Your IMPACT earing instrument
includes e2e (ear-to-ear) wireless™
tec nology. T e wireless functionality:
Automatically adjusts bot earing
instruments simultaneously to adapt
to different listening situations
Provides sync ronisation of t e
earing instrument settings. If you
c ange t e volume or program on
one instrument, t e ot er is
automatically c anged
Your NHS Audiologist can activate t e
wireless functionality of your earing
instruments.
NOTICE
T e performance of t e e2e
wireless system could be affected by
electro-magnetic interference, suc as
computer monitors or alogen lamp
systems controlled by a switc ing
power supply. Move away from t e
source of interference if you
experience difficulty.
It is possib e to connect audio
accessories through an audio shoe.
Ask your NHS Audiologist for details.
Fitting
Before t e audio s oe can be connected
to t e earing instrument t e following
steps ave to be fulfilled:
Open t e battery compartment
Open t e audio s oe cover
Close t e battery compartment
Attaching the audio shoe
Take t e audio s oe
and ook t e two nibs
into t e small recesses
of t e earing
instrument ousing.
Slide t e audio s oe to
t e inner side of t e
earing instruments
ousing until it snaps
into t e end position.
Fitting the audio shoe to
the hearing instrument
Removing the audio shoe
To remove t e audio
s oe, slide it in t e
opposite direction.
Wit t e connected audio s oe, t e
battery compartment switc is
disabled and t e earing instrument
can only be switc ed off wit t e
pus button.

Your IMPACT earing instrument is
fully automatic. T ere is no need to
manually adjust t e volume control.
However, if you prefer manual
volume control, your IMPACT earing
instrument can be programmed for
manual adjustment. T is will be
done by your NHS audiologist.
If your system is
programmed for
manual adjustment,
t e w eel-s aped
volume control can
be rotated up
(louder) or down
(softer) to select
t e desired
listening volume.

To increase volume, place your
index finger gently against t e
volume control w eel and rotate it
upward. If your system is equipped
wit a warning tone for volume
control limits, once it is eard,
adjusting t e volume control furt er
in t at direction will ave no effect.
To reduce t e volume, rotate t e
w eel in t e opposite direction.

Your earing instrument may be
programmed to inform you w en t e
battery s ould be replaced for best
system performance. You may ear an
intermittent series of beeps and/or
experience low amplification power or
volume. C ange t e battery w en
eit er of t ese occur.

program button. Eac time t e button
is pressed t e instrument c anges to

Your earing instrument may be
equipped wit a “power-on delay”
feature.
T is feature delays sound from entering
your earing instrument w en it is first
turned on, so t at you may insert t e
earing instrument into your ear
wit out experiencing unpleasant
feedback (w istling).
On/Off using the program button

Your IMPACT earing
instrument can also
be programmed by
your NHS Audiologist
to be turned on and
off using t e program
button.
To turn your earing instrument off,
press and old t e program button for
approximately 3 seconds. To turn your
earing instrument on again, press and
old t e program button for
approximately 3 seconds. Please note
t at w en you turn your earing
instrument off using t e program
button, you must wait approximately 10
seconds for t e instrument to reset
before turning it back on using t e
program button.
