(N) followedbynut(J).Donotfullytightennutuntil
instructedtodosolaterintheinstallationprocess.
b) Raisefrontofbackboardtobeperpendicularto
playingsurface.AlignUpperExtensionArmswithUpper
BackboardAttachmentsandinstallbolts(H),metal
washers(M),plasticwashers(Q),andnuts(I)asshownin

diagram.Checkrimforlevelandtightenallfournuts.
b) InstallRimPlateonbaseofrimwith(2)machine
screwsandtighten.
c) Installnetonrimbytwistingnetloops90degrees
clockwiseandinsertingthroughdesignatedrim
attachmentsandoverhooksontheundersideofrim.
8. RemoveSpacerfromSpringCartridge
Remove(1)blueplasticspacerfromspringcartridgeat

11. Maintenance
Likeanypieceofhardwarepropermaintenanceis
required.Severalfactorssuchastheenvironment,
organicmaterials,herbicides,pesticides,excessiveuse,or
misusecaneventuallycausethesystemtorequire
periodicmaintenance.Failuretodosocouldresultin
systemfailure,propertydamage,orevenpersonalinjury.
a) Keepallorganicmaterials(grassclippings,
garbage,etc.)awayfromthesteelpoleorbaseplateto
alleviateanychanceofrustpenetratingthepowder
coatedfinish.
b) Cleanthebackboardperiodicallywithwateranda
softcottoncloth.Approvedglasscleanersworkaswellto
maintaintheclearviewglassbackboard.Toproperlyclean
thesystemcomponentsuseasoft,non‐abrasiveclothand
waterwithamilddetergent.Donotuseabrasive
materialstocleanasitcoulddamagethepowder‐coated
finishonyourbasketballsystem.
c) Ifyouseeanysignsofrustonthesystemremove
theloosepaint,gentlysandthearea,andapplyoutdoor
enamelglosspainttotheaffectedarea.
12. RoutineSystemInspection
Beforeeachuseinspectthebasketballsystemforany
signsofthefollowing:

CANAM HOOPS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
CANAM HOOPS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY coverage extends only to the original retail Consumer Purchaser and
terminates if the original Consumer Purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the Product.
CANAM HOOPS (the “Product”) structural components are warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship subject to the limitations described below. “Defects” is defined as imperfections that impair the use of the
product.
CANAM HOOPS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY is subject to proper installation in accordance with the installation
instructions; normal residential use for glass backboards; normal basketball related activities, and that the Product has been
maintained in compliance with the instructions.
THIS WARRANTY IS VOID IF THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY IMPROPER SERVICE, NEGLIGENCE,
ACCIDENT, UNREASONABLE USE, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, OR OTHER CAUSES NOT RESULTING FROM
DEFECTS IN MATERIAL, MANUFACTURE OR WORKMANSHIP. SUBJECT TO PROPER INSTALLATION IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS; NORMAL RESIDENTIAL USE OF GLASS BACKBOARDS;
NORMAL BASKETBALL RELATED ACTIVITIES; AND HAS BEEN MAINTAINED IN AGREEMENT WITH THE
INSTRUCTIONS
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE FOLLOWING
Non-Residential applications for glass backboards
This warranty shall not apply to any Product which has been subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, negligence,
alteration, accident, improper installation, vandalism, or fire.
Paint, rusted parts, surface scratches, fading, dis-colouration, or cracks that do not affect the functionality of the Product.
Damage or deterioration due to time or normal wear and tear.
Damage due to “Acts of God”, include, but are not limited to; floods, tornadoes, hail, lightning, sandstorms, windstorms, or
earthquakes.
Damage due to “Environmental Factors”, include, but not limited to; airborne fallout, chemicals, ocean spray, or wind-borne
sand.
Shipping charges both ways for warranted or replacement items must be prepaid by the original retail Consumer Purchaser
in advance.
Dealer service charges, labor charges, or travel expenses. All labor costs, travel expenses, and other charges involved in
the installation, inspection, service, or replacement of the Product, or replacement of component parts shall be the
responsibility of the original retail consumer.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
Proof of purchase by the original retail Consumer Purchaser is required for all warranty claims. Canam Hoops reserves the
right to examine physical evidence or photographs of the Product or component parts claimed to be defective and to recover
said Product prior to authorizing a warranty claim.
If applicable, a “Return Merchandise Authorization” (RMA) number will be required prior to shipping damaged Product by
original retail Consumer Purchaser, with prepaid freight.
In returning a Product or component part for repair or replacement under this warranty, the original Consumer Purchaser
must prepay all shipping transportation, insurance and delivery costs. Product or component parts must be delivered in
either its original carton or a similar package affording an equal degree of protection. Canam Hoops will not be responsible
for any loss or damage incurred in connection with the return of this Product or component parts.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM
ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH REGARD TO THE
PRODUCT AND ANY RELATED WRITTEN MATERIALS AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS ON THE PART OF CANAM
HOOPS PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT IF THE DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES IS EFFECTIVE UNDER
APPLICABLE LAW, THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW SHALL BE
LIMITED TO ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE OR SUCH LONGER PERIOD AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY
APPLICABLE LAW. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES CUSTOMER SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, CUSTOMER MAY
HAVE OTHER RIGHTS DEPENDING ON THE JURISDICTION.

CANAM HOOPS HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ( INCLUDING
WITHOUT LIMITATION, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN
CONNECTION WITH, USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER CLAIM WITH
