Nipple
AIR SUPPLY
Tools of this class operate on a wide range of air pressures.
Itisrecommendedthatairpressureofthesetoolsmeasures90PSI
atthetoolwhilerunningfree.Higherpressure(over90psig;6.2bar)
raisesperformancebeyondtheratedcapacityofthetool,whichwill
shortentoollifebecauseoffasterwearandcouldcauseinjury.
Always use clean, dry air. Dust, corrosive fumes and/or water in
theairlinewillcausedamagetothe tool.Draintheairtankdaily.
Cleantheairinletfilterscreenonatleasta weeklyschedule.The
recommended hookup procedure can be viewed in the above
figure.
Theairinletusedforconnectingairsupplyhasstandard1/4"NPT.
Linepressureshouldbeincreasedtocompensateforunusuallylong
airhoses(over 25feet).Minimum hosediametershouldbe 5/16"
I.D. and fittings should have the same inside dimensions and be
tightlysecured.
LUBRICATION
Lubricatetheairmotordailywithqualityairtooloil.Ifnoairlineoiler
isused,run1/2oz.ofoilthroughthetool.Theoilcanbesquirted
intothe toolair inletorintothehoseatthenearestconnectionto
theairsupply,thenrunthetool.Arustinhibitiveoilisacceptablefor
airtools.
WARNING:After anairtoolhasbeen lubricated,oil willdischarge
throughtheexhaustportduringthefirstfewsecondsofoperation.
Theexhaustportmustbecoveredwithatowelbeforeapplyingair
pressuretopreventseriousinjury.
OPERATION
Speedadjustmentisachievedthroughvariablepressureonthe
trigger.
Increasingthepressurewillincreasethespeedoftheblade.
To Change Blades:
1. Loosensetscrews(#33).
2. Insertblade(#46)intosawbladeholder(#41)andtighten.
3. Retightensetscrews.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Otherfactorsoutside the toolmaycause loss ofpower orerratic
action.Reducedcompressoroutput,excessivedrainontheairline,
moistureorrestrictionsinairpipesortheuseofhoseconnections
ofimpropersizeorpoorconditionsmayreduceairsupply.Gritor
gum deposits in the tool may cut power and may be corrected
by cleaning the air strainer and flushing out the tool with gum
solventoiloranequalmixtureofSAE#10andkerosene.Ifoutside
conditionsareinorder,disconnecttoolfromhoseandtaketoolto
yournearestauthorizedservicecenter.
WARRANTY
Cornwellwarrantsitsairtoolsforaperiodof1yeartotheconsumer.Wewillrepairanyairtoolcoveredunderthiswarrantywhichprovestobe
defectiveinmaterialorworkmanshipduringthewarrantyperiod.Inordertohaveyourtoolrepaired,returnthetooltoanyCornwellAuthorized
WarrantyCenter,freightprepaid.Pleaseincludeacopyofyourproofofpurchaseandabriefdescriptionoftheproblem.Thetoolwillbeinspected
andifanypartorpartsarefoundtobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship,theywillberepairedfreeofchargeandtherepairedtoolwillbe
returnedtoyoufreightprepaid.
Thiswarrantygivesyouspecificrights.Youmayalsohaveotherrightswhichvaryfromstatetostate.
TheforegoingobligationisCornwell’ssoleliabilityunderthisoranyimpliedwarrantyandundernocircumstancesshallCornwellbeliableforany
incidentalorconsequentialdamages.
Note:Somestatesdonotallowtheexclusionorlimitationofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,sotheabovelimitationorexclusionmaynot
applytoyou.
