HOW TO SET UP THE NEW PRINTER

lug power cord into power supply then into back of printer and into power out-
let.
lug keypad into back of printer and tighten screws securely
Check to make sure ribbon is in tight. It could come loose in shipping.
*One way to make sure the ribbon is in tight is to open the
printer and pull down the ribbon carriage. On the left side of the ribbon
carriage is a white wheel, put one finger on the white wheel and
one finger on the opposite side and squeeze it together as hard
as you can.
Load labels and close lid.
ower the unit on. The switch is located on the bottom right side of the
machine. Never power the unit off by just unplugging it. When
you power it on it will give you a red light for up to 1-2 minutes. ress
the green button one time when the light turns green. It should push
out 1 or 2 labels you are now ready to print a label.
Do not open the lid to roll the labels back.
If the machi e is pushi g out bla k labels:
Do not power machine off. Just open & close the machine lid. When
you close the machine the light will flash green. ush the green button
one time it will push out 2-5 blank labels. Rip those labels off & rint a few test labels
the first 2 or 3 labels may not print lined up by the 3rd or 4th label it should print cor-
rectly.

LOADING LABELS:
ower printer off by the switch on the bottom right hand side
Open printer cover.
Load labels face up into holder and thread through the black label
guides. Adjust label guide by using the green control wheel (on
right). Do not over tighten or the labels will not feed freely and
properly.
Once tightened, release cover and shut.
Power the unit on. The switch is located on the bottom right side of
the machine. Never power the u it off by just u pluggi g it. When you power it on it will
give you a red light for up to 1-2 minutes. Press the green button one time when the light
turns green. It should push out 1 or 2 labels you are now ready to print a label.

Open printer cover. ull ribbon carriage forward.
Attach ribbon roll to spring load closest to back of printer making
sure the otches o the ribbo core a d the otches o the machi e
are matchi g up together o the left side.

**DO NOT REUSE THE RIBBON, IT WILL CAUSE
THE PRINTER TO GO OFF LINE!
•Using the roll control (on left) turn clockwise until ribbon shows all black.
Close cover. (Pri t head will ot lock i place.)

MAINTENANCE
Cleaning the rint head
The manufacturer suggests cleaning the print head every time you change the
ribbon to keep the print quality optimal and to increase the life of the print head.
*** CAUTION***
The pri t head may be hot a d could cause severe bur s. Allow the
pri t head to cool for 5 mi utes before clea i g.
How to clea the pri t head: You ca use the clea i g pe provided
with the pri ter or you ca use cotto swabs a d 90% isopropyl
alcohol. The pri t head eleme t is located o the u derside of the
pri t head above the yellow strip with arrows poi ti g up.
Swab the pri t head from e d to e d.

**NOTE**
You will only have to enter the “DATE” once daily unless you change the
template or shut the printer off.
When printing the next label if you want the same return date as the last
label you will only need to hit enter. If you want to change the date you do
not have to clear the old date out just type in the new date.
When typing in new miles you don’t have to clear the screen just type in
the new miles the printer will clear out old miles.
When you power the printer on the keypad will say “Form-Retrieve
form F2 list forms V2.8”
ress “Form” On the keypad DO NOT PRESS F2 this will just print
out all the template numbers.
The keyboard will then say enter form name (for form names see
template chart on the last few pages of the instructional manual)
ut in the form name (number) and press enter.
The keypad will prompt you for the different information for the
label you picked.
After each entry press enter.
The last entry will read “Number of label sets” this is how many
labels you would like to print for 1 label just hit enter.

Template Chart
Form names are the numbers that are under each sample label in the back of the Manual. If you
are using generic stock labels and want your company name, address and phone number to print
out on the label just use the form number under each label (1-70). If you have custom labels and do
not want your company name, address and phone number to print out add a letter “c” to the form
number you want. (1c-70c)
Numbers 1-38 will print mileage as entered without adding any miles.
Numbers 39-47 will add 3000 miles to the mileage entered.
Numbers 48-56 will add 3750 miles to the mileage entered.
Numbers 57-65 will add 5000 miles to the mileage entered.
Number 66 has 4 lines you can type in your own message with no miles
and date.
Numbers 67-70 are for the car wash & detailing.
