CONNECTION
1. Connect the power cable (36) to the mains socket and
switch on the power switch at the front of unit.
When you first plug the unit into the mains, the unit will go
into standby mode.
2. Connect the speaker wire to the speaker terminal (34)
located on the back of the unit. Make sure you are
connecting the right cable correctly to the speaker terminal
(34).
3. The receiver has a build-in wire antenna which should
completely unravel and extended for best reception (35).
4. Now connect the power cable (36) to the mains socket and
switch on the power switch at the front of the unit (5).
When you first plug the unit into the mains, the unit will go
into standby mode.
5. Select “CD“function. If the LCD display (2) is on with
backlighting, it means the power supply is normal. Now the
system is ready to play music.
SETTING THE CLOCK
In standby mode, press and hold the “TIMER/CLOCK ADJUSTMENT” button (6). The display will show “ 12h
“ or “ 24h “, then press the PRE-UP (13) or PRE-DN (11) button to select the desired hour format (12 hour or
24 hour). Press the “TIMER/CLOCK ADJUSTMENT” button (6) to confirm.
Press PRE-UP (13) or PRE-DN (11) button to set the correct hour.
Press the SKIP (24) or SKIP (23) button to set the correct minutes.
Press ”TIMER/CLOCK ADJUSTMENT” button (6) to store the correct hour.
Note: The pre-set time will be reset completely if the unit is disconnected from the the mains power
supply. It is recommended to leave the system in standby mode for convenient usage.
LISTENING TO RADIO
MANUAL TUNING
Press “TUNER/BAND” button (14) and select the desired band (MW (AM) or FM).
Tune to the required station by pressing the tuning “+” or “-” button (23,24).
Adjust volume controls (22) to the desired volume level.
AUTO TUNING
Press ”TUNER/BAND” button (14) and select the desired band (MW (AM) or FM).
Press and hold the tuning “+” or “-” button (23,24) for 1-2 seconds and then release.
The unit will start searching automatically and stop when a radio station is found.
Repeat step 3 & 4 until the desired radio station is reached.
Adjust volume controls (22) to the desired volume level.
PRESET STATIONS
You can store up to total of 40 radio stations (30 FM, 10 AM) in the memory.
Set to radio mode.
Turn to the desired radio station using either manual or auto tuning method.

Press “ MEMORY ” button (8) to enable programming.
Press “ PRE-UP “ or “ PRE-DN” button (11,13) to select the desired station memory for storage.
Press “MEMORY ” button (8) again to confirm the setting.
Repeat step 2 to 5 to store other stations.
Press “PRE-UP” or “ PRE-DN” button (11,13) to select the pre-set stations in order.
To return to normal tuner mode, release keys.
NOTE: The pre-set memories will be cancelled completely if switching off the main power button on
system. You are recommended to switch the system into standby mode for convenience usage.
After 5 seconds program state will revert to normal tuner mode.
You can overwrite a pre-set station by storing another frequency in its place.
RADIO DATA SYSTEM (RDS)
This feature displays information including time, station identification and program information which is
released from FM radio broadcasts.
RDS MODE: press and hold to activate the RDS function and the program service station name (PS) is being
displayed.
RDS SEARCH: press to select the program type you want to listen to, then press the tuning +/- button to
start RDS searching to automatically detect a suitable station, which is currently broadcasting with program
type identification (PTY) signal.
REMARK: If no “PS “ or “ PTY “ is displayed no signal is sent from the station.
Programmes are classified as follows:
NEWS, AFFAIRS (current affairs), INFO (information), SPORT EDUCATE (education), DRAMA, CULTURE,
SCIENCE, VARIED, POP M (pop music), ROCK M (rock music), MOR M (middle of the road music), LIGHT M
(light classical), CLASSICS (serious classical), OTHER M (other music).
NOTES
PROGRAMME SERVICE STATION NAME (PS)
This is a name consisting of less than 8 alphanumeric characters, which is displayed in order to inform
listeners about the programme service being broadcast by the radio station. Example: BBC 1
PROGRAMME TYPE IDENTIFICATION (PTY)
PTY allows selection by one of the programme types rather than by a station.
RADIO TEXT (TEXT)
Information such as the cast list of a play or the title of a song is shown on the display.
CLOCK-TIMER (CT)
CT function provides an accurate clock signal.
If the clock of the system is not adjusted after plug in, when a RDS clock signal is received, the system will
automatically update the system clock to the RDS clock time received. The system clock is now adjusted.

FM & FM-STEREO RECEPTION (BY REMOTE HANDSET)
Press the “FM-ST/MONO” button at remote handset repeatedly to listen to FM programs in mono when
stereo signals are weak.
If stereo signal is being received, the “ST” indicator “” will appear on LCD (2) to show FM stereo
program is now receiving.
HINTS FOR BEST RECEPTION:-
AM: The receiver has a build-in AM bar antenna. If AM reception is weak, slightly rotate or re-position the
unit to improve AM reception.
FM: The receiver has a build-in FM wire antenna (35) hanging from the cabinet rear panel. This wire should
be completely unravelled and extended for best reception.
PHONO
NOTE:
Remove the stylus protector.
Be sure that the tone arm is being detached from the tone
arm rest before operating and re-secured again afterwards.
1. Switch to “PHONO” function from function selector (14)
2. Set the speed selector to the proper position depending on
the record to be played.
3. Place the record on the turntable (use the spindle adaptor
if required).
4. Lift the tone arm from the rest and slowly move it to the
record side. The turntable will start to rotate.
5. Place the tone arm to the desired position of the record.
6. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
7. At the end of the record, the turntable will automatically
stop rotating. Lift the tone arm from the record and return
it to the tone arm rest.
8. To stop manually, lift the tone arm from the record and
return it to the tone arm rest.
9. On some records the auto-stop area is out of the unit’s setting, so it will stop before the last track
finishes. In this case, set the auto-stop switch (35) to “OFF“ position. It will then run to the end of the
record but will not stop automatically (turn off the unit by power button or switch back the auto-stop
switch to “ON“ position to stop the turntable rotating). Then return the tone arm to the rest position.
10. If the sound becomes muffled you might have dust on your stylus. Just give it a quick blow.
PLAYING COMPACT DISC
GETTING STARTED
Press “CD” button (14).
Press “OPEN/CLOSE” button (28) to open the CD door.
Place a CD with the printed side facing up inside the tray.
Press the “ “ button (10) or “DISC-SKIP” button on the remote control to turn the CD tray, and load out
the other disc compartment.
Press the “OPEN/CLOSE” button (28) to close the CD door.

Whilst CD search is running, the LCD display (2) will show the total number of discs, number of tracks and
playing time of disc.
NOTE: CD searching will be performed every time when switching to CD mode or closing the CD door. All
CD functions will be resumed after the CD searching is completed.
PLAY / PAUSE MODE
1. Press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button (21) to start playback, the first track of the first disc will be played and
the play indicator will appear on the LCD display.
2. Or press either the “DISC 1” , “DISC 2” , “DISC 3” button (17), for the the disc inside the desired tray to
be played directly.
3. To interrupt, press the “PLAY/PAUSE” button once (21), and information on LCD display (2) will start
flashing. Press again to release and resume normal playback.
STOP MODE
1. If “STOP” button (20) is pressed during play or pause mode, system will go to stop mode.
SKIP MODE (SKIP UP /SKIP DOWN )
1. During play or pause mode, if “SKIP +” button (23) is pressed it will go to next track and display the
track number and then remain in play or pause mode.
2. During play or pause mode, if “SKIP -” button (24) is pressed it will go back to the beginning of the
track, the original track number is displayed and remain in play or pause mode.
3. After step 2, press “SKIP -” button (24) again will go to the previous track and remain in play or pause
mode.
SEARCH MODE (SEARCH UP /SEARCH DOWN )
1. During play mode, if “SEARCH +” button (23) is pressed and held for few seconds, it will start searching
forward.
2. During play mode, if “SEARCH -” button (24) is pressed and held for few seconds, it will start searching
backwards.
FOR MP3 DISC
1. Insert MP3 disc into CD player. After focus search has completed, the total number of tracks and
folders will be shown on the LCD display (2).
2. Press “PRE-UP“ (13) or “PRE-DN“(11) button to select the folder number.
3. Press “SKIP UP “ (23) or “SKIP DOWN “(24) button to select the track number.
4. When the desired track and folder is selected, press the CD “PLAY/PAUSE” button (21) to start
playback.
ID3 (TRACK/ALBUM TITLE) FUNCTION (BY REMOTE HANDSET)
Press the “DISPLAY“ button during playback of MP3 disc to display the song title. Press the “DISPLAY”
button again to disable the function.
REMARK:
- In case no name had been assigned to the track, “NO TITLE“ or “NO ARTIST“ is being displayed on display
(1).

- If the input format on the disc/memory card is not supported by the system no title/album name can be
recognized.
MP3 track format requirement:-
- Bit rate : 32 kbps~320kbps, sampling rate : 32khz, 44.1khz and 48 khz decodable
- The performance of playing MP3 disc varies depending on the quality of the recording disc and the
method of recording. Furthermore, the searching lead-time for MP3-CDs is longer than for normal CDs
due to different formats.
REPEAT/RANDOM MODE
Press the REPEAT/RANDOM button before or during playback, a single track, single disc or all the tracks can
be played in difference mode as follow:-

CD/MP3 DISC PROGRAMMING
Up to 40 tracks can be programmed for the disc to play in any order. Before use, be sure to press the “CD
STOP” button (20)

1. Set to CD mode and stop the CD playback.
2. Press the “MEMORY” button (8), “MEM“ will show on LCD display (2). Moreover, it will indicate
program number and digits for track number to be programmed.
3. Select a track by pressing skip up or down buttons (23,24).
(For MP3 disc, press PRE-UP or PRE-DN button (11,13) or select the desired folder)
4. Press the“MEMORY” button (8) to store the track into memory.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to enter additional tracks into the memory if necessary.
6. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press CD “PLAY/PAUSE” button (21) to play the
disc in the specified order.
7. Press “CD STOP” button (20) to terminate program play.
After the programme had completed, press “SKIP UP or DOWN ” button (23,24) to review the
tracks being programmed. Press “CD STOP“ button (20) to exit review mode.
Press “CD STOP“ button (20) in CD stop mode to cancel all tracks being programmed.
PLAYBACK OF MP3 SONG VIA USB STORAGE MEDIA OR MEMORY CARD
CONNECTING
The system is able to decode and playback all MP3 files stored in the memory media with USB connecting
port, multi-media card (MMC) or secure digital (SD) memory card.
Press Function button (14) CD/USB/SD repeatedly to select “USB” or “SD“ mode.
Plug-in the USB plug with the face up & make sure it goes in completely or insert the memory card in the
direction of the arrow as shown on the label on the underside of the memory card slot cover. Insert straight
without bending.
Connecting the USB/memory card upside down or backwards could damage the audio system or the
storage media (USB/memory card). Check to be sure the direction is correct before connection.
The system will start reading the storage media automatically after connecting, and LCD display (2) will
show the total number of MP3 files and total number of albums being detected.
Repeat the same playback procedure as playing CD/MP3 disc as above
REMARK:-
The system can detect and read files in MP3 format only though the USB port/memory card slot.
If connecting the system to an MP3 player via the USB socket, due to variances in MP3 encoding format,
some MP3 player may not be able to play via the USB socket. This is not a malfunction of the system.
The USB port does not support connection with a USB extension cable and is not designed for
communication with a computer directly.
ENCODING
Note: It is illegal to copy music to distribute it to others. Copying is for your personal use only.
ENCODING OF CD FILE INTO MP3 FILE
The system is able to encode a normal CD to MP3 format and record to memory media via the USB
connecting port, multi-media card (MMC) or secure digital (SD) memory card.

A) CD ENCODING
I) ENCODING 1 TRACK
1. Perform normal playback of the CD track you want to encode and record,
2. Press “REC“ button (25) during the playback of the desired track, unit will display “USB“ & “CARD“. (If
both sources are ready during recording). Then press SKIP UP or DOWN buttons (23,24) to
select and then press “REC“ button (25) to confirm.
3. The system will flash “USB” or “CARD” and “ “ when encoding is happening.
4. Press CD stop button (20) to terminate the recording.
II) ENCODING 1 ENTIRE DISC
1) Repeat the same procedures (1) to (3) as explained above until the system starting encoding of 1 track.
2) Then press the “REC“ button (25) again one more time and “ RIPPING ALL “ will display once.
3) After completion of encoding of the entire disc, unit will stop playback automatically.
REMARK:-
- The recording speed is 1:1 and according to the actual playing time of the CD track
- The system will create an “AUDIO“ folder and then store the encoded track in it.
- The recording format is pre-set at –MP3 bit rate : 128 kbps, sampling rate : 44.1khz
- No song title will be recorded during encoding mode.
- To interrupt the recording, press the “CD STOP“ button (20) during recording mode.
- Always insert either one type of memory media “USB DRIVE“ or “SD/MMC CARD“ for encoding.
- Recording will be completed only if the entire song has been encoded. If the recording is terminated
whilst in progress, no track will be recorded or stored to the USB or SD/MMC card
III) COPYING OF MP3 FILE
If inserting a MP3 disc instead of a CD-disc, the system will copy the files to the USB or SD/MMC card if the
“REC“ button (25) is pressed. The operation procedures is the same as for CD encoding as explained above,
and the system will switch to copying mode only if the MP3 file is being read.
Remark:
- The system will create a “FCOPY“ folder and then store all copied track in it.
- If the “REC“ button (25) is pressed during playback of USB or SD source, the file will copy from USB to
SD or SD to USB.
- Copying will be completed only if the entire song has been copied. If the copying process is
interrupted, there will be no track recorded nor stored to the USB or SD/MMC card
B) CASSETE ENCODING
Set the function button (14) to “TAPE“ mode and then press the “REC“ button (25) directly.
The LCD display (2) will flash the word “USB“ or “ CARD “ and “ “ when starting the encoding mode.
Start playback of cassette tape with the track you want to record.
After recording is finished, press the CD stop button (20) until the LCD stops flashing and return to “TAPE“
mode.

C) PHONO ENCODING
Press the function button (14) and set to “PHONO“ mode and then press the “REC“ button (25) directly.
The LCD display will flash the word “USB“ or “SD“and then display ““ “ and “ a after few seconds
when starting the encoding mode.
Start playback of the track which you want to record.
After recording is finished, press the “CD STOP“ button (20) until the LCD stops flashing and returns to
“PHONO “ mode.
D) TRACK SEPARATION (BY REMOTE HANDSET)
You can divide the music recordings from phono to USB/SD track by track during encoding by pressing the “
“ (track separation) button once on remote handset. The system will generate a new track and
continue the recording. Every time the the (track separation) button is pressed, “PHONO“ or “TAPE“
will flash once on the LCD display.
FILE DELETE AT USB / SD CARD (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
To erase files stored on the USB-Drive or SD Card:
A) SINGLE FILE DELETE (BY REMOTE CONTROL)
Press “DELETE“ button on the remote and the LCD display (2) will show (DEL ---001)
Press “SKIP FORWARD ”or “SKIP BACKWARD ” button (23,24) to select the file you want to delete.
Press the “ENTER“ button to enter “YES/NO“ mode and then press “SKIP FORWARD ”or “SKIP
BACKWARD “(23,24) to select “ Yes “ or “ No “.
Press the “ENTER“ button again to confirm the setting.
REMARK : Press “STOP” button to exit delete mode at any time
B) ALL FILES DELETE
Press “DELETE“ button twice and the LCD display (2) will show (FORMAT)
Press “SKIP FORWARD ”or “SKIP BACKWARD “(23,24) to select “Y“ (yes) or “N“ (no).
Press the “ENTER“ button again to confirm the setting.
REMARK :All the files on the USB storage media or SD card will be deleted completely after confirming
“YES“ mode.
REMOVING THE USB / MEMORY CARD
To remove the USB / memory card, turn off the power or switch the function mode to either CD, AUX or
TUNER. To eject the USB port –un-plug it by pulling out the USB socket directly, for memory card –press
the memory card inward and then release, the card will be partially ejected and you can remove it
manually.
LISTENING TO TAPE
GENERAL OPERATION
STOP/EJECT KEY
Press to stop all deck operation. Press again to open the cassette door.
FAST FORWARD KEY
Press to start rapid tape winding in either forward or reverse
REWIND KEY

Press to start playing tape.

Press to stop tape operation temporarily. Press again to resume play.

Press together with play key to start tape recording.

Put in the cassette tape.
Press play key to activate playback.
Adjust the volume control (22) to the desired level.
Use “PAUSE”key when you want to stop playback temporarily.
Press “STOP/EJECT”key when finished.
NOTES:
It is possible to play a cassette in both cassette players, one after the other. If you press the “PAUSE” and
“PLAY” (buttons together on deck 1 and then the “PLAY” button on deck 2. The tape in deck 1 will start
playing automatically after the tape in deck 2 has finished playing.
RECORDING
A. RECORDING FROM TAPE (DECK 2 TO DECK 1)
This unit enables you to duplicate a pre-recorded tape to another tape. This is done only one way from
deck 2 (playback) to deck 1 (recording).
DUBBING AT NORMAL SPEED
Press the “TAPE” function button(14) .
Insert a pre-recorded cassette into deck 2 and a blank cassette tape into deck 1.
Press the “PAUSE” key and then press the “RECORD” and “PLAY” key on deck 1.
Press the “PLAY” key to start playback on deck 2 and then press “PAUSE” key on deck 1 to start
dubbing.
Press “PAUSE” key on deck 1 and “STOP” key on deck 2 when finished.
DUBBING AT HIGH SPEED
This unit is equipped with a high speed dubbing system which can reduce dubbing time by 2/3 when
compared to normal speed.
Press the dubbing button (7) to “HI“ position and then follow the same procedures as described in
“Dubbing at normal speed”.
When dubbing a pre-recorded cassette tape at high speed, a chattering sound is being heard. To avoid
this, set the volume control to a minimum level.
Do not press or select the “DUBBING” button (7) to “HI” or “NOR”position during dubbing, as this will
vary the speed of recording and may damage the cassette tape.

B. RECORDING FROM RADIO
Press “TUNER” button (14) to active radio mode.
Tune to the desired station and insert a blank cassette tape in deck 1.
Press “RECORD” and “PLAY“ key to start recording.
Press “PAUSE” keys and then “STOP/EJECT” key when finished.
When recording of AM station, a beating whistle sound may occur. This is normal.
C. RECORDING FROM CD/USB/SD
Press the “CD/USB/SD” function button (14).
Insert a blank cassette tape in deck 1 which is suitable for recording.
Press “PAUSE” key first and then “RECORD” and “PLAY“ key. Recording function is now on stand by.
Start playback of either CD/USB/SD mode, and then press “PAUSE key” at cassette to start recording.
To stop recording, press “STOP” button (20) on CD/USB/SD mode first, then press the “PAUSE” key and
then “STOP/EJECT” key on cassette tape deck.
D. RECORDING FROM TURNTABLE
Press “PHONO” button (14) to activate turntable mode
Insert a blank cassette tape in deck 1.
Press “RECORD” & “PLAY“ key to start recording.
Select the desired record and start playback
Press “PAUSE” keys and then “STOP/EJECT” key when finished.
MORE FEATURES
A. Sleep setting (by remote control)
The sleep function enables the system to switch to standby mode automatically at a pre-set time.
1. Press “SLEEP/TIMER” button and sleep indicator “ZZZ” shown on the LCD display (2).
2. Keep pressing the button to adjust the sleep timer in the order of 90 > 75 >60….15 minutes.
3. System will stop and go into standby mode automatically after the selected timing.
4. To cancel the sleep mode, press “TIMER/SLEEP” button until “OFF” is displayed.
B. ALARM CLOCK SETTING
This function allows the system to turn on automatically and wake you up by CD, tuner, or USB/SD.
Set the system to STANDBY mode, then press and hold the “SLEEP/TIMER” button to enter Program Mode:-
1) Wake up mode: Press the function button CD/USB/SD or tuner directly, but make sure the music
source has been prepared (CD –load with disc / tuner –turn to the desired radio
station / USB/SD –connect a USB mass storage device or SD/MMC card with music
file inside)
2.) Wake up time: Press PRE-UP (13) or PRE DN (11) button to set the correct hour and press the SKIP
(24) or SKIP (23) button to set the correct minutes
3) Press “SLEEP/TIMER“ button to store the setting and the system will start playing when reach the pre-

set time.
REMARK
- If there is no disc inside the selected CD tray, the system will select the next available disc.
- If there is no music source being detected when the pre-set time is reached, system will select tuner
mode automatically.
ACTIVE/DE-ACTIVE TIMER FUNCTION
1. To activate timer function, press the “SLEEP/TIMER” button on remote handset until the timer indicator
“ ” appears on LCD display (2).
2. To cancel timer function, press again “SLEEP/TIMER” button until the timer indicator “ ” disappear.
C. PRE-SET EQ FUNCTION
This unit provides 5 different sound modes to enhance your listening experience. You can select the desired
effect by pressing the “PRE-SET EQ” button (19) repeatedly for the following sequence:-
