Description of button functions
Programming: for memorising the weather
station.
TRIMMER ADJUSTMENTS
Trimmer ③= adjusting the sensitivity of the
sun threshold level: 15 klux (+ sensitive) / 60
klux (- sensitive).
Trimmer ④= adjusting the sensitivity of the
wind threshold level: 5 km/h (+ sensitive) / 40
km/h (- sensitive).
INDICATOR LEDS
• transmission (TX): flashing red;
• sun alarm: flashing red, 6” on and 6” o;
• wind alarm: steady red
INSTALLATION
⚠ Installation must be carried out by qualified
and experienced personnel in compliance
with applicable regulations.
Preliminary checks
Check that the point where the weather station
is secured is in an area protected from shocks,
but still exposed to air circulation and sunlight,
depending on the model chosen. Secure it on
flat, solid surfaces using suitable equipment
(screws, anchors etc.).
Prepare suitable piping and ducts for routing
the electrical cables, ensuring protection
against mechanical damage.

ANEMOMETER PRESENT
FUNCTION
If the wind sensor does not move within 120
hours, the weather station sends a closing
signal to the awning and will repeat this every
15’ until anemometer activity is detected.

WEATHER STATION COMMANDS
The STRAUSS weather station associates
dierent priorities to the alarms:
the wind alarm has absolute priority over the
sun alarm, disabling it.
Wind alarm
When the wind speed exceeds the set threshold
value for 2", the weather station enters wind
alarm mode, and a red LED lights up and
stays on.
The weather station closes the awning, keeping
it closed for the alarm time plus an extra 15'
for safety reasons.
Sun alarm
STRAUSS KLT SW: when the threshold level is
exceeded for 2', the weather station commands
the opening of the awning.
The red LED on the panel flashes when the set
threshold is exceeded.
When the level of light drops below the
threshold for at least 15’, the weather station
commands the closing of the awning and exits
alarm mode.
If the level of light drops rapidly, in 3’, under
the value of 15 klux, the weather station
commands the closing of the awning and exits
alarm mode.
