Wirefree Remote Control
Installation and Operating Instructions
These instructions should be read in conjunction with your System
Installation and Operating Manual and be retained for future reference
A LED indicator E Panic Switch
B Arm F Key Chain Ring
C PartialArm G Negative Polarity
D Disarm H Positive Polarity
The Remote Control is used to Arm, Part-Arm and Disarm the system. It is
compatible with a control panels operating at 868MHz.
The Remote Control also incorporates a Panic switch. Activating the Panic switch
will immediately initiate a Full Alarm condition whether the system is Armed or
Disarmed, (unless the system is in Test mode).
The Remote Control requires a CR2032 type Lithium cell which under normal
conditions will have typical life expectancy of 1 year. Under normal battery
conditions the LED on the Remote control will only illuminate when a button is
pressed. However, under low battery conditions the Orange LED will illuminate
every time the button is pressed. When this occurs the batteries should be
replaced as soon as possible.
SETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Remove the rear cover with a coin.
2. Insert the battery ensuring that the +v
terminal faces upwards away from the PCB.
3. Replace the rear cover.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The remote fob supplied in the kit HAS already been
learnt to the Gateway Hub and does not require learning to the ASFK1 Gateway
Hub. For replacement or additional remote fobs these will need to be learnt to the
Gateway Hub before use.
LEARNING ASFFOB
Please refer to Smart Force Quick Set Up Guide. The easiest way to learn the
device is either via through the Smart Force Web Site or Smart Force App once you
have completed the System Registration.
Pressing the Disarm button will emit the ID code to the Gateway Hub instantly,
subject to the Gateway Hub being set to learning mode.
Note: If no ID code is stored in the remote fob after power-on, the remote control
will automatically enter Learning mode. The learning process lasts for 30 seconds.
Press any button will initiate learning mode again until the code learning is done.
To link the remote fob to the gateway Hub, proceed with the following steps in
sequence:
1. Put the Gateway Hub in to learn mode via the Smart Force Web User Interface
or Smart Force App. Then select add a device.
2. Press and hold the Disarm button for more than 3 seconds until the green LED
of the Remote Control flashes. It implies that the Remote Control enters ID code
learning mode.
3. A 30-second countdown will start. If the ID code has been learned within 30
seconds by the Gateway Hub successfully, the LED of the Remote Control will
be on shortly. If failure, the LED of the Remote Control will flash three times
rapidly.
