Safety Notes
• DO NOT open this product. It contains no user-serviceable parts.
• To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the
product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.
• Mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 in (50 cm) from adjacent surfaces.
• DO NOT leave any flammable material within 50 cm of this product while operating or connected to power.
• CAUTION: When transferring product from extreme temperature environments, (e.g., cold truck to warm humid
ballroom) condensation may form on the internal electronics of the product. To avoid causing a failure, allow
product to fully acclimate to the surrounding environment before connecting it to power.
• USE a safety cable when mounting this product overhead.
• DO NOT operate this product outdoors or in any location where dust, excessive heat, water, or humidity may affect

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that can work with an input voltage range of 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

The Ovation GR-1 Adapter comes with a Neutrik® powerCON® power linking cable. If another type of plug is needed,

QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
DMX Linking
The Ovation GR-1 Adapter will work with a DMX controller using a 5-pin DMX serial connection. A DMX Primer is
available from www.chauvetprofessional.com.
Master/Slave Connection
The Ovation GR-1 Adapter uses the DMX data connection for its master/slave mode. The Master/Slave mode allows an
Ovation GR-1 Adapter (the master) to control one or more Ovation GR-1 Adapter products (the slaves) without a DMX
controller. One Ovation GR-1 Adapter becomes the master when running
Gobo Rotator mode. You must configure each
slave’s control panel to operate in Slave mode. During Master/Slave operation, the slaves will operate in unison with the
master.
RDM (Remote Device Management)
Remote Device Management, or RDM, is a standard for allowing DMX-enabled devices to communicate bi-directionally
along existing DMX cabling. Check the DMX controller’s User Manual or with the manufacturer as not all DMX controllers
have this capability. The Ovation GR-1 Adapter supports RDM protocol that allows feedback to make changes to menu
map options.
Mounting
Before mounting this product, read the Safety Notes. Use at least one mounting point per product.

Enlace DMX
El Ovation GR-1 Adapter funcionará con un controlador DMX usando una conexión serie DMX normal. Hay un manual

Conexión Maestro/Esclavo
El Ovation GR-1 Adapter usa la conexión de datos DMX para su modo maestro/esclavo. El modo Maestro/Esclavo
permite que un Ovation GR-1 Adapter (el maestro), controle uno o más productos Ovation GR-1 Adapter (los esclavos)
sin un controlador DMX. El Ovation GR-1 Adapter se convierte en maestro cuando funciona en modo Rotador de gobo.
Es preciso configurar cada panel de control del esclavo para que funcione en modo Esclavo. Durante el funcionamiento
Maestro/Esclavo, los esclavos funcionarán al unísono con el maestro.

Remote Device Management (gestión remota del dispositivo) o RDM, es un estándar que permite a los dispositivos con

Raccordement DMX
Le Ovation GR-1 Adapter fonctionnera avec un jeu d'orgues DMX au moyen de connexions DMX en série standard. Une
introduction au DMX est à votre disposition sur www.chauvetprofessional.com.
Connexion Maître/ Esclave
L'Ovation GR-1 Adapter utilise une connexion de données DMX pour son mode maître/esclave. Le mode maître/esclave
permet à un Ovation GR-1 Adapter (le maître) de contrôler un ou plusieurs appareils Ovation GR-1 Adapter (les
esclaves) sans contrôleur DMX. Un Ovation GR-1 Adapter devient le maître lors de l'exécution du mode Gobo Rotator.
Vous devez configurer le panneau de commande de chaque esclave pour qu'il puisse fonctionner en mode Esclave.
Pendant le fonctionnement maître/esclave, les esclaves fonctionnent à l'unisson avec le maître.
RDM (Gestion des périphériques à distance)
Le protocole RDM (gestion des périphériques à distance) est un standard pour la communication bidirectionnelle des
appareils dotés de fonctions DMX dans un câblage DMX existant. Le Ovation GR-1 Adapter supporte le protocole RDM
permettant un retour d'information pour la surveillance et des changements des options de menu. Veuillez télécharger le

Sicherheitshinweise
• Dieses Gerät NICHT öffnen. Die eingebauten Komponenten sind für den Kunden wartungsfrei.
• Um unnötigen Verschleiß zu vermeiden und die Lebensdauer des Geräts zu verlängern, trennen Sie während
längerer Perioden des Nichtgebrauchs das Gerät vom Stromnetz – entweder per Trennschalter oder durch
Herausziehen des Steckers aus der Steckdose.
• Installieren Sie das Gerät an einem Ort mit ausreichender Belüftung und mit einem Abstand von mindestens 50
cm zu den angrenzenden Flächen.
• Belassen Sie KEINE entflammbaren Materialien in einem Umkreis von 50 cm dieses Geräts, während es in
Betrieb oder an der Stromversorgung angeschlossen ist.
• VORSICHT: Beim Transport des Geräts von einer Umgebung mit außergewöhnlichen Temperaturen in eine
andere solche Umgebung (z. B. aus einem kalten Transporter in einen warm-feuchten Ballsaal) kann an der im
Gerät enthaltenen Elektronik Wasser kondensieren. Um einen Defekt zu vermeiden, muss sich das Gerät erst in

Wechselstrom
Dieses Gerät verfügt über ein Vorschaltgerät, das automatisch die anliegende Spannung erkennt, sobald der
Netzstecker in die Schukosteckdose gesteckt wird, und kann mit einer Eingangsspannung von 100~240 V AC, 50/60 Hz
arbeiten.
Kabel
Der Ovation GR-1 Adapter verfügen über ein Neutrik® powerCON® Kabel für die Serienschaltung. Wird eine andere Art

DMX-Verbindung
De Ovation GR-1 Adapter kann mit einem DMX-Controller betrieben werden, wenn eine 5-polige DMX-Datenverbindung

Master/Slave-Schaltung
Der Ovation GR-1 Adapter verwendet für seinen Master/Slave-Modus eine DMX-Datenverbindung. Im Master/Slave-
Modus lassen sich mit einem einzigen Ovation GR-1 Adapter (das Master-Gerät) die Funktionen eines oder mehrerer
Ovation GR-1 Adapter-Geräte (die Slave-Geräte) ansteuern, ohne einen DMX-Controller verwenden zu müssen. Ein
Ovation GR-1 Adapter wird zum Master-Gerät, wenn er im Gobo-Rotator-Modus ausgeführt wird. Sie müssen das
Bedienfeld jedes einzelnen Slave-Geräts konfigurieren, um das jeweilige Gerät im Slave-Modus zu betreiben. Während
des Betriebs im Master/Slave-Modus arbeiten die Slave-Geräte im Takt des Master-Geräts.
RDM (Remote Device Management)
Remote Device Management bzw. RDM ist ein Standard, mit dem DMX-aktivierte Geräte bidirektional entlang
bestehender DMX-Kabel kommunizieren können. Der STRIKE Saber unterstützt das RDM-Protokoll, über das Feedback

Veiligheids instructies

DMX-koppeling
De Ovation GR-1 Adapter kan met een DMX-controller werken met een normale DMX seriële verbinding. Op

Master/slave-verbinding
De Ovation GR-1 Adapter maakt gebruik van de DMX-gegevensverbinding voor haar Master-/Slave-modus. De Master/
Slave-modus zorgt ervoor dat een Ovation GR-1 Adapter (de “master”) de acties regelt van een of meer Ovation GR-1
Adapter-producten (de “slaves”) zonder een DMX-regelaar. Een Ovation GR-1 Adapter wordt de master wanneer de
Gobo Rotator-modus gebruikt wordt. U moet het bedieningspaneel van elke slave configureren om in Slave-modus te
werken. Tijdens het gebruik van Master/Slave zullen de slaves in harmonie met de master werken.
RDM (apparaatbehe er op afstand)
Remote Device Management of RDM (apparaatbeheer op afstand) is een standaard die het voor DMX-apparaten
mogelijk maakt om in twee richtingen te communiceren over bestaande DMX-kabels. De Ovation GR-1 Adapter
ondersteunt het RDM-protocol dat zorgt feedback toelaat bij de bewaking van wijzigingen aan de menu map-opties van.
