OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR
COREMATIC AUTOMATIC CORE SAW
All new Corematic Core Saws carry the following guarantees;
Five years on Frames, Covers and Side Panels.
Five years on Motors.
Two years on Drives.
One Year on Wear Parts i.e. Chain and Wear Strips.

personal with certificates anywhere in South Africa and Africa. Pricing

INSTALLATION
1. Loosen and remove the three screws as indicated in FIGURE 1 from the back end of the saw.
2. Line up the Core Tray with the three wholes and secure it with the screws removed in Step 1.
(FIGURE 2.) and (FIGURE 3.).
3. Connect Hosepipe to the Saw. (FIGURE 4.)
4. Connect the Drainage Hose supplied with the Saw to the Water Gulley. (FIGURE 5.)
5. Connect the machine to the Mains (380 - 415 Volts, Three Phase).
PLEASE NOTE:
IF THE MACHINE IS RUNNING FROM A GENERATOR, PLEASE INSURE THE
GENERATOR HAS AN AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR FITTED AND IS
WORKING PROPERLY, AS WARRANTY CONDITIONS WILL BECOME VOID IF NO
A.V.R IS USED.

START UP PROCEDURE
1. Turn the Mains on at the wall and on at the Lock Out Switch.
2. Turn Water on at the main tap, making sure the water is turned off at the Saw’s Tap.
3. Remove the Core Height Guide by loosening the Wing Nuts. (FIGURE 6.)
4. Pull out the Red Emergency Stop Button. (FIGURE 7.)
SAFETY CHECK
5. Press the Reset Button so that Reset Button Light is tuned off. (FIGURE 7.)
6. Loosen the Main Blade Cover Latch and Open the Main Blade Cover approximately
10mm and make sure that the Reset Button Light illuminates, if no light comes on
STOP work and call an Electrician. If the light illuminates carry on to step 7.

7. Close the Main Blade Cover and Tighten Main Blade Cover Latch.
8. Press the Reset Button so that Reset Button Light is tuned off. (FIGURE 7.)
9. Push the Limit switch Pin lightly, situated just in front of the Blade Cover, towards
the Blade Cover so that you hear a Click, if no light comes on STOP work and call
an Electrician. If the light illuminates carry on to step 10. (FIGURE 9.)
10. Replace the Core Height Guide, adjust it to suit Core being cut and tighten Wing
Nuts. (FIGURE 10.)
11. Inspect the Chain gully for any loose off cuts and obstructions. (FIGURE 11.)
START UP PROCEDURE CONTINUE
12. Turn Water on at the Saw’s tap, (make sure there is water spraying). (FIGURE 4.)
13. Press the Reset Button so that Reset Button Light is tuned off. (FIGURE 7.)
14. Press Green Start Button. (FIGURE 7.)
15. Place Core to be cut into Core Guide Box and Place it into the Gully. (FIGURE 12)
16. Switch Black Forward/Reverse Switch to Forward. (FIGURE 7.)
17. Three consecutive Core Guide Boxes can be used before the Core Tray at the Back End of
the Core Saw is full.

18. Switch Black Forward/Reverse Switch to Off. (FIGURE 7.)
19. Push the Red Stop Button. (FIGURE 7.)
20. Push the Red Emergency Stop Button In. (FIGURE 7.)
21. Turn Off the Water at the Machine and at the Main Tap. (FIGURE 4.)
22. Make sure all Core Guide Boxes have been removed from the Machine.
23. Turn off the Mains at the wall.
24. Rinse off the Machine with a hose and wipe it clean using a soft cloth.
CHANGING BLADES
25. Make sure the Shut Down Procedure has been carried out correctly.
26. Remove Core Height Guide as per Step Number 3.
27. Open the Main Blade Cover by releasing the Latch. (FIGURE 13.)
28. Remove the old Blade using a 30mm Spanner. (FIGURE 14.)
29. Clean paint out of the New Blade’s Blade Shaft Hole to ensure perfect fit on Shaft.
(FIGURE 15.)
30. Fit Blade on shaft and ensure Pin is fitted in hole on Blade. MAKE SURE THAT THE
BLADE DIRECTIONAL ARROW IS ON THE NON OPERATOR SIDE, (I.E. FACING
THE PULLEY). (FIGURE 16.)
31. Fit Blade Washer, taking note of the Pin hole. (FIGURE 17.)

32. Fit Blade Locking Nut. (FIGURE 18.)
33. Tighten Blade Locking Nut using the 30mm Spanner. (FIGURE 14.)
34. Close Blade Cover and Lock using the Latch. Then Replace Core Height Guide and Adjust
as per Step Number 10.

MAINTENANCE
1. Wash machine with water and soft cloth at the end of each shift.
2. Run Feed in Reverse and spray the Chain with Corematic Chain Lube.
3. We recommend servicing the Auto Core Saw at our factory once a year.
PLEASE NOTE:
Only COREMATIC Blades are to be used on
Corematic Saws. Warranty will become null and void
should Non Standard Blades be used!
