the booster pump that increases water flow pressure
drain pump
WIRING
Before connecting the machine to the power supply make sure that:
The mains power supply is compatible with the rated voltage; the mains power supply installation is
adequate for the maximum voltage absorbed by the appliance during the operating phase (see rating-
plate values);
The appliance is connected to a suitable earth (ground) system;
For direct connection to the power mains, on all machines installed, whether in-built or external, it is
necessary to arrange for a device that ensures disconnection from the mains, with a contact opening
distance ensuring complete disconnection under overvoltage category iii conditions, in compliance with
installation directions.
To make power connections:
Connect the machine power socket to the multi-pole wall switch provided;
There is a terminal marked at the rear of the machine , which allows equipotential connection between
different appliances.
IMPORTANT: In machines with an input voltage 400V3N, connect the neutral wire (blue) and the earth wire
(yellow/ green) separately.
IMPORTANT: Should the power supply cable be damaged, it will have to be replaced by the manufacturer or
by its service centre or in any case by a person with equal qualifications, so as to prevent any risks.
WATER PIPES
The connection to the mains water supply must be carried out by qualified personnel in compliance with the
manufacturer’s instructions. Before connecting the machine to the mains water supply make sure that:
The mains water supply is for human consumption (potable cold water);
The water is supplied at a temperature between 10 and 35 °c;
Operating pressure is between 0.2 mpa and 0.5 mpa (2÷5bar);
Between the mains water supply and the appliance’s supply pipe a stopcock is installed so that the water
supply can be disconnected if required;
A water softener is installed on the supply pipe if the water is hard;
If there are solid elements (e.g. Sand, etc.) a mechanical filter is installed in a position that enables it to
be inspected and cleaned as necessary.
The supply system and any accessory devices must comply with the relevant regulations and with the
regulations in force in the country in which the appliance is installed.
Never cut off the water supply whilst the appliance is operating.
Should a machine be replaced with a new one, for the connection to the water supply mains, the new fittings
supplied with the machine shall have to be employed to replace existing fittings.

Identify the supply pipe and follow this procedure:
Insert the seal washers into the two threaded nuts of the water supply pipe;
Screw on a threaded nut at the solenoid valve outlet located at the rear of the appliance without
overtightening to prevent the risk of breakage of the joints;
Tighten the other threaded nut on the water supply stopcock.
DRAINS CONNECTION
To connect the discharge pipe ensure that it is connected in an open trap.
Connect the waste pipe onto the elbow located underneath the machine by applying moderate manual
pressure. The above 2m waste pipe is also supplied with the machine.
DETERGENT DISPENSER CONNECTION (Optional)
When required, the machine can be supplied with built in electric detergent dispenser.
In the event of the doser being required after machine purchase, only have this installed by "professional
personnel" or "technical staff of the nearest after-sales centre".
Doser installation requires:
Electrical connection: connect the power wires of the detergent dispenser in parallel with the power
wires of the machine control solenoid valve.
Water connection: Cut the supplied tube in two parts. Fit the filter and the weight in one end of the
suction tube and connect the other end to the inlet connection of the detergent pump. Fit the detergent
injector in the hole in the tank. Connect the second tube between the outlet connection of the
detergent pump and the injector. Put the tube with the filter and the weight into the detergent bin.
WATER SOFTENER CONNECTION (Optional)
To ensure the long life of your machine, only use "soft water" for washing. Get to know the hardness of your
water supply (contact your town council or drinking water utility).
It is important that an 8 or 12 L water softener, for glasswashers, and 16 or 20 L water softener, for dishwashers
is installed with the machine to achieve maximum washing power, (contact the Service Department).
BOOSTER PUMP (Optional) (Fig. 1)
In the event of the water supply pressure being below 0.2 MPa (2 bar), it is best to fit an auxiliary pump to
increase the pressure. At the time of ordering, depending on the model, the machine can be supplied complete
with a booster pump. Should the dishwasher not be used for long periods, check that the rinse booster pump
turns freely. This is done by turning a screwdriver in the appropriate slot in the motor shaft (fan side). Should it
be jammed, hit the end of the screwdriver lightly with a plastic hammer.
Fig. 1

DRAIN PUMP (Optional) (Fig. 2)
If the washing water drainage trap is located high up, we recommend fitting a drain pump. At the time of
ordering, depending on the model, the machine can be supplied complete with a drain pump.
A: Correct installation
B: Incorrect installation
1. Water level in tank
2. Waste pump
3. Drain under the tank level water
4. Pump delivery side
5. Water column for priming the pump
6. Drain over the tank water level
Fig. 2
N.B. To empty the tank: Take out the overflow pipe and leave the door open. Then press the “drain pump” button
for at least 2 seconds; the drain pump will start to empty the tank. At the end of the drain cycle , switch off the
machine. During the wash-rinse cycle the excess water is automatically drained out.
REQUEST AND INSTALLATION OF OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES AFTER PURCHASE
Should it become necessary to fit one or more optional accessories, make sure installation is done by
"professional personnel”or "personnel belonging to the nearest after-sales centre".
6 USING THE MACHINE
CHECK FILTER AND OVERFLOW PIPE
With the machine disconnected from the power mains, open the door and remove the basket:
Put the overflow pipe in its seating inside the tank.
Ensure that the filter is properly set into its housing making sure this is properly secured to the bottom
of the machine.
N.B. We recommend that the machine is not used without the filter in place.

WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS AND PREPARING FOR WASHING (water loading)
Open the water supply tap;
Fit the plug in the power socket; switch on the machine;
Make sure the door is closed;
From the machine control panel, press the machine switch-on button to run water into the tank.
After about 30/35 minutes the warning-light automatically lights up and the machine is ready for the first
washing cycle.
DETERGENT
The detergent needs to be an absolutely NON-FOAMING type and suitable for use in industrial glass and
dishwashing machines.
We recommend the use of liquid detergents. Correct dosage is most important for achieving good washing
results and for proper operation and long life of the machine. In dosing the detergent, always follow the
manufacturer's instructions. Doses can vary according to the hardness of the water and the amount of dirt-grease
still on the dishes (the greater the hardness and the dirt, the greater the amount of detergent).
Machine without detergent dispenser
The detergent must be added about every five washes in the quantity suggested by the selected supplier:
Open the loading door and introduce the detergent inside the tank;
Close the door again.
Machine with detergent dispenser
The detergent is added automatically during the washing cycle:
Before starting the cycle, make sure there is detergent in the tank and that the suction pipe is emerged
in the detergent.
IMPORTANT: Never soak naked hands in the washing solution containing the detergent.
RINSE-AID
The machine is equipped with a rinse-aid dispenser which works using the machine rinsing pressure. Its quantity
is adjustable by micrometric screw (by turning it clockwise you diminish the quantity, by turning it counter-
clockwise you increase it). We recommend a dose of about 5cm per each cycle as the rinsing product is very
foamy.
NOTE: Upon first installation, it may be necessary to prime the doser in the following way:
Loosen the adjustment screw until it stops press the screw in until the rinse-aid has filled the tube.
BASKET LOADING
In loading the basket with glasses, plates or dishes in general, a number of important factors must be taken into
consideration:
Load the dishes upside down in the baskets in a stable position and possibly without these touching one
another;
Make sure the sprayer arms can turn freely;
Use glasses and dishes suitable for washing in dishwashers;
The plates must be placed in the basket in a forward inclined position;
Push the basket in so it slides on the rollers and make sure it is completely inserted in the machine;
Close the door.
STARTING THE WASHING CYCLE
The start, work function setting and stop of the washing cycle is done by means of the controls on the control
panel on each machine as described in this manual. With the machine ready for cycle start (light indicator on)
perform the following operations in sequence:

Cycle start:
By means of the switch or button, select the most suitable washing cycle from among those that can be
preset;
Press the “Cycle Start” button to start the “set washing” cycle. At this point the machine starts the
washing cycle automatically.
During the washing cycle, it is possible to:
On some machine models, before the rinsing cycle starts, select by means of the switch the "rinsing
with hot water" or "rinsing with cold water" modes.
At the end of the washing cycle:
All the machines are set to stop automatically at the end of the washing cycle. The stop is indicated by
the light of the “Cycle Start” button switching off;
At the end of the cycle, open the door, take out the basket with the washed glasses or dishes and remove
these.
At the end of the day:
Switch off the machine;
Move the master switch to "OFF";
Remove the overflow pipe and empty the machine;
Leave the door ajar.
7 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Best operation and long machine life are ensured by careful weekly machine cleaning.
Cleaning must be carried out by authorised personnel trained in such tasks and wearing protective gloves.
Before performing any cleaning or maintenance operations make sure the power and water supplies are
disconnected.
The operator must perform simple regular cleaning and routine maintenance tasks:
Changing the water and cleaning the inside of tank;

from its housing.
Cleaning the tank. Remove any residues on the bottom of the tank with a sponge and wash with clean
water. For cleaning, use washing-up detergent or water and vinegar solution. Do not use abrasive
detergents or powers that might damage the internal parts. To eliminate any incrustation, use a sponge
or brush with soft plastic bristles.
Door seal cleaning. Using a soft cloth, remove any residues on the door by washing with clean water.
Topping up the washing water level. Fit the overflow pipe back on and top up the water level in the tub
(see "MACHINE USE" paragraph).

If the machine fails to wash correctly, make sure the filter is not dirty or clogged. It is a good idea to check this at
least every 20 cycles, when the tub is empty, whenever the washing water is changed.
Removing and cleaning the filter. Loosen and remove the filter retention screw (when fitted). Take out
the filter and wash it under a strong jet of water. In case of difficult deposits or residues, use a common
detergent for dishes and a brush with soft plastic bristles.
Fitting the filter. Fit the filter back into position and secure with the screw (when fitted).
Make sure the filter is properly fitted back in its housing otherwise the machine may not work properly.
IMPORTANT: Never use the machine without the filter.
Cleaning the washing arms and rinsing rotator nozzles
In the event of the machining failing to wash properly, make sure the spray nozzles are not blocked. Generally
speaking, it is a good idea to perform a weekly check to ensure correct operation of the washing and rinsing
nozzles.
Removal of the washing arms and rinsing rotator: Loosen and remove the retention screw of each arms
and rotator unit positioned on the upper and lower parts of the tub and remove the two units.
Cleaning the washing arms: Release the end plug-locking spring, remove the plug and remove any
impurities that prevent a perfect flow of water.
Checking and cleaning the rinsing nozzles: Make sure the nozzles are free of any impurities preventing
the correct flow of water. If necessary, use a pin to free the blocked holes. In the event of scale, treat
the unit with a specific scale prevention product according to the specific product use instructions.
Fitting the washing arms and rinsing rotator units: Fit the two lower and upper wash arms and fasten
in position by means of the relevant retention screws.
