SETUP AND USE
2. Pour your desired amount of water into the
water reservoir, using the water level
indicator located in the window on the side
of the coffeemaker.
4. Set preferences. Select 1-4 cups, Bold, or
regular strength, and/or Low, Medium or
High warming plate temps as desired. Set
ready tone to “on” or “off.”
3. Insert a permanent gold-tone filter OR #4
paper filter into the filter basket holder.
Using the scoop provided, add 1 scoop of
ground coffee per cup. Adjust the amount
to taste and close the lid.
5. To brew coffee, press the BREW/OFF
button. If the ready tone is set to “on”, it
will beep 5 times when the brewing
process is complete.
Fully immerse the charcoal water filter in
cold tap water and soak for 15 minutes
(see complete instructions on page 7 of your
Instruction Booklet). Insert the filter into the
water filter holder. Open the water reservoir
and slide into the unit.

To program the AUTO ON:
Press and hold the PROG/AUTO ON
button for 2 seconds. The display will flash
the default time or previously selected time.
Follow directions under Step1: “To set the time”, to
program your start-brew time. After 5 seconds, the unit
will exit Auto On. When Auto On indicator is lit, Auto On
is activated. To deactivate, press the AUTO ON button
again. The illuminated light will turn off.

4. Set ready tone and/or carafe
temp: Ready Tone: The ready tone beeps
5 times when coffee is finished. To turn it
off press the Tone button and an icon will
appear in the display. Press the Tone
button again to turn the ready tone on and
the icon will disappear. Carafe Temp: To
change the carafe temp, press the Carafe
Temp button to the desired temperature.
The selection will appear in the display.
3. Set coffee strength and or 1-4
cup setting: Coffee Strength: For bold
strength press the Bold button and the light
will illuminate. For regular strength, press the
Bold button again and the light will turn off.
1-4 Cups: When brewing 4 cups or less
press the 1-4 button and the light will
illuminate. Press the 1-4 button again when
brewing more than 4 cups and the light
will turn off.
5. To program the AUTO OFF: Press
and hold the BREW OFF/AUTO OFF button for
2 seconds. The digital display will flash 2:00
or the previously selected time. Follow
directions under “Step 1: To set the time” to
program your coffeemaker to shut off from
0-4 hours after brew cycle is finished.
To set the time: Hold down Hour or
Minute button until the clock begins flashing.
Press either button to select the desired time.
When the number displayed approaches the
desired time, press and release to advance one digit
at a time. To complete clock setting do not touch
buttons for 5 seconds. The clock will stop flashing and
selected time will be displayed.
