INSTALLATION GUIDE
I’m Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat.
We will follow the instructions in this guide
to install your smart thermostat together.

WHERE SHOULD I PLACE IT?
You may use your Alarko by Cosa with the tabletop stand or attach it to a wall.
To attach it to a wall, you must rst remove the orange back cover as
shown on the next page, mount it on the wall and set the Alarko by Cosa
on top.
To accurately measure room temperature, the Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat
must not be placed in areas that receive direct sunlight all day, near radiators or
in places like doorways or oors. Moreover, the device must be placed at
least 50 cm and at most 150 cm o the ground.
HOW CAN I POWER ALARKO BY COSA?

I only have Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat.
A. If wireless internet is available where your heater
is located, you can connect the Wireless Heater
Control Unit to the internet and use the Alarko
by Cosa Smart Thermostat with batteries.
B.If wireless internet isn’t available where your
heater is located, you must power the Alarko by
Cosa smart Thermostat with the adapter.
You can power Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat
with adapter to connect to the internet.
I will use the Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat with my Wireless Heater Control Unit.

INSTALL BATTERIES OR
ADAPTER CABLE
The orange cover must be removed to
install batteries or install the adapter cable to
the Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat. .
VIEW THE
ROOM TEMPERATURE
Once your Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat is turned on,
you can press the button on top of the Alarko by Cosa to
view the room temperature.
To control your heater, you must connect your Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat to the
heater’s on/o-type thermostat connection.
If you have an on/o-type room thermostat already connected to your heater, you
can remove this cable extending from your boiler to your thermostat and connect
it to the Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat.
If you don’t have a thermostat connected to your heater, continue to the next page
for installation instructions.

HEATER INSTALLATION
To connect the Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat
to your heater, you must rst ensure that both
electricity and gas are turned o. Consult
your heater’s user manual or authorized
technical service to install the room
thermostat connection cable to your heater.
HEATER INSTALLATION
Once the cable is installed to the heater,
connect the other end to terminals 1 and 2
located on Alarko by Cosa’s orange cover and
place the device back onto the cover.
To test the connection between the Alarko by
Cosa Smart Thermostat and the heater, press the
button on top of the Alarko by Cosa Smart
Thermostat. Once you see the room temperature
on screen, you can use the touch buttons to the
left and right to signicantly increase or lower the
target room temperature. Observe whether the
heater starts working or turns o to ensure that
the device is properly connected.

You have completed the necessary steps to install your Alarko by Cosa Smart Thermostat Heating
Control. Now, all you have to do is download the Cosa app on your mobile phone and follow
the instructions.
In order to make a wireless connection to your boiler from your smart thermostat, it is necessary to
install the Alarko by Cosa Wireless Heater Control Unit. If you did not purchased it, you can contact
your authorized Alarko by Cosa dealer.
