Electric Griddle -Instruction Manual
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the CK8818 Cater-Cook Electric Chrome Griddle.
Please read the following instruction manual clearly before use, and refer back to it
for both cleaning and safety instructions.
In the event of any damage to the griddle, it must be turned off immediately
and disconnected from the electricity supply by removing the attached plug
or manually tripping the circuit breaker.
Damage and Maintenance.
1) Ensure power is not being supplied to the griddle while repair work is being
car-ried out.
2) Repairs should only be performed by qualified electricians to ensure safety.
Repairs and other work carried out by unqualified persons could be dangerous,
under no circumstances should the outer casing of the griddle be opened.
3) While the griddle is under warranty, repairs should only be performed by an au-
thorized service technician. Otherwise, the warranty will be deemed void.

Cleaning

Usage.
1) To turn on the griddle, turn the power control knob clockwise, and counter clock-
wise to turn it off.
2) The operating indicator light to the left of the control knob will illuminate when
the appliance is switched on.
3) After use, turn the griddle off by fully turning the power control knob counter
clockwise.
4) Once cool, clean the hot plate with a dry cloth.
Cleaning.
Clean stainless steel surfaces with a wet cloth, and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Soak baked on or hardened spills first to loosen them.
Stainless steel surfaces can be cleaned using a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner.
TTo help prevent tarnishing or staining, a conditioner can be applied. Apply sparing-
ly with even pressure.

Troubleshooting

All repairs should be performed by a trained electrician in strict accordance with
national and local guidelines. Any repairs or mainenance performed by unquali-
fied personnel could be dangerous.
Problem Reason
The hot plate does not
heat up when turned
on
The green indicator
light is not lit when the
device is powered on.
The yellow indicator
light is always lit, you
are unable to control
the temperature.
The yellow indicator
light is not on, but the
temperature can be
controlled normally.
1) Overheating protection is
activated.
2) The electrical circuit has
blown a fuse or tripped the
circuit breaker.
1) The power fuse is burned
out.

If power cannot be re-
stored, it may be neces-

CAUTION: In order to prevent damage due to a power surge, turn the
griddle off in the event of adverse weather conditions. Such as thunder
and lightning.
Operating Instructions

Safety Instructions.
If there is any abnormal appearance while using the griddle, turn off the power im-
mediately. Do not use until it is deemed safe to do so.
Powering on.
1) Turn on the power source and the green power indicator should come on. Select
the desired power level and proceed to cook.
2) According to your temperature requirements, it can be adjusted from 50°C to
300°C.
Installation.
1) Place the griddle on a level surface and ensure a clearance of at least 10cm from
both the right and let side, and at least 20cm from the rear.
2) The working voltage MUST match that noted on the specification plate.
33) Install the correct power source; fuse plug, and grounding protection to the grid-
dle. Do not put anything infront of the power switch in case of emergency access.
4) The power connection is under the griddle at the rear, and connects to ground
for safety reasons.
5) The ground wire (yellow & green) and live wire are in the same wiring harness.
Connect the ground wire via suitable copper bolt if the power point doesn’t have
one.
