CONTENTS

CAUTION
The 7N93 switch is not an alarm system.
Its use principally concerns the electronical Technical Aids
control (Communication aids, environmental control, computer
access,…)
Do not connect any equipment which is more than 24 V and 0.25 Amps
Considering the supplied elastic webbing containing rubber,
Please verify that it do not provide you some allergy on your skin.
This equipment is supplied with a battery. Please read the note concerning the batteries.
It is advised to remove the battery before transportation
Or if you do not use it during a long time.
Please do not walk on the sensor.
Do not bend the sensor, which would harm the good working of the switch.

1. INTRODUCTION
The switch 7N93 is a <polyvalent one, mounted with a captor with little dimensions ;
these little dimensions allow it to put it easily on the body.
It is delivered with a Velcro headband which facilitates the installation on the
forehead or on the arm for exemple.
There are two possible adjustments :
- sensibility,
- the time between two actions.
The switch 7N93 detects the muscular contractions, but weak changes of temperature
too.
2. COMPONENTS
- A control box with a label showing the serial number, and with different
switches with two possible adjustments.
- A captor which looks like a flat circle with a diameter of 1,5 cm for which
the two faces are recover with Velcro. It is connected to a cable about 1 m
long.
- A contactor cable which allow to connect the control box to an electronical
equipment.
- A strap which can be used as a headband, bracelet, etc. to settle the captor.

Caution : do not exceed 24 Volts and 0.25 Amps
For the connection of an equipment to the muscular switch
- Connect the captor (the cable with its circle) on the captor plug marked
- Place the captor on the skin (for exemple on the forehead with the headband supplied).
- Caution ! The choice of the captor place is very important : the movement has to be
controlled and has to be regular, without any interference. The captor can be fixed
either with the supplied strap, or with the adhesive medical ribbon. Verify that the
captor is not too squeezed on the skin and that the captor wire does not move, can not
be easily drawn, which could open a contact.
- Place the interruptor on position.
- Adjust the sensibility as well as the captor react only to a voluntary movement (the
switch makes a noise).
- Then, you can do a test in placing, for exemple, the captor at the extremity of a finger
with an medical adhesive rubbon, then in pressing on any surface with the finger. This
manipulation convert the muscular switch in sensitive switch and gets it in permanent
contact with the skin without any risk to lose this contact.
- As well as the test finished, it is possible to connect the muscular switch on a equipment
to be controlled with the supplied cable.
