6
Take the strap over your left shoulder across your body and thread through both rings.
Keep them untwisted.
Take the end of the strap and thread it back through the front/top ring.
TIP: To test whether you have threaded it correctly pull on the fabric behind the rings…it
should stay firmly in place.
56
Then repeat the steps right to left.

7
Putting on my Caboo
Take the carrier out of the bag first.
Hold the carrier out in front of you.
The Caboo logo should be facing you
reading the right way up
Place the carrier over your head like a
T-shirt. Your arms should go out through the
sides and head through the middle.
Pull the carrier down at the back panel, to
sit in your mid to low back.
Ensure that none of the fabric is twisted.

8
Tighten the carrier by pulling down and
forward evenly on both straps.
It is important that they are not too loose,
they should be comfortably close.
TIP: Always check you have left 10-12 cm
space between you and the carrier.
To check you have left enough room, simply
place your hands behind the straps.
TIP: To loosen the fabric at any time lift the visible front/top ring up and outwards and pull
back the fabric above the ring to lengthen the strap.

10
Transfer your baby to the opposite shoulder supporting their head and collect the other
leg through the outer strap.
Lower baby’s bottom down inside the cross
created by the straps, making sure the
straps of the cross are located behind
baby’s knees.
5 6
7

11
Spread the straps (inner strap first) fully and evenly from behind baby’s knee, all across
your baby’s back and shoulders to the back of baby’s other knee.
So they sit in a frog legged or ‘M’ position …ie with their knees higher than their bottom.
(Tip: See page 29 for Pre Flip tips)
TIP: To adjust baby to an optimal seated
position for their hips, take hold of the tops
of their thighs/around their hips, and gently
tilt their pelvis towards you (an easy way
to describe it is to imagine you are holding
2 glasses of water and you are tipping the
water out of the glasses!)
TIP: If you find the top or bottom rail is
gaping, simply follow either rail to the ring
and pull through the ring section to tighten.

12
Once baby is in, tighten the straps one last time and tie the ends of the straps in a double
knot at the front underneath baby’s bottom to avoid any slippage.
TIP: Tilt baby’s head back and lay their
cheek against your chest to ensure they
have free flowing air…
Their chin should be clear of their chest by a
minimum of 1.5 fingers.
Tip: you can wrap any access fabric under
and around the rings for extra comfort.
Please ensure you knot the carrier securely to
avoid slippage.

13
Then support baby’s head by simply
spreading the fabric from the shoulder
closest to them behind their head.
It is good to do this with a baby of any age
while they sleep.
Turn the bag inside out to make it into the
wrap. Place the wrap around you both.
With the padded cuff at the top and zip
pocket facing outwards.
Pull tightly and tie securely in a double knot
behind your back.
Spread the material out, the top cuff should
sit at the nape of baby’s neck and wrap
over baby’s shoulders.

14
At this age baby’s arms do not need to be contained by the strap.
Baby’s head will only need supporting when they are sleeping, for added security try
tucking one arm in whilst they sleep.
The supporting wrap should always be used.
Always remember to check baby is being carried safely, if in doubt please refer to the
“Safety checks - Am I carrying my baby safely in my Caboo?” and “The T.I.C.K.S Rules for
Safe Babywearing Checklist” in this manual on pages 24 to 27.
Be sure to keep baby’s fingers and toes clear from the rings when tightening or loosening
the carrier.
For babies who can hold their own head 4 months+ / Max weight range 32lb/14.5

15
Taking off my Caboo
Untie and take off the wrap. Support your
baby with one hand while you pull the fabric
back with the other until you can get under
each arm (and cupped behind the head for
a newborn)
TIP: You may untie the ends of the straps
and loosen the rings slightly to release the
fabric if necessary.
Lift baby up and away from you to free the
legs. Put baby down safely, then take off
your Caboo.

Breast feeding position
Please note that this should only be used when seated for breastfeeding and not as a
carrying position.
Put the carrier on repeating steps on pages 7 & 8. The straps need to be looser than in the
upright position to get baby in.
If you want to feed baby on the left breast, the inner strap needs to be on right shoulder
and vice versa. See steps on threading the rings on page 5 & 6 (Fig 1 - 6).
Hold baby with their head on the opposite
side to the inner strap.
Move both straps away from baby.
Bring baby’s legs through the inner strap. Spread the fabric across baby from back
of the neck to their feet.
12
34

17
Pull the strap through the ring to tighten. Bring outer strap around the baby’s legs.
Twist the fabric as you bring it across and
spread out fully around baby.
Move both straps away from baby.
56
Note: Always ensure baby has free-flowing air whilst feeding.
To alternate to the opposite breast you will need to take baby out and change the inner
strap to the outer strap...

18
Taking off my Caboo
Supporting baby firmly.
Move the outer strap away off baby.
Proceed in the same with the inner strap.
Put baby down safely before you take off your Caboo over your head.
Positions for babies aged 6 months+
Hip position
Hold the carrier in front of you with both
sets of rings to one side, to the right if you
want to carry on the left hip or to the right if
you want to carry on the right hip.
Take the arm further away from the rings
and bring through the straps over your
head.
The back panel should sit on your shoulder
with both sets of rings to the front on your
chest.
12

19
Bring your arm on the ring side through between the rings so the outermost strap is now
behind you.
Slide the back panel back slightly if required the rings at the top should sit about 10cm
down from your shoulder and the rings below should sit on your hip.
Tighten the ends of both straps so that you
have only a small amount of room to get
baby in.
Place baby up high on the shoulder
opposite the rings and locate the lower
strap around your waist.

20
Open the fabric to form a hammock for baby to sit in.
Bring both baby’s legs through the strap so that baby is sitting in the hammock, straddling
your hip.
Spread the fabric high up around baby’s back.
Ensure the fabric is spread completely underneath baby’s bottom and to the backs of both
their knees. Baby should be seated in the ‘frog-legged’ or ‘M’ position with their knees
higher than their bottom.
