At home or travelling

While travelling to
countries with unsafe
drinking water, in Latin
America, Asia, Africa, and
some parts of Europe:
You can remove the filter
tube and filter cap and
drink directly from the
mouth piece (works like a
regular water bottle).
No need to use the
filtration system –
keep in a safe place
for your next trip.
The water bottle
can be rolled up
when not in use.
Add the filtration system for
safer drinking water.
Always use the filter when
in doubt!
Do not roll up the water
bottle when using the filter.
See page 3 for
instructions on how to
use the filtration system.

HOW TO USE YOUR WATER BOTTLE
When using the Filtration System
Step 1
Wriggle the grey
cap to separate
from the filter
tube.
Step 4
Reconnect the
filter cap to the
filter tube.
Step 2
Remove the
carbon pouch
and rinse under
water.
Step 5
Attach the filtration
system into the grey
connector on the main
water bottle cap.
Step 3
Fold the carbon
pouch in half and
place back into the
filter cap.
Step 6
Leave at least
2in/5cm of space
from the top when
filling with water.

Step 7
Attach the water
bottle cap (with
filtration system
installed) to the
water bottle.
Step 10
To fully lock, shut the
bottle cap, pull up the
metal ring latch and
click into place.
Step 8
While drinking,
squeeze the bottle
and suck water
through the filter.
Step 9
Press the release
valve on top of the
lid to allow air back
into the bottle.

DO NOT use filtration system with
anything other than plain water.
(Lemon infused water, juices, etc will clog up the filter).

Replacement Schedule:
LOOKING AFTER YOUR WATER BOTTLE
The carbon pouch and filter membrane need to be replaced for
continued effectiveness.
Clean the bottle thoroughly
after 5 uses.
The water bottle is dishwasher
safe but you must remove the
filtration system.
Rinse the filtration system with
water (no soap) and leave out
to dry.
Don’t store the water bottle
sealed shut unless all internal
parts have dried out.
Carbon Pouch Filter Membrane
Shelf Life When Not in Use:
3 years before first use
1 year after being used
One replacement carbon
pouch is included in your kit.

Let’s assume you are filling your 1 litre bottle twice a day
whilst travelling
Replace the carbon pouch every 100 litres = every 2 months
Replace the filter membrane every 1000 litres = every 16 months

Ultra Filtration Membrane
Water passes through the hollow
fibres of the ultra filtration membrane.
These hollow fibres have holes with an
aperture of 0.01 micron for maximum
filtration.
• Removes 99.95% of waterborne
bacteria, including coliforms
• Removes 99.97% of waterborne
protozoan parasites, including
Giardia & Cryptosporidium, and
virtually all heavy metals and viruses
• Lifetime: 264 gallons (1,000 litres)
for the hollow fibre membrane
Stage 2:
Activated Carbon Pouch
Water then passes through the
activated carbon pouch.
• Reduces chlorine
• Reduces the turbidity of water
• Reduces bad odor
• Reduces organic chemical matter
(pesticides, herbicides, VOC)
• Lifetime: 26 gallons (100 litres)
for the replaceable activated carbon
pouch
