IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When operating this electric appliance, basic safety instructions should always
be followed. Refer to the following for these instructions
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
2. Keep children away from the machine when in use.
3. Never operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or one that has
malfunctioned or been damaged in any way. If necessary, immediately
contact Customer Service for assistance.
4. The kettle should not be used with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
5. Operate the appliance on a level surface well away from any hot gas or
electrical burner, heat source, combustible spray cans or pressurized items.
6. To avoid injury or death from electrical shock, do not operate the machine
with wet hands, while standing on a wet surface or while standing in water.
Also, do not use the machine outdoors or in wet conditions.
7. Do not immerse the machine directly in water to clean.
8. Do not ll the water to higher than the maximum water level.
9. When lling the kettle, make sure it is not plugged in to an electrical outlet.
10. Make sure the lid is closed before boiling water. Do not open the lid until the
boiling is nished.
11. Make sure the power to the kettle is turned o before removing the base.
12. When not in use, unplug the kettle.
13. Only use the base that accompanied the kettle.
14. This machine is for household use only. Any other use will void the warranty.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
OPERATION FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove all packaging, stickers or accessories from both the inside and
outside of the kettle.
2. Adjust the length of the cord by winding it under the base. Wedge the cord
into the notch.
USE
1. Open the lid of the kettle, add water and close the lid.
Note: You must add at least enough water to go above the Min level but less
than the Max level.
2. Plug the base into the electrical outlet and place the lled kettle onto the
base.
3. Press the switch down. The kettle begins the boiling process and will
automatically switch o when the water is nished boiling.

CLEANING YOUR KETTLE
• Before cleaning the kettle, make sure it is unplugged.
• Let it cool down and clean it with a damp sponge.
• Never immerse the kettle, its base, the cord or the electric plug in water: the
electrical connections or the switch must not come into contact with water.
• Do not use scouring pads.
To remove the anti-scale lter, lift the kettle o its base and allow to cool. Never
remove the lter when the appliance is full of hot water.
DESCALING
To keep the kettle working well, you should descale regularly, preferably at least
once a month or more frequently if your water is very hard.
There are three dierent ways you can descale your kettle:
Using white vinegar:
1. Fill the kettle with 2 cups of vinegar.
2. Let the vinegar soak in the kettle for 1 hour. Do not turn on the kettle during
this time.
3. Pour out the liquid and rinse 5 or 6 times.
Using citric acid:
1. Boil 2 cups of water in the kettle.
2. Add 5 teaspoons of citric acid and let it soak for 15 minutes.
3. Pour out the liquid and rinse 5 or 6 times.
Using a descaler:
1. Use a descaler specically for plastic kettles and follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
2. Empty your kettle and rinse 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.

This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date of purchase. It is
applicable to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third
party user. Repair or replacement of defective parts is solely at the seller’s
discretion. In the event that repair isn’t possible, the seller will replace the
product/part. If product repair/replacement won’t suce, the seller has the
option of refunding the cash value of the product or component returned.
Product defects not covered under the Warranty provisions include normal
wear and damage incurred from use or accidental negligence, misuse of
instruction specications or repair by unauthorized parties. The manufacturing

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem: The kettle does not work or stops before coming to the boil.
Possible Causes:
• Check that your kettle is properly connected.
• The kettle has been switched on without water.
• An accumulation of scale has caused the overheat cut-out to operate:
Solutions:
• Allow the kettle to cool for at least 15 minutes and ll it with water.
• Descale rst if scale has accumulated.
• Switch the kettle on. ·
Problem: The water tastes of plastic.
Possible Cause:
Generally, this happens when the kettle is new.
Solutions:
• Boil and discard water four or ve times before using the water to drink.
• If the problem persists, ll the kettle to maximum and add two teaspoons of
baking soda. Bring to a boil and descale the water. Rinse the kettle thoroughly.
Problem: The kettle has been dropped, it leaks, or there is damage to the
power cord, plug, or base of the kettle.
Solutions:
• Do not use the kettle. No attempt must be made to dismantle the kettle or
its safety devices.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
after-sales service center or a similarly qualied person, in order to avoid any
danger.
• Return your kettle to your local After-Sales Service Center; only they are
authorized to carry out repairs. See the guarantee conditions and list of
centers in the booklet supplied with your kettle. The type and serial number
are shown on the bottom of your kettle. This guarantee covers manufacturing
defects and domestic use only. Any breakage or damage resulting from failure
to comply with the instructions for use is not covered by the guarantee.
