4. Please position the sledge in gliding direction left
5. Mounting the skid xtures (b) on the upper side of skids
The skid xtures (b) are suitable for all common skids of wooden sledges. Please mount the skid xtures so that the
wheels are vertical. Depending on the inclination of the upper skid side choose the adequate inclination of the skid
xture. If needed change the direction of rigid hub. Place one skid xture each (image of axle outside) on the required
position 1,5 cm behind the rear trestle and 7,5 cm in front of the front trestle and mark both holes on the upper side of
the skid. Drill two holes 2,0 cm deep with a 3 mm diameter for each skid xture. Please do not change the position of
the skid xtures anymore. Fasten the skid xtures using the larger screws.
6. Mounting the u-shaped xtures (a) under the seat
Two direct holes (3 mm diameter) per xture need to be drilled through the second rung of the seat. The distance of
the xture to the next trestle should be 3,5 cm. The xture is predrilled. Push the xture on the rung from above to
make marks with the small screws.
Countersink holes on the upper side of the seat with a countersink or a 8 mm drill to prevent screws sticking out. Now
fasten the xtures using the smaller screws. Important: Please use a screwdriver and turn both screws three to four
times before you use a cordless screwdriver to avoid any injuries by rotating the xtures.
7. Use
The wheels can now be pushed into the skid xture or the seat xture. The axles always remain at the wheels.
To lock the wheel please press the metal spring in the hub and put the axle into the hub. Let the spring go and pull the
wheel slightly out. The clunk shows you that the wheel is well connected to the sledge. Do the same for connecting
the wheels with the sledge under the seat. To unlock please press the spring in the hub and pull the wheel out of the
hub.
8. Assembly
The assembly on the skid is independent of model and size, mounting under the seat should be adapted for smaller
carriage to space conditions.
Important information
A sledge with Roll Rodel kit is a Roll Rodel. The use of the Roll Rodel is strictly limited to parents or an adult over 18
years, authorized by the parents to pull their kids in seating on the Roll-Rodel by using the wheels on the skids or
under the seat. The Roll-Rodel may not be used by children without their parents or an adult authorized by the parents
of the child or children. The Roll Rodel must absolutely not be used to roll down a slope, way, road or equivalent. The
manufacturer excludes such use as grossly negligent and refuses liability for abuse. The load on the Roll Rodel is
limited to 80 Kg. The assembly by the purchaser and the use of Roll Rodel is at the own risk of the owner and/or user.
• Please avoid to pull the sledge tfully, because the child might fall down the sledge.
• The speed in curves must be so low that the child may not fall down the sledge.
• Please use the Roll Rodel uniquely on at paths.
• The backrest must be installed so that the center of gravity is located in front of the rear wheels.
• Do no use the Roll Rodel on public roads.
