A520 Amiga Modulator
Description
T e A520 modulator is a precision product
designed to facilitate connection to a standard
PAL television of t e Amiga series of computers.
T e A520 will allow you to obtain a ig quality
picture and sound t roug most modern
television sets.

EXTRAS disc supplied wit your computer can
be used for t is purpose. If you find t at you can
get a picture but no sound, move t e switc on
t e rear of t e A520 from "LH to "H" or vice versa
using a small screwdriver or ballpoint pen.
T e video socket on t e side of t e A520 can be
used to connect your Amiga to a television or
ot er video devices wit direct video input.
Technical Notes
W en using your A520 you s ould be aware of
t e following restrictions. T e Amiga family of
computers represents state of t e art computing
and as suc can display pictures and text in very
ig resolution.
Most modern televisions do not ave t e ig
bandwit and frequency response required to
display images and text as clearly as a computer
monitor and some degradation of picture quality
is inevitable. W en working wit text you may

find it convenient to set your Amiga to 60
c aracters per line using t ev Preferences
program supplied wit your computer on t e
Workbenc disc as t is will make t e c aracters
more readable.
Since television are built to broad tolerances
Commodore cannot guarantee picture quality on
all televisions. If you believe your picture quality
is poor, you s ould endeavour to test your A520
wit a different television before contacting your
dealer.

Amiga 520 TV-Modulator
Beschreibung
Durc den Einsatz des Commodore Amiga520
TV-Modulators sind Sie in der Lage, die Bild-
und Tonwiedergabe auf ein Fernse gerät oder
einen Composite-Video-Monitor umzuleiten. Die
Stromversorgung der TV-Modulator-Box erfolgt
über der RGB-Video-Stecker des Amiga 500.
Packungsinhalt
Die folgenden Teile sollten nac dem Auspacken
vor anden sein:
• Die TV-Modulator-Box
• das Y-Adapter für die Audio-Verbindung
• das Verbindungskabel zum Fernse gerät

Anschließen der TV-Modulator-Box
Hinweis: Ac ten Sie beim Herstellen von
Steckverbindungen darauf, daß der Amiga
ausgesc altet ist.
Stecken Sie die TV-Modulator-Box mit dem
RGB-Stecker auf den RGB-Video-Ausgang des
Amiga 500.
Die beiden Tonkanäle des Amiga werden mit
Hilfe des Y-Adapters zusammengefü rt und mit
dem als AUDIO IN bezeic neten Stecker der TV-
Modulator-Box verbunden. Das Bild-Ton-Signal
liegt dann an der mit RF bezeic neten Buc se.
Stecken Sie ier das Verbindungskabel zum
Fernse gerät auf. Das andere Ende wird auf die
Antennen-Buc se des Fernse gerätes ge
sc oben.
Jetzt müssen Sie noc den Sendebereic 590
bis 598 MHz/Kanal 36 für den TV-Modulator am
Fernse gerät einstellen. Wie Sie eine solc e
Einstellung vorne men, lesen Sie bitte im
Bediener andbuc I res Fernse gerätes nac .

Mit Hilfe des Sc alters neben der RF-Buc se
können Sie zwei Frequenzbereic e für das
Tonsignal am TV-Modulator einstellen:
Position Frequenz
L 5,5 MHz (für Deutsc land)
H 6 MHz (für England)
Testen Sie I re individuelle Arbeitstisc -
Farbeinstellung mit Hilfe des Voreinstellers
(sie e Benutzer andbuc , Kapitel 5.1.11).
An die mit VIDEO OUT bezeic nete Buc se
können Sie einen Composite-Video-Monitor
ansc ließen.
