I Overview of MPIP-610A
1.1 Brief Introduction to MPIP-610A
Targeting at special markets, MPIP-610A excludes external connection and
appears very tiny. It can be installed on any moving objects. Except general
structure, this project is also designed to include a ferromagnetic structure
which is equipped with an alarm for prevention of falling off. Built-in super
lithium battery guarantees normal operation for above 3 years. This project can
operates in a temperature of -20℃-70℃. It supports GPS positioning and base
station positioning. This project covers GSM and GPRS bands in terms of
communication modes. This project is also applicable to various mobile
markets.

2.1 This device is easy for installation and excludes external connection.
2.2 this device is equipped with a built-in disposable high-capacity super
lithium battery which enjoys lower discharge rate and strong temperature
adaptability. Ordinary lithium battery can only operate in a temperature of 0℃
-50℃.
2.3 This device is characterized by ultra-long operation time. Sending a piece
of information every 24 hours, it can sustain the normal operation for more
than 1000 days. It is unnecessary to change the battery frequently.
2.4 This project excels with an ultra-low power consumption. It operates in a
current of below 0.03mA in hibernating status, which guarantees the long time
operation.
2.5 As the tiniest among devices with same specifications, it is easy to be
installed.
2.6 This device has a ferromagnetic permanent magnet at its bottom, which
makes it easier to install the device by attaching it to a metal surface.
2.7 MPIP-610A has an alarm for prevention of falling off.
2.8 This device supports multiple positioning modes which include GPS
positioning and base station positioning.

IV Functions of MPIP-610A

4.1 Default factory settings:
This device uploads position information every 24 hours. The position
information includes positioning status, longitude and latitude, GSM signal
intensity, the number of GPS satellites, and voltage of the battery etc.
Uploading interval can be reset by users.
4.2 Base station positioning:
The device is defaulted to use GPS. In case of failing to locate the device in a
dead zone, it will automatically switch to base station positioning which could
offer inaccurate positioning information for reference.
4.3Alarm of low battery voltage:
The device inspects voltage of the built-in battery for real time and uploads the
information to a server. When the voltage appears lower than 20%, the device
will sound the low voltage alarm which indicates the battery is running low.
Users must replace the built-in battery.
4.4 Intelligent tracking:
When finding vehicles stolen or encountering other emergencies, users can
track their cars for real time by sending a text order or requesting the platform
to send an order. After receiving the order, this device will start tracking in the
next operation. Users can set the information uploading interval
4.5 Modification of wakeup time:
Users can modify wakeup time of the device so as to operate the device at
appropriate time and guarantee accurate positioning and normal connection
with the server. The function can be activated by pressing the anti-disassembly
button for 5 seconds.
4.6 ferromagnetic function:
With a ferromagnetic permanent magnet, MPIP-610A can be firmly attached to
a metal surface for convenient and secret installation.
4.7 Alarm for prevention of falling off
In case of falling off or being uninstalled, the device will send message to the
platform or bound cellphone to remind its user of checking its installation.

V Installation of MPIP-610A
5.1 Installation and Commissioning Process
5.1.1 Insertion of SIM card:
Open the cover and insert a SIM card to corresponding slot. Make sure the SIM card
is well fitted into the slot. Open the GPRS service of the SIM card and note down
number of the SIM card.
5.1.2 install the battery on the motherboard after inserting the SIM card to the host.
Flashing of the red light indicates operation of the host.

VI Common Problems
6.1 The device doesn’t work
Users should first check whether battery capacity and GPRS service are normal and
then check whether settings of the device are appropriate. If finding no problems after
an overall check, users should reset the device (sending FACTORY# to the device).
6.2 Users can check information about the device by sending PARAM# to the SIM
card of the device.

6.3 The cellphone can’t receive the alarm message
Users should check whether the SIM card of the device still has balance or whether
the SIM card open the text message service.
