Installing Tank Thermostat
The Tank Thermostat is typically installed and aached to
your hot water tank/cylinder. It is set up using Bluetooth
and connects wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi network. The
Tank Thermostat is aached directly to the cylinder while
the sensor facing the cylinder wall. The adhesive mounts
and cables hold the Thermostat firmly for accurate
temperature reading.
If you’re installing a cylinder thermostat
for the first time, cut- away a small piece
of cylinder insulation about 3cm in
diameter to allow your Tank Thermostat
sensor to face the surface of your hot
water cylinder.
Loop one cable tie through one hook of
the Thermostat case and then through
one adhesive mount before tying loosely.
With the sensor positioned over the
opening in the tank insulation, aach
adhesive mount to the cylinder. Repeat
for each cable tie.
Connect heat resistant
USB-C cable to Tank

Installing Control
Comfortzone smart heating control supports
up to 4 heating zones including hot water.
The Control device should be installed by an
approved installer such as a registered
electrician (RECI) or a registered gas installer
(RGI). Please contact Codemaker Support if
you would like to book an appointment with
an approved installer.
Number of Zones
The installation steps depend on how many
heating zones your home currently has. For a
single heating zone, you can usually just
replace your existing boiler clock timer with
Comfortzone Control. For a home with
multiple heating zones, your electrician or
approved installer will advise you on how to
install your Control.
11

You will need:
1. A single-gang electrical back box.
2. A small flat-head Screwdriver.
3. Comfortzone Control.
Warning: Risk of Electric Shock. Disconnect
all power sources before installation.
Turn off the power supply to your
existing clock timer at your consumer
unit (fuse board). Confirm that the
power supply is properly
disconnected.
Remove your old clock timer or
Control device. Check that you have
a single-gang electrical back box
behind your old timer device to
aach your Control to. If not, fit an
electrical backbox to your wall. An
electrical back box can be purchased
from your local electrical wholesaler.
The Earth wire should be
properly grounded by
connecting it to the earth
terminal in the back box if
one exists (important when
using metal back boxes).
