Thank you for choosing the Club! In this manual you will nd a description of the Club and a number of tips
for using the Club.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
USE THE CLUB SENSIBLY
The Club is intended to improve understanding of conversations in situations in which this is impeded by surrounding noise.
The Club can also be used to amplify sound, for example in the theatre or at home when watching the television.
The Club contains very small components. To avoid the risk of choking please keep the Club out of the reach of small children.
DO NOT SET THE SOUND LEVEL TOO HIGH
The Club is not recommended for use in extremely noisy environments.
• Set the sound level so that it is just high enough for good understanding.
• Ringing in the ears may indicate that the sound level is set too high. Lower the sound level.
HEALTH
‘Creaties in Techniek’ recommend that you have your ears examined regularly by a qualied audiologist.
If you experience any of the following then stop using the Club until an audiologist has examined your ears:
• doubts about the deterioration of your hearing;
• considerable deterioration of your hearing;
• excessive build up of earwax;
• hypersensitivity or allergic reactions;
• infections.
HYGIENE
Keep the Club clean. For personal hygiene reasons do not share the Club with other people. Clean the earplugs using an antiseptic solution before and
after use in order to prevent infections.
TRAFFIC SAFETY
Due to the sound insulating action of the earplugs it is not recommended to use the Club when you are in trafc or in any other situation in which
insulation from surrounding sound may result in dangerous situations.
INTERFERENCE
In principle the Club can be affected by strong interference signals.
Do not use the Club and your mobile phone with the same ear.
PROFESSIONAL MAINTENANCE
Only allow your device to be serviced by authorised service personnel.
GUARANTEE
The Club benets from a full 1 year guarantee. If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee then please return the Club to your supplier, together
with the original purchase receipt.
The guarantee excludes:
• damage caused by improper or careless use;
• damage resulting from maintenance or repairs undertaken by unauthorised persons.
HOW TO USE THE CLUB:
Open the aluminium storage case and remove the Club from the foam. The Club only has
one control knob which means that it is very easy to use. This knob provides the on/off
and volume control functions. To turn the Club on, gently turn the knob forward until you
feel a faint click. To increase the volume, gently turn the knob further forward until the
required volume is reached.
To switch the Club off, turn the knob back until you feel a faint click. It will not be possible
to turn the knob any further and the Club will be switched off.
Hand-held operation
Connect the headset or alternative accessory that has been supplied. The required
directional working of the Club will be achieved by pointing the microphone array
longitudinally in the direction of the required sound source. Make sure that the sound
apertures are not covered by your ngers.
Using the table stand
Connect the headset or alternative accessory that has been supplied. The required
directional working of the Club will be achieved by placing the Club in the rubber stand
and then turning it to point it in the direction of the required sound source.
Using the rubber ear clip
Slide the rubber ear clip over the array, as shown in the picture. Insert the small plug into
the Club output socket. Place the entire unit on your ear so that the rubber clip is behind
your ear and the earplug is inside your ear. Practicing in front of a mirror will make this
easier. The required sound source will be amplied when you face towards it. If a whistle /
acoustic feedback occurs then insert the earplug further into your ear or lower the volume
slightly. Use one of the 3 transparant earpieces and adjust the earrubber to your comfort.
Using induction hooks and Direct Input (DI)
The Club can be connected to the majority of Behind-The-Ear hearing aids. This inductive
connection can be achieved by using induction hooks, whereby the hearing aids are in
the T-mode. You then place the induction hooks over your ears, next to your hearing aids.
The Club can then be held in your hand or placed in the table stand. To use the hearing
aid Direct Input you will need to purchase a connector cable for your hearing aid from the
manufacturer. The connection is made using a 3.5 mm jack plug on the other end of the
cable. Please contact us if in doubt.
Changing the batteries
The Club is tted with a battery indicator – the white lamp on top of the device. This
lamp illuminates orange / red as soon as the batteries are almost at. Use 2 x zinc-air
batteries, type 13, and remove the small stickers. Place these in the correct position in
the holder. The holder must be closed carefully. If you feel resistance when doing this see
if something is in the way and then retry. Please contact us if in doubt. If you only use
the Club occasionally then we recommend that you use silver oxide batteries, type 309.
These batteries do not go at when not in use, however, they are more expensive and
have less capacity.
Maintenance
The Club is an advanced device that has been designed and produced with care. Please
handle it with care. The tips below will help you continue to benet from the guarantee and
have many years of enjoyment from this product.
• Keep the device and all parts and accessories out of the reach of children.
• Keep the device dry. Rain, moisture and liquids can cause the electronic circuits to
corrode.
• Do not use or store the device in dusty or dirty locations. Dust can build up and reduce
performance.
• Do not store the device in locations that are hot or cold. These temperatures can reduce
the life of the electronic circuits.
• Do not attempt to open up the device.
• Do not drop the device and avoid knocks and excessive shaking.
• Do not use any aggressive chemicals, solvents or cleaning agents when cleaning the
device. Clean the device using a soft cloth, lightly moistened with a solution of water and
soap.

This is a directional microphone that can be used in a variety of ways by using the accessories supplied. This
model is mainly intended for older people who, in many cases, will already be using a hearing aid. These people
often have major difculties understanding speech and want to have the best possible solution. Induction units are
available which allow the product to be easily connected to a hearing aid.
