LOCATION FOR SHOOTING YOUR MAGNUM DUAL SPINNER TARGET:
Be sure you have a safe backstop, such as a hill or berm of soft earth. Be sure the area beyond and beside the target is
safe and clear.
Place the Spinner directly onto firm, level ground. Soft or
Muddy ground can affect the function of the product. Do not
place the Spinner on concrete, asphalt or solid rock. Do not
elevate the Spinner. Always shoot directly at the Spinner
(shooter must be perpendicular to the target). See Photo 1.
Shooters must keep at least 100 yards back from the Spinner
while using rifles. Keep all bystanders behind the shooter.
LEAD SAFETY: Your Spinner Target and frame can accu-
mulate lead residue from lead ammunition. Always wash your
hands with warm soapy water after handling the Spinner
Target and before eating or drinking.
NOTE: This Dual Spinner Target is intended to be used only
with the frame and components included.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

The Caldwell Magnum Dual Spinner Target is made of Certified AR550 Through-Hardened Target Steel. This steel is
extremely durable and is designed to hold up to years of use.
In order to maximize the life of this product, follow the recommendations below:
• Lead and copper jacketed bullets are recommended. Solid copper or non-expanding bullets will accelerate wear on
the Spinner Target. (No Armor Piercing or Incendiary bullets should be used)
• The maximum IMPACT velocity of the bullet should be below 3000 feet per second.
• Maximum IMPACT energy of the bullet should be below 3100 lb-ft. (This target is NOT rated for .50BMG)
NOTE: Impact velocity and energy can either be obtained from the ammunition manufacturer or calculated using one
of the many ballistics calculators available on the internet.
• The Spinner Frame, Shaft and Fasteners are not intended to withstand direct bullet impact.
• If the surface of the Spinner Target becomes deformed, it can be turned around to provide a longer life. When
reassembling target, use high-strength thread locking adhesive and tighten bolts to 100 ft-lbs.
•
Repainting the Spinner Target after shooting is not necessary but can be done to resist corrosion. The Spinner Target
can also be painted different colors to provide maximum contrast against a crosshair or open sights.

Y INSTRUCTIONS:
Thank you for purchasing a Caldwell Magnum Dual Spinner Target. Assembly of this product is very easy and requires
only a 19mm wrench or socket for the M12 hardware or an adustable wrench may also be used. Please take a moment to
locate all of the parts shown in the photo below. See Photo 2.

Assembly Steps:
1. Snap one of the E-clips to the groove in the Shaft. (See Photo 3)
2. Slide the Targets and Bracket onto the end of the Shaft up to the E-clip as shown .(See Photo 4)
3. Snap the second E-clip to the shaft to secure the targets (See Photo 5)
4. Slide the Bushings onto the end of the shaft and secure with the Thumb Screws as shown. (Note:The holes in the
shaft and bushing must align). (See Photo 6)
5. Assemble the Frame Legs and Frame Uprights as shown. (See Photo 7)
6. Slide the Bushings on the end of the Shaft into the open end of the Frame Upright and secure using the Retaining
Pins as shown. (Note:The head of the bolts should be facing the shooter). (See Photo 8)
7. The Spinner is now fully assembled. The frame should always be oriented with the curved portion of the legs facing
the shooter as shown. (See Photo on Front Page)
NOTE: In some situations the Spinner Frame might slide or tip when shot. If this occurs, use the included Stakes to
anchor the frame to the ground. Stake holes are pre-drilled into the Frame Legs for this purpose.
