JUNIOR START UP & SHUT
DOWN PROCEDURES AND
SAFETY TIPS
START UP PROCEDURE.
1. Make sure operator is wearing the correct PPE.
2. Lock ut or Unplug the Machine.
3. Check the Blade by opening the top small blade cover. Ensure that there is a Blade
fitted and that it has enough Diamond life on it.
4. Inspect the machine to ensure that there are no obstructions in the Gulley.
5. Make sure the Carriage moves freely towards the operator and back again.
6. Unlock the Lock ut or plug the machine in.
7. Twist to release the Emergency Stop Button.
8. pen the Main Blade Cover slightly so that it comes off the limit switch
9. Press the Green Start Button. If the machine starts STOP all work and call an
electrician. If the machine does not start carry on to Step 10.
10. Close and lock the Main Blade Cover.
11. Press the Green Start Button, make sure the machine starts running then press in the
Red Emergency Stop Button. If the Machine does not Stop STOP all work and
call an electrician. If the machine does stop, carry on to Step 12.
12. Ensure main water tap is turned on.
13. Push Carriage to the back of the machine and insert a Core Guide with Core to be
cut.
14. Twist to release the Emergency Stop Button.
15. pen the Machine’s Tap and ensure water is flowing.
16. Press Green Start Button and begin cutting Core.
SHUT DOWN PROCEDURE.
1. Push the Red Stop Button.
2. Turn ff the Water at the Machine and at the Main Tap.
3. Make sure all Core Guide Boxes have been removed from the Machine.
4. Lock ut or Unplug the Machine.
5. Rinse off the Machine with a hose and wipe it clean using a soft cloth.

PLEASE NOTE:
Ensure the 4 Linear Bearings are oiled by using the oil gun once a week.
SAFETY TIPS
1. When Checking to see if the Machine has a Blade fitted and whether it has sufficient
Diamond Life – Make sure the machine is Locked ut and open the small blade cover.
2. To open the Big Blade Cover – Always make sure the machine is Locked ut and
remove the Core Height Adjustor by loosening the 2 Wing Nuts and loosen the
hosepipe before opening it.
3. Always Check that the Gulley is free from obstructions by opening the Big Blade
Cover.
4. When Changing Blades;
a. Always make sure that the Flanges are Clean.
b. Always fit a new blade with the name facing away from you.
c. Always make sure that the small hole in the blade fits over the Pin and the small
hole in the Washer fits over the Pin.
d. Always remember that Right is Tight and Left is Loose – Tighten the Nut to the
Right when fitting a new Blade and Loosen the Nut to the Left when removing a
Blade.
5. When Cutting Core – Always pull the machine to a maximum of 8 Amps on the amp
meter and try to keep a constant reading at all times.
