DESCRIPTION

1 / Presentation:
The CAP5510 is a programmable amplification for analog and digital channels central
land.
The control unit can be programmed to select the frequency range of UHF 21-69
input / 21-60 (Lte 4 G) / 21-48 (Lte 5 G) and it allo s to amplify 10 filters UHF ith a
capacity of 1 to 7 channels each. These filters are divided into input 2 connectors. The
setting for the number of filters assigned to the entries is done by the programming
keypad or soft are (Windo s o Android).
It is also equipped ith B.I + FM, B.III/DAB, entries to the amplified.
The plant has a maximum gain of 55 dB UHF, each input can be attenuated by 20 dB if
the levels at the terminals of the antennas are too high, and each filter has a dynamic
of 30 dB programmatically setting in increments of 1 dB. The Central also benefits
from a general mitigation inter floor 20 DB through programming and 1 dB steps.
The programming is easy thanks to the display on the successive screens of all parameters
(filter no., mitigation, channel upper and lo er) of the filter being adjusted.
Cut-off filters not used, in order to reduce the current consumption and to avoid the
residual noise.
Transistors lo noise are used for the floors of entries and transistors to high output and
lo intermodulation are used for the output stages.
2 / Programming:
Central CAP5510 offers 3 different, but equivalent, for programming all parameters.
3

a) By means of a built-in Scheduler consists of a keyboard and a display hich is
located on the central part.
b) by using a graphics soft are for PC
Windo s compatible (connecting through
the USB from the central door).
c) By a tablet ith operating system Android 4.0 or successive. The application is
optimized for tablet ith screen from 5 "to 10".
Correct operation requires that the tablet is equipped ith a USB port hich is
authorized to the modality On The Go (OTG).
The latest tablets, produced by the major companies are normally provided.
For a correct connection must be used an adapter USB - OTG cable.

INSTALLATION
1 / Wall mount:
The central CAP5510 housing must only be installed indoors or in a protective
Cabinet.
The external dimensions of the CAP5510 are:
320 ( idth) x 260 (height) x 40 (depth) mm
It must be installed in a place protected and sufficiently ventilated to avoid any risk of
overheating (do not cover the different ventilation openings).
It shall be fixed on a flat surface by means of 4 mounting scre s.
2 / Connecting the ANTENNAS:
Connect the antenna cables depending on the selected configuration; the measuring
device of output, plug cord to a 230V respecting the standard C 15-100 and the
ground ire to the chassis of the Central socket.

finished.
The linearization algorithm ill solve the 115 default dBµV output level.
If you set a 100 dBµV output level:
With an input signal > to 70 dBµV UHF Interstage attenuator ill be set
automatically to-10dB allo ing a manual adjustment of the output level
bet een 90 and 110 dBµV if desired.
A signal input > 60 dBµV and < 70 dBµV, the UHF inter floor attenuator ill
automatically be set at 0dB hich allo s manual adjustment of the level of
output 80 dBµV to 100 dBµV if desired.
By an input signal too eak to guarantee a good C: N ratio, an alert ill be
displayed on the screen indicating the filter in question follo ed the LO symbol.
Press 'OK' to continue.
By a too high input signal, an alert ill appear on the screen indicating the filter
in question follo ed the symbol HI. Press 'OK' to continue.
11) PASSCODE TAMPER

At any time, the factory amplifier can be restored (all filters ithout programmed
channels and all filters and attenuator set to 0 dB).
Disconnect the po er from the po er supply.
Press the 'OK' button.
At the same time, reconnect the Central sector.
Wait 4 dashes appear on the display.
Release the «OK» key.
The screen returns to the position 'POWER ON' (screen off, bottom right led).
The amplifier is soft again.
13 / PRECAUTIONS FOR USE AND SAFETY
This programmable terrestrial plant has been designed in accordance ith international
safety and security la s in force.
Please read these instructions for use.
1 / CONNECTION OF THE SECTOR (198-26 VAC50/60 HZ)
This product must be connected to the mains. Where there is any doubt about the type
of connection available on installation, see EDF.
Before any operation of maintenance or modification on the installation are
implemented, the control unit must be disconnected.
2 / SURGE
An overvoltage on the mains cable, or from any extension to hich it ould be
connected, can lead to short circuits or fire. Never put the overvoltage po er cables.
11

3 / LIQUIDS
This plant must be protected from splashes. Make sure that no container containing
liquid is placed on or above the Central and that no other person do not spill liquid or
splashes Central.
/ CLEANING
Unplug the po er before cleaning. Use only a damp cloth (no solvents).
5 / VENTILATION
To ensure adequate air circulation and avoid overheating, the vents on the hood must
not be obstructed. The station must not be installed in an airtight area. It should be
placed on the unit other electronic or heat-producing products.
6 / ACCESSORIES
The use of accessories not built by the manufacturer may damage the plant.
7 / ANTENNA CONNECTION
Before connecting or disconnecting the antenna cables, the plant must be
disconnected from the sector.
Please note maximum levels of output on the product and not to exceed. In doubt,
lo er the faders to minimum before connecting the antennas.
If these recommendations are not applied, the antenna, the Central as ell as any
other equipment connected to the distribution net ork could be damaged.
8. CONNECTION TO THE DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
Disconnect the po er plant sector before connecting or disconnecting the cable
distribution net ork. If these recommendations are not follo ed, the Central as ell as
any other equipment connected to the distribution system may be damaged.
9 / THE MASS
The binding of the chassis to earth shall be made according to the standard EN 50083-
1
10 / CENTRAL LOCATION
The control unit must be installed in a flat and ell protected place a ay from direct light
from the Sun. Everything must be implemented to avoid sunny and humid places.
Do not install the unit near radiators or other heat-generating products.
Make sure that the plant is less than 10 cm from any other equipment of
electromagnetic influence.
To ensure adequate air circulation and avoid overheating, the vents on the hood must
12

not be obstructed. The station must not be installed in an airtight area.
Do not install the unit on unstable signs, tripods or table here it could fall. A central
drop can cause physical injury and material damage.
11 / VOLTAGE PEAKS
In case the plant ould be subject to accidental voltage peaks, it is advisable to
disconnect the Central sector and the antennas. If these recommendations are
follo ed, damage spikes, especially during maintenance of the electrical installation or
electrical storms, ill be avoided.
12 / FOREIGN OBJECTS
Never insert objects through air vents that may come into contact ith live components
or damage components.
13 / REPLACEMENT OF A COMPONENT
When replacing components, make sure that spare parts are compatible ith the
specifications of the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the parts to
replace. The use of components not follo ing these criteria can damage the plant.
Attention:
-The follo ing instructions must be follo ed to avoid damaging of the mains cable and
the po er source:
-The po er source or the mains cable must be used outside their normal function. Do
not excessively bend the cable.
-When you disconnect the po er cable, hold the cable by taking and not the cable
itself.
-Make sure that the cable is not exposed to any source of heat, hich could damage
the insulation material.
-The follo ing instructions must be observed so d ' avoid electric shock
-Do not open the Central
-Do not insert any metal or flammable objects
-Do not touch the connections of the area ith et or damp hands
-If a problem is identified by the use of the Central, disconnect it and contact your dealer
or technician. Continue to use the plant in case of problems can cause damage.
