Werecommendonlyinstallingintoanewcontrollerbutthisisn’ttotally
necessary,buttheguideusesoneofthenewesttypeofcontroller(Dual
Shock33rdgeneration).

SolderingtothePCBboardinsidethePS3canbedifficultandwe
recommendyouonlyattemptthisifyouareexperiencedinusinga
solderingiron.




protectivesemisoftsurfacetopreventthecontrollerbeingscratched,showninfig
1a.










Removethe5screwsontherearofthecontrollerusingasmallPhillipsscrewdriver,
andstoreinasafeplace,showninfig1b,+1c.

Step4‐
CarefullyliftthebottomhalfofyourcontrollerupandovertheR2andL2buttons,
timeandcareshouldbetakenwhenliftingthecontrollerbaseawayfromtheR2and
L2buttons.Toosuccessfullyremovegentlyeaseitoffbyliftingandpressingbacktill
yourclearbothbuttons,andthebaseshouldliftawaynotcatchingonanything.
Placeonthesideandpositionthecontrollerflatagain,showninfig1f+g.

Note:IftheR2orL2buttonsfalloffdon’tworry,theycanbeputbackonlaterkeep
theminasafeplaceasyoucarryontheguide.






Step5‐
Removethebatterywiresfromthesocketandplaceononeside,trytoavoidpulling
onthewires.Onceyouhaveremovedthebatterystoresafelytillendofguide,
showninfig1h+I.

Note:donotattempttosolderorcontinuewiththebatterystillinstalled





