Convection Microwave/Trim Mounting Kit (681679)
This Convection Microwave/Trim Mounting Kit has been designed to improve the way in which the convection
microwave is secured to the trim kit base. The kit is available for the following SKUs:
BA268811 HMT8020 HMT8050 HMT8060 HMT8720
HMT8750 HMT8760 HZ25C530 MCT27EB MCT27ES
MCT30EB MCT30ES

Follow the instructions below to uninstall the original trim kit parts and install the parts included in the service kit.
Uninstall the Original Trim Kit Parts
1Remove trim kit frame.
2Slide microwave forward until power cord and receptacle
can be reached.
3Unplug power cord.
4 Remove 2 screws from base assembly, then remove and
discard base.

Assemble and Install the Mounting Kit
5By hand, bend the right and left anti-tip tabs on the
base assembly upward to a 90°angle.
6Install base assembly. With drill or Phillips screwdriver,
insert two ½” screws (circled below) into existing holes
for proper alignment. Insert four remaining ½” screws.
7 Remove all contents from inside microwave, including
glass tray and plastic guide. Lay microwave on pad or
blanket, and carefully flip the unit upside down.
8Using pliers, remove plastic feet from bottom of
microwave.
9 Insert latch in front of each base support.
10 With a flat-head screwdriver, secure base supports to
microwave using 4 self-tapping bolts. Insert bolts into
existing holes in bottom of microwave.
11 After plugging power cord back in, slide microwave
back into cabinet cutout. Be sure base supports fit
securely into rear brackets.
12 Insert Phillips-head #8-18 screw into front of each base
support (screws will thread into 90° anti-tip tabs).
13 Reattach exterior trim kit frame.
