CONNECT THE CAMERA TO MOBILE DEVICE
App Downloading and Installation
Search for Smart Life from App StoreTM /Google PlayTM , or scan the
QR Codes below to download and install the App into your mobile
device.

Google PlayTM is a trademark of google Inc, and App StoreTM is a
trademark of Apple Inc.

Account Registration and Login
Please register an account with a valid email address, then log in.
Connect the Camera to Smart Life Account
IMPORTANT:
1. This camera only supports a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
2. For a stable network connection, Please make sure the camera
and the mobile device are close to the router.
3. Avoid using special characters or symbols in your Wi-Fi name
and password, such as @@%$^$&&# and so on.
4. For all connection options, you will hear the voice prompts
after the camera is power on. Press and hold Reset button
slightly for 5~6 second to reset the camera if no voice prompts
was heard. You will hear a prompt on a successful reset.
Connect The Camera by Scanning QR Code
1. You will hear a prompt after plugging the camera to power
supply.
2. Now on your phone, Please turn on the location service and Wi-
Fi. Allow Smart Life App to access your location and use Wi-Fi.
3. Open the Smart Life app and login. Now click add device.
4. Now go to “Security & Video Surveillance” tab and select “Smart
Camera (Wi-Fi)”.
5. Check the check-box and press next.
6. Enter the Wi-Fi credentials and press next.
7. Now show this QR code to camera ‘s lens , your camera will give a
voice prompt on successful scanning. Press “I Heard a Prompt”.
8. Now let the device search camera in network. On successful
connection it will take you to device name changing page. Change
the name of camera and pres “Done” in top right corner.
9. Congratulation you have successfully connected your camera to
your mobile.

2. Connect the camera by AP Hotspot
1. Power on the camera, wait until you hear “ beep Sounds”.
2. Now lightly press reset button , you will hear a “clink Sound”.
3. It will take your camera into AP mode.
4. Now on your mobile open Smart Life App and press “add device”.
5. Now go to “Security & Video Surveillance” tab and select “Smart
Camera (Wi-Fi)”.
6. Now press “QR Mode” in top right corner and select “Wi-Fi
Mode”.
7. Now press “Next ” and select “Blink Slowly”.
8. Now enter the Wi-Fi credentials and press Next.
9. Now press “Go to Connect” it will take you to the settings page of
Wi-Fi. Select either “SmartLife-XXXX” or “SL-XXXX” SSID and go
back to Smart Life App.
10. Now let the device search camera in network. On successful
connection it will take you to device name changing page. Change
the name of camera and pres “Done” in top right corner.
11. Congratulation you have successfully connected your camera to

3. Connect the camera by EZ Mode.
1. Power on the camera, wait until you hear “ beep Sounds”.

Note:
1. Please make sure your mobile and camera are close to the
router.
2. Please make sure you are connecting only one camera at a time
with this mode.

Function Overview
1. Main Interface : (as shown in image left)
A. Setting: to open the camera settings
B. Preview mode (HD/SD): toggle the image quality between HD
and SD
C. Speaker mute: to mute the camera speaker
D. Zoom the screen: it will zoom in the live image
E. Landscape mode
F. Screenshot: capture a picture to the local album in App
G. Talk mode: press and hold to talk to people in front of the
camera
H. Record the video on your phone – press again to stop recording

Video Recording:-
Two recording options are available for the camera recording video
to a microSD card and the cloud (subscription based).
Note:
•The camera accepts a card with capacity up to 128G, please
select a high-quality microSD card with a reliable brand for it.
•The camera loops to record videos, which means the latest videos
will overwrite the oldest ones when the storage reached full
capacity.
1. Record videos to a microSD card
Inset a microSD card(not included), then power on the
camera.
Go to Setting>Device storage to check if your microSD
card is available.

1. Select a recording mode. After inserting micro SD card go to
settings>recording settings, choose recording mode i.e. either
event recording or non-stop recording. You can also schedule the
recording however you desire.

2. Record videos to the cloud
The videos will be recorded to the cloud once you’ve subscribed to a
cloud plan. Please refer to page22 for instructions on cloud
subscription
TIP* Recording videos to the cloud’s is recommended since it’s safe
to save videos on the encrypted cloud and no worries about any
data loss.

A. Calendar
Tap to show a calendar, then select an exact time to check the video
recorded.
B. Timeline:
Slide leftward or rightward on the timeline to play the video
recorded. 12

Video Playback
•For playing video from Micro SD card - Go to Features>Playback
for playing recorded videos from a memory card.
•For playing video from cloud - Go to cloud, click view
recorded/motion detected thumbnail for playing recorded video
from cloud.
For playing video from Micro SD card

Clip Only available for playing videos from cloud. Tap to cut the video
and save it to the cloud album or delete.
PTZ Function
1. PAN&TILT&ZOOM Function
Slide to change the direction of lens of the camera.
Spread/pinch or double tap on the live video to zoom in/out the
live image.
Alarm & Notification
1. Alarm Setting
I. Go to settings page.
II. Open Detection Alarm Settings.
III. Toggle the Motion Detection Alarm Switch.
IV. You can change Alarm Sensitivity Level from the drop down
list provided.

II. Toggle the offline notification switch.
Note: Also allow “Smart Life App” for sending notifications.

Intelligent Motion Tracking
I. Go to settings page.
II. Open Detection Alarm Settings.
III. Toggle the Motion Tracking Switch.

Device Sharing
IMPORTANT:
Please make sure your family members have registered a Smart Life
account before sharing.
You can share the camera with as many account as possible.
However, we recommended 3 accounts at most for a better
experience.
Step 1:
Tap on the main interface or go to settings>share device>add
sharing
Step 2:
Choose Share with the account smart life or share with others.
If you choose share with the account smart life , enter the account
of the receiver.
If you choose share with other, It will create a link which can be
opened on the receiver’s device,.

Cloud Service
1. Subscribe to a cloud plan
Tap on the main interface or go to settings > purchase VAS to
subscribe to a cloud service package. However, if you’ve got an
activation code, you can also tap redeem code and enter the code to
activate the cloud plan.
After the cloud plan is activated, it will be bound to this camera by
default.

Q1. Why did I fail to connect the camera to my account?
* The camera only supports 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and make sure you’ve
. selected the correct one. If you use a dual band router, please .
. contact the router seller or us for more help.
if the connection failed, please use the Reset button to reset .
. the camera, then connect the camera again.
Q2. Why can’t the camera read my microSD card?
* The camera doesn’t support hot plugging. Please insert a .
. microSD card before powering on the camera, or reboot the
. camera after inserting the card.
*Please use a high-quality microSD card with a reliable brand.
*Please make sure the microSD card is not damaged.
Q3. Why can’t play the recorded videos from my microSD card?
*Make sure you’ve inserted a microSD card into the camera.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Q4. How to update firmware?
*Go to setting > Device upgrade > update firmware.
*It will update the firmware of the camera.
