust screw @,the spring guide @) and the spring 0 from the
machine top.
2) Loosen the bolt of intermittent presser arm (R) @ from the machine top and remove the stud screw @
attached to the arm and the stop ring of the presser bar lifter f) from the face plate side. Remove
intermittent presser arm (F)@ and the intermittent linkassembly@.
3) Push the presser bar tiD up from the portion of the body with needle mechanism, then remove it from
the presser bar bush ID.
(The presser bar lifter f), the cushion @ and the presser barclamp@ will come off as a unit.)

~ Needle bar mechanism
Thread take-up crank
1} Remove the oil cap 0 and needle barthread guide (A}@.
2} Loosen the screw of the needle bar clamp@ and remove the needle bare from the machinetop.
3} Remove the needle bar clamp@ from the thread take-uplever 0.
(At thistime, the slide block@) will come off.}
4} Remove the oil cap 6 and loosen the setscrew@. Then, remove the thread take-up supportstud@).
5} Re~ove the oil cap ([!). Loosen the screw and set screw of the thread take-up crank 6) and remove the
, thread take-up lever 0.
(The thread take-up assembly will come off.}

III Up_per shaft mechanism
1} Remove thescrew 0 and thethread trimming solenoid@.
2) Remove the screw@) and the wick support 0.
3) Remove the screw 0 and the upper part of thecrank rod assembly@.
4) Loosen the set screw G and remove the pulley@.
5) Remove the screw @)

presser cam 4ID, the bobbin winder pulley @I the thread trimmer cam Wand upper shaft bush (R) fD will
come off from the uppershaft respectively.)

[1] Longitudinal feed mechanism (Y axis) (1)
1} Loosen theset screw 0 and remove the X-feed shaft@.
2} Remove the bolt@) and the presser arm assembly 0.
3} Remove the screw 0 and theY -axis home position base @.
4} Loosen the bolts @) of theY-driving shaft f) andY-driving guide shaft ED respectively. Remove theY-
driving guide shaft ED from the X-feed shaftsupport tiD.
5} Remove the bolt 0, theY-driving P motor bracket ID with the pulse motor (Y} assembly ®,and theY-
driving shaft fJ.

1) Remove the bolt @ of theY-feed guide 0. Remove theY-retainer @) and theY-feed bracket 9 as a
unit.
2) Remove the screws@ of theY-stopper 0, then theY-feed guide 0, Y-retainer@), Y-feed bracket 9.

1) Remove the bolts@) of X-feed guides (F) 0 and (R) @.
2} Remove the screw 0 of the X-feed bracket eI the belt holder @ and the timing belt spacer fJ from the
X-timing belt@). (The machine head should be standing.}
3} Remove the screws ® of the X-stopper @,then X-feed guides (F) 0 and (R} @1 the X-retainer ID and X-
feed brackete.

II) Traverse feed mechanism (X axis) (2)
X-pulley base (R)
1} Remove the bolt. Loosen the bolts of X-pulley base (R} 0 so that it moves right and left.
2} Loosen the setscrew@) oftiming pulley(B} @·and remove the stop ring. RemoveX-pulleyshaft(R} 0 in
the direction of the arrow. (Timing pulley(B)@, the two micro bearings 0 will come off.)
3) Loosen theset screw@) and remove the idle gear 6.
4) Loosen the set screw® of timing pulley(A)@.
5) Remove X-pulley shaft (L) ® inthe direction of the arrow, then X-timing belt ID.
