This tool has many features to make use more pleasant and enjoyable. Safety, performance and
dependability have been given top priority in the design of this product to make it easy to
maintain and operate.

Sa ety Symbols
The purpose of safety symbols is to attract your attention to possible dangers.
The safety symbols and the explanations that go with them deserve your careful attention and
understanding. The symbol warnings by themselves do not eliminate any danger. The
instructions and warnings they give are no substitute for proper accident prevention measures.
WARNING: Be sure to read and understand all safety instructions in this manual, including all
safety alert symbols such as DANGER , WARNING and CAUTION before using this tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
personal injury.
Symbol Signal Meaning
DANGER: Indicates a hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious
injury.
WARNING: Indicates a hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious
injury.
CAUTION: Indicates a hazardous situation, which, if not avoided, may result in minor or
moderate injury.
Damage Prevention & In ormation Messages
These inform the user of important information and/or instructions that could lead to equipment
or other property damage if they are not followed. Each message is preceded by the word
NOTICE , as in the example below:
NOTICE: Equipment and/or property damage may result if these instructions are not followed.
WARNING: To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified
Kogan.com service technician. Contact the Kogan.com customer support team for further
information.
WARNING: The operation of any power tools can result in foreign objects being
thrown into your eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Before
beginning power tool operation, always wear safety goggles or safety glasses
with side shield or a full face shield when needed. We recommend a Wide
Vision Safety Mask for use over eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with side
shields. Always use eye protection which is marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1

Sa ety Instructions
General Sa ety
WARNING: When using electric appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
Avoid dangerous environments – don't use appliances in damp or wet locations.
Don't use in rain.
Use the correct appliance – do not use unit for any job except for that for which it is intended.
Don't overreach – keep proper footing and balance at all times.
Start alert – watch what you are doing. Use common sense. Do not operate the appliance when
you are tired.

Store idle appliances indoors – when not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in a dry,
secure position, out of reach of children.
No part o this unit is water resistant – do not charge the battery or use the appliance in rain.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to operate this tool until you have read all instructions, safety rules
and warnings thoroughly. Failure to comply may result in fire, electric shock or serious personal
injury. Keep a copy of the manual hand for future reference.
Remove or disconnect the battery before servicing, cleaning or removing material from the
gardening appliances.
Do not dispose o batteries in a ire. Batteries may explode. Check with your local authorities
regarding the correct disposal of batteries.
Do not open or mutilate batteries. Released battery acids are corrosive and may cause damage
to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic when swallowed.
Exercise care when handling batteries to avoid shorting the batteries with conducting materials
such as keys, rings or bracelets. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
WARNING: Read all sa ety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
Save all warnings and instructions or uture re erence.
Power tools plugs must match the outlet. Never modi y the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets
will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with grounded sur aces, such a pipes, radiators, ranges and re rigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.
Do not expose tools to rain or wet environments. Water entering a tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord or carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.
Keep the cord away rom heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords
increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable or outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
I operating the power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a ground ault circuit
interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Use of a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Battery Tool Use and Care
Recharge only with the charger speci ied by Kogan.com. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk when used with another battery pack.
Use power tools only with their speci ically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery
packs may create a risk of injury or fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away rom other metal objects, such as paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or any other small metal objects that can make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected rom the battery; avoid contact. I contact
accidentally occurs, lush with water. I liquid contacts eyes, seek urgent medical help while
lushing the eyes with water. Liquid may cause irritation or burns.
Servicing
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified tool repair person using identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Follow instructions given in the Maintenance section o this manual. Use of unauthorized parts
or failure to follow maintenance instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
Speci ic Rules or this Work Light
Indoor use only. Do not expose to rain or water.
Do not cover the lens while operating the light. The lens can reach high temperatures during
use; this may cause the light to overheat.
Never aim the light directly at the eyes o a person or animal.
Remove the battery pack rom the light be ore carrying out adjustments, cleaning or
maintenance.
The light cannot be mounted on lammable sur aces.
Ensure your light is ixed to a stand or is securely on level grounding.
Never allow children or people un amiliar with these instructions and warnings to use the unit.

Operation
Battery Pack
•Plug the charger into an electrical outlet. Turn on the power and
the green LED will illuminate.
•Push the battery pack onto the charger. The green LED and the
red LED will both light up, indicating that the battery is charging.
•When the charging period is completed (after approx. 1 hour), the
green LED will go out, and the red LED will stay lit.
Important Charging Notes
•The charger is designed to fast charge the battery only when the battery temperature is between
0°C and 45°C. If the battery pack is too hot or too cold, the charger will not fast charge the
battery. (This may happen if the battery is hot from heavy use). When the battery temperature
returns to between 0°C and 45°C, the charger will automatically begin charging.
•A substantial drop in the operating time per charge may mean that the battery pack is nearing the
end of its life and should be replaced.
•Remember to unplug the charger if you are putting the item into long-term storage.
•If the battery does not charge properly:
◦Check that the power outlet is working by plugging another electrical device into it.
◦Check the battery pack terminals for dirt. If dirty, clean with a cotton swab and alcohol if
necessary.
◦If you still do not get proper charging, contact the Kogan.com customer support team for
further information.
Switching light ON/OFF
•Push the switch button (1) to turn the light on.
•Press the button again to turn the light off.

Maintenance
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various
different types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt,
dust, oil, grease etc.
WARNING: Do not let any brake fluids, fuel, oils etc.. to come into contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: When servicing, only identical CERTA replacement parts should be used. Use of any other parts
may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety and reliability, all repairs should only be
performed by a qualified CERTA technician. Please contact the Kogan.com customer support team for
more information.

Batteries
The battery pack is equipped with Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries. The duration of use from each
charge will depend on the type of work being performed.
The batteries in this tool have been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life. Like all batteries, they
will eventually wear out. Do not disassemble the battery pack or attempt to replace the battery cells inside.
Handling of the battery cells, especially while wearing rings or jewellry, can result in serious burns.
To obtain the longest possible battery life, it is best practice to remove the Lithium-Ion battery from the
tool when not in use.
If storing the batteries for longer than 30 days without use:
•Store the Lithium-Ion battery packs where the temperature is below 26°C and free of moisture.
•Store the Lithium-Ion battery packs in a 30%~50% charged condition.
•Every six months of storage, fully charge the Lithium-Ion battery packs.
•The battery exteriors can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of batteries properly. This product contains
Lithium-Ion batteries. Local, state and Federal laws may prohibit the disposal of Lithium-Ion batteries with
regular household trash. Consult your local waste authority for information regarding the available
recycling and/or disposal options.
WARNING: Upon removal of the battery pack for disposal or recycling, cover the battery pack's terminals
with heavy-duty adhesive tape. Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble the battery pack or remove any
of it's components. Lithium-Ion batteries must be disposed of properly. Never touch the terminals with
metal objects and/or body parts as a short circuit may occur. Keep batteries away from children.
