1.1. Safety symbols
The CAM-MobileHD for long, stable work nee a maintenance. We recommen
installing it on a stable structure an connecting its power cables in a manner
which woul prevent them from being acci entally amage by the operator or
any bystan ers.
1.2. Safety tips
This evice has been esigne an manufacture with the utmost care for the safety of
its installers an users. For safety reasons, observe all the gui elines in this manual an
peripheral evices' manuals, such as the PC or IP camera
Before installing the evice, carefully rea the entire instruction manual.
Ensure safe working con itions. The user's own mo ifications of the evice will prevent
its legal use an ren er the warranty null an voi . The evice has passe through the
man atory compliance assessment an it meets basic requirements in the European New
Approach Directives. The pro uct is CE-marke .
The evice is suitable for use in the European Union.
Do not approach the evice when it is on at the istance below 30 cm.

1.3. R&TTE declaration of conformity
This evice meets requirements of the European irective on ra io equipment, telecom-
munications terminals as well as on their mutual i entification an compatibility (Directi-
ve 1999/5/CE of the European Parliament an the Council of Europe, March 1999).
The iCAM-PowerHD system is compliant with provisions relate to the safety in using
electrical evices. Observe the following gui elines:
•the power outlet must be earthe in compliance with applicable provisions,
•before transferring the evice or performing any other technical operations, i-
sconnect the power supply,
•o not use any amage or worn power supply cables, as they pose a threat to the
user's safety,
•installation works must be performe by sufficiently qualifie technicians, o not
use the evice in locations where flammable substances are kept,
•secure the evice so that chil ren or unauthorise persons shoul not gain
access to it,
•make certain that the evice has been reliably fixe ,
•the evice is off only after isconnecting its power supply cables an the cables
between it an other evices,
•if the evice is transferre to a room where the temperature is higher than where it
has previously been kept, water vapour may con ensate insi e its casing, which
will prevent its proper use. Wait until the con ense water evaporates.
1.4. Distances and interferences
•The transmission istance may vary, epen ing on the frequency, environment, ra-
io waves, buil ings, weather con itions, etc.
•When the transmitter is near such equipment as the TV set, R-LAN wireless ne-
twork, another transmitter, or when it is place between other ra io evices, then
the vi eo stream may be interrupte or the evices might even lose the connec-
tion. If this occurs, increase the istance between the interrupte evices an the
transmitter.
•The signal reception may vary, epen ing on the transmitter's working height an
angle. If the signal reception is not stable, optimise the antenna settings.
Warning
The antennas use for the transmission from this transmitter must be installe
accor ing to the instruction manual an they must be place at least 30 cm
from all persons. The transmitter is not compatible with another antenna nor
transmitter.

3. iCA - obileHD system installation
3.1. First start-up
Before first start-up, check whether the set is complete an whether the evice has not
been mechanically amage uring transport.
WARNING
Before any start-up, connect both antennas! Trying to run the machine without
connecte antennas may cause amage to the ra io mo ule.
3.2. IP camera installation (in case without IP camera)
The configure IP camera shoul be connecte to the twiste pair that protru es from
the housing of the 4G LTE ra io mo ule, an the whole cable shoul be place in the ca-
mera hol er.
Then attach the camera to the hol er on the front
cover of the evice. The entire cable coming out
of the camera must be in the camera hol er, o
not place it in the case.

In or er to exten the evice's operating time on the battery,
you can turn off the heater in the camera if it has one.
The configure IP camera shoul be connecte to the twiste
pair that protru es from the evice housing, an the whole
cable shoul be place in the camera hol er.
Then attach the camera to the hol er on the front cover of the evice. The entire cable
coming out of the camera must be in the camera hol er, o not place it in the
iCAM-Mobile housing.

3.3. Connecting the power supply
A) With 230V
When using the 230V network, the iCAM-Mobile power plug shoul
be plugge into a socket a apte to the con itions of use, i.e. an
external hermetic socket or a socket with a plug close in another
hermetic housing / box.
After turning the key in the ignition switch to the "I" position, two lights on the external
panel shoul light up (STATUS NVR, MAIN POWER).
Wait about 1 minute, then check the configuration of the recor er, wireless connection
an IP camera, an correct the settings if necessary. Detaile information can be foun
later in this manual.
To turn off the evice, turn the key in the ignition switch to the "0" position an iscon-
nect the 230V power supply.
B) With external battery or source of 12-24V
The evice can be powere from an alternative DC power source, e.g.
•external 12-24V battery,
•electric installation of car - 12V or 24V,
•other 12-24V installation.
The power source must have a minimum capacity of 40W (e.g. 3.5A/12V or 2.2A/24V).
WARNING
When iCAM-Mobile works in this configuration, the internal battery will not be
charge .
In the in icate place, connect the 12-24V DC power sup-
ply accor ing to the marke polarity (+ - car power supply
12-24V DC),
After turning the key in the ignition switch to the "I" posi-
tion, four lights on the internal panel shoul light up (STA-
TUS NVR, HDD an NVR power supply, MAIN power supply,
IP CAMERA power supply).
Wait about 1 minute, then check the configuration of the recor-
er, wireless connection an IP camera, an correct the settings
if necessary. Detaile information can be foun later in this ma-
nual.
To turn off the evice, turn the ignition key to the "0" position
an isconnect the "alternative" power supply.

C) With battery
WARNING
Carefully check the LI-ION battery, it must not have the slightest mechanical
amage. A amage battery that cannot be installe in the evice may ignite or
explo e.
The recommen e battery is: the LI-ION package capable of operating at temperatures
from -20°C to 60°C, with a capacity of 20-22Ah an nominal voltage of 14.8V (operating
voltage 12-16.8V).
The attache battery is imme iately rea y for use, it must not be forme . It is approxi-
mately 60-75% charge .
The battery is charge only with 230V power supply, the charger mo ule
a itionally charges up to 120W (max 160W together with the camera).
When the evice is not use for a longer perio of time (over 4 months), store the batte-
ry at 60 - 75% charge - storage of a battery charge at another rate may shorten its li-
fetime.
The battery shoul be place in the iCAM-Mobile cover as shown below.
When connecting the battery to the iCAM-AKU12 / 22 BATTERY, pay attention to the cor-
rect polarization irection an matching the plug to the socket.

HDD an NVR power supply, MAIN power supply, IP CAMERA power
supply).
Wait about 1 minute, then check the configuration of the recor er,
wireless connection an IP camera, an correct the settings if ne-

To turn off the evice, turn the ignition key to the "0" position.
3.4. Closing the device cover
Close the housing of the evice paying special attention to the arrangement of the cables
an the battery. Tighten all screws securely so that the housing is completely seale .
The evice is rea y for installation at its estination.
3.5. Installation at destination / monitored place
The set (iCAM-Mobile with an IP camera) shoul be mounte only to soli , stable wall
an mast structures. The installer is responsible for the correct installation of the came-
ra!
Items that shoul be mounte in the selecte place:
Bracket a apter with wall anchors - for wall mounting
Bracket a apter with steel straps - for pole mounting.
WARNING
The han le shoul be mounte vertically, the place for the
pa lock must be at the bottom. The installer is responsible for
the correct installation of the camera in accor ance with these
instructions an safety stan ar s!
In a ition, a steel safety cable must be fitte to a separate anchor
or other part of the pole. The safety cable shoul be mounte to a
soli , soli construction that will guarantee the maintenance of the
iCAM-Mobile system with the camera in case of emergency.

security cable an secure the camera with a pa lock.

3.6. Launch at destination / monitored place
When using the 230V network, the iCAM-Mobile power plug shoul be plugge into a
socket a apte to the con itions of use, i.e. an external hermetic socket or a socket with
a plug close in another hermetic housing / box.
When using an alternative power source, the power cables must be route through the
glan s that are accessible to the user,
an then connect the plug to the EDG connector (+ - 12-24V DC car power supply), pay-
ing attention to the correct polarity.
WARNING
The time it takes to start the evice at low temperatures can be exten e by
several minutes. This is cause by the heater an thermostat. The evice is
rea y when the green LED STATUS NVR lights up.
After turning the key in the ignition switch to the „I” position (in the version with remote
control you shoul a itionally press the ON button on the remote control near the evi-
ce) two light on the external panel shoul light up (STATUS NVR, AIN POWER). iCAM-
MobileHD will start recor ing vi eo an full remote access to the evice will be possible.
WARNING
After starting the evice, remove the key from the ignition, leaving it in position
"1" to prevent the system from being turne off by thir parties.

3.7. emory replacement
By efault, the iCAM-Mobile evice is elivere with a 1TB HDD isk, however it can be
easily replace with a mo el with a capacity of up to 2TB.
WARNING
The HDD must have 2 mounting holes from the bottom of the housing!
Avoi using SSDs, such rives have a limite amount of ata overwriting. iCAM-
Mobile has a heater with a thermostat, therefore it is not necessary to use isks
a apte to work in freezing temperatures.
A) HDD removal
We exchange the memory only when the evice is turne off an the ignition switch is in
the "0" position.
Start with loosening the two M3 screws, then sli e the rive ‘up’
You can now isconnect the SATA cable an unscrew the two M3 screws.

B) HDD intallation
The M3 screws shoul be pre-screwe to the isk leaving them loose, then connect the
isk to the SATA connector.
Place the isk in the iCAM-Mobile cover an tighten the screws.
After connecting a new isk, format it. The process is covere by this manual later.
3.8. Working mode of heater and thermostat
iCAM-Mobile is a apte to work also in freezing temperatures (up to -20°C) thanks to the
HDD heating system.
Controlling this system is possible through jumpers insi e the evice.

a) The basic operating mo e of the thermostat is the "winter" mo e - enable when pins
1 with 2 an 5 with 6 are combine .
In this mo e the evice can work in winter con itions, i.e. when
the temperature rops to -20°C
Description:
When iCAM-Mobile is turne on when the whole evice is coole
own to -20°C, the system will not allow to turn on the recor er
until the HDD reaches a temperature of about 9-10°C.
When powere from 230V or from an alternative 24V supply, the time nee e to start the
recor er is no more than 10 minutes.
From the moment the recor er is turne on, the system will maintain the HDD temperatu-
re not lower than +2°C
b) The secon mo e is the "summer" mo e set when pins 2 with 3 an 4 with 5 are com-
bine .
In this mo e the evice can work when it is certain that the we-
ather temperature will not fall below 0°C
Description:
Regar less of the out oor temperature, the evice will not main-
tain the minimum HDD temperature an the temperature will e-
pen on the out oor temperature.
Regar less of the temperature an metho of power supply in this mo e, the recor er
will be starte no later than after 1 minute.
Setting the evice in this mo e may exten the battery life.
c) Interme iate mo e "I" (not recommen e ) is set when pins 1 with 2 an 4 with 5 are
combine . Description:
In this mo e, the system will maintain the HDD temperature not lower than +2°C.
Regar less of the temperature an metho of power supply in this mo e, the recor er
will be starte no later than after 1 minute.
d) Interme iate mo e "II" (not recommen e ) is set when pins 2 with 3 an 5 with 6 are
combine . Description:
Regar less of the out oor temperature, the evice will not maintain the minimum HDD
temperature an the temperature will epen on the out oor temperature.
In this mo e, the system will not allow to turn on the recor er until the HDD reaches a
temperature of about 9-10oC. When the isk sleep temperature below 0oC, the system
will turn off the isk an the recor er.
Any other jumper setting is not allowed.

To restart the evice to the factory settings, log in to the ra io mo ule, then in the
ADVANCED SETTINGS > Backup / Restore menu click the Factory Default button or
hol the reset button for 5 secon s, which is available on the main panel.
The DHCP server must be enable for the wireless connection to mobile evices
to be automatically configure . (CAMERA CONNECTION SETTINGS > Network
Settings).

the Configuration > System> Restore menu click the Restore button.

5. Remote access to the iCA - obile HD system
5.1. Remote access to the system
To perform the configuration, connect the ra io mo ule to the computer wirelessly using
a 5 GHz WiFi network (802.11a or 802.11n stan ar ). The efault network name (SSID)
is "CAMSAT". The configuration of the iCAM-Receiver is escribe in section 5.5. Confi-
guration of iCAM-Receiver.
Devices working only in the 2.4 GHz ban (in 802.11b an 802.11g stan ar s)
are incompatible with iCAM-MobileHD! An iCAM-Receiver (not inclu e ) can be
use as the receiving evice.
5.2. Access to the iCA - obile HD system using the device
with Android or iOS
Connect to a Wi-Fi network using the previously configure network name an passwor
( efault SSID: CAMSAT).
If the evice i not obtain the IP a ress automatically, you must manually
enter the static unique IP a ress, efault gateway an subnet mask in
a vance options when connecting. The DHCP server must be enable for
automatic evice configuration:CAMERA CONNECTION SETTINGS > Network
Settings.
5.3. Access to the system through the wire
The evice can be connecte to the network using the RJ45 socket in the LTE mo ule ho-
using.
5.4. Emergency access to the system through the wire
If it is not possible to establish a wireless connection, connect the evice with a network
cable in the place where the camera is connecte to configure the system.
WARNING
The RJ-45 socket for IP camera has + 48V voltage in PoE+ stan ar . The power
supply is sent through free 4/5 (48V blue pair) an 7/8 (0V brown pair) wires.
To connect the system to an incompatible switch or network car , leave these
wires unconnecte in the RJ45 plug.
