and usesSIM/USIMcard.Itisaremotecontrolled image-capturingdeviceconsisting
ofamicrophone,infrared lightsandahighquality300,000-pixelcameralens.The
TUTA3Gcameracancaptureimagesaccordingtoapre-programmedremote
commandandthensendittoyourmultimediamessaging(MMS)enabledmobile
phone withcolordisplay,ortoanE-mail address.You cancontroland changethe
camerasettingsviaSMS command.
TheTUTA3GcameraalsosupportsWCDMAnetwork.Youcancall thecameraand
watchthevideoofmonitoringareadirectlywithyourWCDMAvideo-call supported
mobilephone. Thebuilt-inhigh-lightinfraredLEDsallowsthe cameratocaptureclear
images,even indarkenvironment. IfusersselecttheTUTA3Gcamerawithmemory
card,the imagesand video can be storedinthe camera.Whenthe userswantto
check imagesorvideo,theycan connectthecamerawithcomputerviaUSB cable.
TheTUTA3Gcamerahasamotiondetectivefunction andanintegratedinfraredbody
detector.Itwill thereforedetectanyunauthorized entryintoyourhouseandnotifyyou
viaSMS, MMS, video callsorE-mail.
All servicesand functionsneedtobesupportedbytheGSMandWCDMAnetworkand
aSIM/USIMcard.

Chapter 2Installation
2.1 Install the SIM/USIMcard
•Removetherubbercoverfromtheleft sideof the camera.
•Openthe SIM/USIMcardslotbypressingthesmall dotbesidethe cardslotwith
the tipof apencil,andpop openthe slot.
•Insert the cardintothe slot.
•Pushthe slot back intoplace.
•Put the rubbercoverback initsplace.
2.2 Extendingthe camera sbase board
•Holdthebaseofthecameraandpull thetop partand thebottompart(base)in
oppositedirections(i.e. awayfromeachother).
•Then the slot bucklewill be pullingopen.
•Theheadofthecameracannowbe moved freelyand locatedatanydirection.
2.3 Connectingto poweradapter
•ConnecttheadaptertoanACpower,andconnectthemini-USBplugtothe
powerinterfaceofthe camera.(SeeFigure1)
•Thecamerahasabuilt-inrechargeableLithiumbattery.
•Thecamerawill notifytheuserwhen thepowerchanges.Forexample,ifthe
poweradapterisdisconnectedorfailureofthe ACpoweroccurs,the camera
will notifytheuser “Externalpowercut. The deviceisoperatingonbattery.”
•Ifthecameraisagainconnectedtothe externalpower,orthe ACpoweris
availableagain,the notification will be senttothe user,i.e.”Thedeviceisnow

resumingtheuseof externalpowersource.”
•Lowbattery:Theconfiguresettingcannotbesaved whenthecamerais
operatingon lowbattery.
2.4 Mount thecamera
Thecameracanbemounted on awall (verticallywiththe screws)orputdownonany
suitablehorizontalsurface.
2.5 Choose theinstallingplace
•Inordertocapturebetterimagequality,avoidanyareaswherebrightlightwill
be irradiated directlyintothelensof thecameraon the camera.
•Inordertoavoidbacklightingphotography,itissuggested thatthe camerais
locatedattheplacewherecan lookdownthemonitoringplacewiththe
minimumangel30°.
•TheGSM/WCDMAnetworkssignalstrengthmayaffectthe image,livevoice,
video qualityand MMStransmission speed.Therefore,uponinstallation,the
usershouldensurethatthecameraislocatedinanareawithastrongnetwork
signal.
•Afterinstallation,the usershouldperformatest-run bytakingseveralimages
and sendingittothe user smobilephone.Thisallowsthe usertocheck the
imagequalityofthe camera.The positionofthe cameracan then be adjusted
until asatisfactoryimagequalitylevelisreached.
2.6 PowerON/OFF
Poweron:

3.1 UserAuthorization level
•Therearetwolevels,eachwithadifferentpasswordand authorization level,
namely Administrator and Operators.Bothsauthorityisrealized by
password.
•Defaultpasswordfor operators is1234,for administrator is5678.
•Furthermore,thecameracan presetone alarmnumber toreceivealarm.Every
timethe camerasendsalarm,thealarmnumberwill receive.

4.6 Listeninthemonitoring area
4.6.1 Call the camera andlistenin
ÌMethod
Theusercallsthe camerawithanymobilephoneafterwhichitwill beep for
inputtingpassword.Iftheinputpasswordisverified correctly,userscanlistento
the on-spotmonitoringarea.
•Ifyou don tinputthe4-digitpasswordwithin30 seconds,camerawillring
off automatically.
•If theinputpasswordiswrong, the camerawillremindtoinput again.
•Ifyou input5timesincorrectpassword,you havetoringoffandredialthe
cameraafter3minutes.Ifthe cameraisdialed within3minutes,itwill
shownot availableand ringoff.
4.6.2 Listening inupon automaticallyalarm
&Description
•When thecameraisinarmed statusand iftheuserpresettheauto-alarmway
ascallingthe user(Refertochapter5.1.8Call notification uponalarmformore
details)acall will automaticallygothroughtothepresetalarm numberwhen the
cameraalarms.Theusercancommunicatewiththemonitoring area by

answeringthe call.
•Ifthe alarmnumber userdoesnotanswerthe call,the camerawill redialthe
fortwotimes.
4.7 Infraredbodydetector
&Description
When thecameraisworkingunderarmingmode,ifsomeoneapproachestothe
detectingarea,thebuilt-ininfraredbodydetectorwill triggerthe cameraalarmas
preset ways.
ÌMethod
TheusersendsfollowingSMS messageinorderto:
Activateinfraredbodydetector (default):PSWD ir alarm on (13)
Deactivateinfraredbodydetector:PSWD ir alarmoff (14)
•The PSWD shouldbefourdigit numberspassword.
•Forexample:1234 ir alarmoff

When thecameraisoperatingonlowbattery, it ll sendSMSmessagetonotify “low
voltage”.Theinfraredbodydetectorwill be deactivatedandtheconfiguresetting
can notbe saved.
4.8 Motion detection
&Description
•Themotiondetectionfeatureisbasedonimageframecomparetechnology.
Thefirmwarewillcomparefrontandafterimageswhichcapturefromcamera
and thereforedetectmotion.
•Themotiondetection featureonlyfunctionswhen the cameraisarmedand
motiondetection isactivated.
%Note
•If the camerafacesan objectthatmovesconstantly,suchasatreeshakingin
the wind,it will send alarmmessageconstantly.Recommend tousethe camera
inastill place.
•Lowbattery:Themotiondetection function willbe deactivated andtheconfigure
settingcannot besaved when the cameraisoperatinginlowbattery.
