Cognex VisionView VGA User manual

To connect VisionView®VGA to a touch screen, you will also need the serial
cable that is provided by the touch screen manufacturer. If connecting to a
Pro-face®/Xycom®touch screen, a DB9 female-to-female null modem cable
must be used in place of the manufacturer’s serial cable.
Verify that VisionView VGA’s power supply is unplugged and not1.
receiving power.
Connect the VisionView VGA Touch Screen cable’s RJ-12 connector to2.
VisionView VGA’s Touch Screen port.
Connect the touch screen manufacturer’s serial cable to the appropriate3.
port on the touch screen.
Connect the VisionView VGA Touch Screen cable’s DB9 connector to4.
the DB9 connector on the serial cable provided by the touch screen
manufacturer.
Restore power to VisionView VGA’s power supply, and turn it on if5.
necessary.
