GENERAL SAFETY
1. Equipment is to be operated by trained qualified personnel only.
2. Always read and follow the operating and safety procedures.
3. Do not operate without all guards and safety equipment installed in the proper location and in
working order.
4. Do not disable any safety features. They are there for your protection.
5. Always use qualified personnel when repairing or maintaining the equipment.
6. This equipment must be used only for the purpose for which it is intended. Any other use will void
the warranty and could cause bodily injury to the operator and costly damage to the equipment.
7. If a malfunction should occur, turn the machine off immediately and correct the problem, before
restarting the machine.
8. Do not leave the equipment unattended while it is running.
9. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry when operating this equipment. Long hair should be confined
by a hat or a hair net.
10. Do not operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
SANDING SAFETY
1. Limit the operation only to those personnel trained in the proper use and operation of the machinery.
2. Never operate the machine without proper ventilation.
3. Keep all clothing and your body away from the rotating equipment.
4. Obey all safety labels and instructions affixed to the machine.
5. Never run the machine speed faster than the factory settings.
6. Always wear proper protection when handling the battery. This includes eye protection, proper
gloves, and clothing protectors.
7. Never leave sawdust in plastic collector bag when not in use. This is to prevent possible igniting of
a fire.
8. Dispose of sawdust properly.
9. To reduce chance of fire, care should be taken when refueling gas engine models to ensure that no
fuel spills on the exhaust system.

C.A.V. Super 30 OVERVIEW AND SPECIFICATIONS
The C.A.V. Super 30 is designed to safely and easily vacuum and collect sawdust from floor sanding machines. It
includes a complete vacuum, one replacement filter, hose reel, 198' of 2" anti-crush hose, 100' of 1.5" anti-crush

The air enters the chamber and swirls along the inside walls. This motion causes the dust
and debris to drop out of the cycle of air flow and fall into the dust containment bin at the
base of the chamber. At the bottom of the chamber there is an opening to an interior tube
where the air can escape the chamber. After it moves up this tube, it passes through the
filter, where any remaining dust particles are captured. Clean air is then exhausted through
the silencer.

Uncrating & Installation
1. Carefully remove all of the packing materials and check
the parts against the Packing List.
2. Your machine was test-run and shipped with all fluids at
the proper levels. Check them now and top off as
required.
3. Using a forklift, or other means, place the machine in a
trailer or truck (for information on recommended trailer
specifications and layout see page 10). The trailer or
truck must have two 48" side doors, one on each side,
for proper engine ventilation (consult the factory for the
properlocation).
4. Position the unit so that the vacuum and engine
exhaust out of the open doors. Inlet valves should be
accessible at the side door.
5. Drill out the holes to the proper size and bolt the unit in
place, fastening it to the metal joists in the trailer floor
(refer to the mounting footprint on page 15).
WARNING: Machine must not be operated,
transported or stored without being securely
fastened to a stable base.
DANGER:
1.) This machine MUST be grounded.
2.) The side doors MUST be open during
operation.
Failure to do so may lead to an accumulation of
static electric charge and vented fuel fumes that
may ignite in the trailer body.
6. Fill the gas tank. Your new machine is now ready for
operation.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Start-UP
WARNING: At all times keep your hands, clothing,
etc., away from the inlet and discharge of the
machine.
1. Attach the hose(s) to the air inlet (see figure 1) of the
machine, using the hose connectors provided.
NOTE: Two 2" air inlets allow the operators flexibility
with how and where they want to run hoses into the job
site. Two operators can work completely independent
of each other.
2. Attach additional hose lengths to the hose(s) with hose
connectors.
3. Attach hose(s) to floor sanding machine as required.

4. Check installation of dust filter.
5. Check installation of the plastic trash bag.
NOTE: The plastic trash bag goes into the dust canis-
ter (see figure 2). This large capacity dust canister has
a capacity of 30 gallons. The canister is designed to fit
a standard 55 gallon trash bag for easy dust collection
and disposal.
Make sure the trash bag retainer is in place by fitting it
easily into the channel just under the lip of the dust
canister (see figure 3).
6. Fill gas tank as required.
WARNING: Do not overfill the gas tank. Allow
room for expansion of the fuel. Do not let the fuel
line come in contact with the exhaust system.
7. Start the engine. Engine factory set normal operating
speed is 3500-3600 RPM.
8. Your machine is now ready for service.
WARNING: When not using the machine, move the
throttle to the slow position.
WARNING: This machine is a powerful vacuum
and should be treated as such. Wooden boards,
nails and other foreign materials other than dust
are commonly found on floor environments.
There is always the possibility of these objects
penetrating the filter element. Keep children and
pets away from the machine while it is running.
Shutdown
1. Move the throttle to the slow position. Run the
machine for approximately 5 minutes.
2. Turn the engine off.
3. Disconnect the hose(s).
WARNING: Sawdust is combustible and should not
be stored in the machine. Sawdust should be
disposed of properly.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CONT.
Cleaning Dust Filter
NOTE: Because of the Cyclone design used on this
machine, large bag filters or multistage filtering systems
are not needed. This simple paper filter captures any dust
that does not drop out of the air due to the cyclone effect.
This filter is easy to remove, replace or clean on a regular
basis.
1. Remove filter housing toggle clamps (A) and open filter
door (B) to expose element (see figure 4).
2. Remove filter retaining plate and pull filter straight out to
remove from housing (see figure 5).
3. Gently "Rap" filter to dislodge any loose dust.
4. Re-install filter while being careful to seat it properly.
NOTE: Filter will require regular cleaning, at least daily.
NOTE: When the filter pressure gauge reads 22" W.C., the
vacuum should be shutdown and filter cleaned. It is
recommended that you keep 1-2 spare elements available
at all times.
MAINTENANCE
1. ENGINE: Refer to the attached service manual for
engineservicing.
2. BATTERY: The battery provided with your machine is of
the lead acid type. The battery cables should be
checked daily for corrosion and tightness.
3. BLOWER: During the normal use of your machine, no
maintenance is required on the blower. NOTE: Do not
replace the original blower with any other blower other
than the factory approved replacement.
4. DRIVE BELT: The drive belt should be checked daily for
proper tension, alignment and wear.
5. FILTER: The vacuum filter should be checked daily or
more often for build up and damage.
6. PLASTIC COLLECTOR BAG: The plastic trash bag
should be empty at start of operation and should be
disposed of properly at end of operation. NOTE: See
"Start Up", figures 2 and 3, for proper installation of
plastic trash bag.
If a problem, noise or vibration should occur, stop the
equipment immediately!! Contact the factory as soon as
possible. Do not operate this equipment until it has been
thoroughly checked by the factory.

ENGINE: Refer to the attached service manual for

NO SUCTION FROM THE END OF THE HOSE:

INDICACIONES GENERALES SOBRE SEGURIDAD

5. Nunca opere la máquina a una velocidad superior a la establecida por los ajustes en fábrica.
6. Siempre use la protección adecuada cuando manipule las baterías. Esto incluye protección ocular,

7. Nunca deje aserrín en la bolsa colectora de plástico cuando no la utilice. Esta medida es para

La C.A.V. Super 30 está diseñada para aspirar y recoger fácilmente y de manera segura el aserrín de las máquinas

Escape de aire
El aire ingresa en la cámara y fluye en forma de espiral por las paredes interiores. Este
movimiento provoca que el polvo y los residuos salgan del ciclo de flujo de aire y caigan
dentro del compartimiento de contención de polvo en la base de la cámara. En el fondo de la
cámara se halla una abertura hacia un tubo interior por el cual se libera el aire. Luego de
ascender a través de este tubo, pasa por el filtro, y allí son capturadas las partículas de
polvo restantes. Luego, el aire limpio es expulsado a través del silenciador.

Desempaque e Instalación
1. Retire cuidadosamente todos los materiales de empaque
y controle que estén todas las piezas que aparecen en la
lista de empaque.
2. Su máquina fue probada y enviada con todos los líquidos
en los niveles correctos. Verifíquelos y llene hasta arriba
según sea necesario.
3. Utilizando una horquilla elevadora u otros medios,
coloque la máquina sobre un trailer o camión (para
información sobre las especificaciones recomendadas
del trailer y la disposición, consulte la página 10). El
trailer o camión deben tener dos puertas laterales de 48”,
una a cada lado, para una ventilación adecuada del motor
(consulte con la fábrica para la ubicación correcta).
4. Posicione la unidad de manera que el vacío y motor
evacuen por las puertas laterales. Las válvulas de
entrada deben ser accesibles en la puerta lateral.
5. Perfore los orificios en la medida correcta y fije con
pernos la unidad en su lugar, ajustándola a las viguetas
de metal en el piso del trailer (consulte la sección
montaje en la página 15).
ADVERTENCIA: La máquina debe ser operada,
transportada o almacenada sin ser ajustada
firmemente a una base estable.
PELIGRO:
1.) Esta máquina DEBE estar conectada a tierra.
2.) Las puertas laterales DEBEN estar abiertas
durante la operación.
En caso de que no ocurriera lo anterior, podría
conducir a una acumulación de carga eléctrica
estática y de humos de combustible venteados que
podrían prenderse fuego en la carrocería del trailer.
6. Llene el depósito de gasolina. Su nueva máquina ahora
está lista para ser operada.
INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO
Puesta en marcha
ADVERTENCIA: En todo momento mantenga sus
manos, vestimenta, etc. alejados de la entrada y
descarga de la máquina.
1. Acople la(s) manguera(s) a la entrada de aire (vea la
figura 1) de la máquina, utilizando los conectores de
manguera provistos.
NOTA: Las dos entradas de aire de 2 pulgadas
permiten a los operarios mayor flexibilidad de maniobra
con las mangueras en el lugar de trabajo. Dos
operarios pueden trabajar de manera totalmente
independiente.
2. Acople tramos de manguera adicionales a la(s)
manguera(s) con los conectores de manguera.
3. Acople la(s) manguera(s) a la máquina de lijado según
se requiera.

4. Verifique que el filtro de polvo esté bien instalado.
5. Verifique que la bolsa de residuos de plástico esté bien
instalada.
NOTA: La bolsa de residuos de plástico va colocada
dentro del depósito de polvo (vea la figura 2). Este
depósito de polvo de gran tamaño tiene capacidad para
30 galones. El depósito está diseñado para alojar una
bolsa de residuos convencional de 55 galones para
facilitar la recolección y el deshecho de polvo.
Asegúrese de que el retenedor de la bolsa de residuos
esté en su lugar ajustándolo fácilmente dentro del canal
debajo del borde del depósito de polvo (vea la figura 3).
6. Llene el depósito de gasolina como sea requerido.
ADVERTENCIA: No llene en exceso el depósito de
gasolina. Deje lugar para que el combustible se
expanda. No deje que la línea de combustible
entre en contacto con el sistema de escape.
7. Ponga en marcha el motor. La velocidad operativa
normal del motor establecida en fábrica es de 3500-
3600 RPM.
8. Su nueva máquina ahora está lista para ser operada.
ADVERTENCIA: Cuando no utilice la máquina,
mueva el regulador a la posición lenta.
ADVERTENCIA: Esta máquina es una aspiradora
potente y debe ser tratada como tal. Cartones de
madera, clavos y otros materiales extraños que
no sean polvo comúnmente se encuentran sobre
los pisos. Siempre existe la posibilidad de que
estos objetos penetren el elemento filtrante.
Mantenga a los niños y las mascotas alejados de
la máquina mientras esté en funcionamiento.
Cierre
1. Mueva el regulador a la posición lenta. Haga funcionar la
máquina por aproximadamente 5 minutos.
2. Apague el motor.
3. Desconecte la(s) manguera(s).
ADVERTENCIA: El aserrín es combustible y no debe
ser guardado en la máquina. Deshágase del aserrín
de una manera adecuada.

Limpieza del filtro de polvo
NOTA: Gracias al diseño de ciclón utilizado en esta
máquina, ya no son necesarios los filtros de bolsa grande
ni los sistemas de filtrado de etapa múltiple. Un simple
filtro de papel captura el polvo que no es expulsado por
medio del efecto ciclón. Este filtro se puede quitar,
reemplazar o limpiar con facilidad de forma regular.
1. Quite las abrazaderas basculantes del alojamiento del
filtro (A) y abra la puerta del filtro (B) para exponer el
elemento (vea figura 4).
2. Quite la placa de retención del filtro y extraiga el filtro
del alojamiento (vea figura 5).
3. Suavemente de golpecitos al filtro para desalojar el
polvo suelto.
4. Vuelva a instalar el filtro teniendo cuidado de que se
asiente adecuadamente.
NOTA: El filtro requerirá una limpieza regular, por lo menos
diaria.
NOTA: Cuando la lectura del indicador de presión del filtro
indica 22” W.C., deberá cerrarse el vacío y limpiarse el
filtro. Es recomendable que mantenga 1-2 elementos
filtrantes de repuesto en todo momento.
MANTENIMIENTO
1. MOTOR: Consulte el manual de servicio que se adjunta
para indicaciones sobre cómo reparar el motor.
2. BATERÍA: La batería suministrada con su máquina es
del tipo de ácido de plomo. Los cables de la batería
deben controlarse diariamente para ver si hay indicios
de corrosión y si están bien ajustados.
3. SOPLADOR: Durante el uso normal de su máquina, no
es necesario realizarle ningún mantenimiento al
soplador. NOTA: No reemplace el soplador original por
otro que no sea el de reemplazo aprobado por la fábrica.
4. CORREA DE TRANSMISIÓN: La correa de transmisión
debe inspeccionarse diariamente para comprobar que la
tensión sea la adecuada, que tenga una buena
alineación y que no haya desgaste.
5. FILTRO: El filtro de vacío debe inspeccionarse
diariamente o con mayor frecuencia para comprobar que
no haya acumulación de residuos ni daños.
6. BOLSA COLECTORA DE PLÁSTICO: La bolsa de
residuos de plástico debe estar vacía al inicio de la
operación y debe desecharse adecuadamente al final de la
misma. NOTA: Vea “Puesta en marcha”, figuras 2 y 3 para
la instalación correcta de la bolsa de residuos de plástico.
¡En caso de que ocurriera un problema, se presentaran
ruidos o vibraciones, detenga el equipo inmediatamente!
Póngase en contacto con la fábrica tan pronto como sea
posible. No haga funcionar este equipo hasta que haya sido
inspeccionado exhaustivamente por la fábrica.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
MOTOR: Consulte el manual de servicio que se adjunta para
indicaciones sobre cómo reparar el motor y resolver problemas.
SIN SUCCIÓN DESDE EL EXTREMO DE LA MANGUERA:
1. Detenga el motor.
2. Inspeccione las mangueras para verificar que no haya una
obstrucción.
3. Inspeccione las válvulas de entrada para comprobar que no
haya una obstrucción.
4. Inspeccione la descarga del silenciador para verificar que no
haya una obstrucción.
5. Inspeccione el filtro y el alojamiento del filtro para verificar
que no haya una obstrucción o que no presenten daños.
6. Retire el cubo del colector e inspeccione debajo del tubo de
vacío para comprobar que no haya ninguna obstrucción.
