Creative Playthings®
Please read the owner’s manual before assembling your play set.
It provides additional information on the care and use of your play set. You must
carefully read the entire instruction manual before proceeding with the assembly
or use of your new play set.
Creative Playthings takes great care to design its products with your child’s safety
in mind. However, only with careful supervision and proper safety instructions,
can you be assured of safe play time on any product designed for children.
This product is intended for single family home/residential use only and
not intended for use in any public setting. Placement in any public setting
constitutes a misuse of this product.

PLAYSET SAFETY
Observing the following statements & warnings reduces the likelihood of serious or fatal injury:
• Children should use equipment only in its intended manner.
• Children should not wear loose or stringed clothing while using playground equipment.
• Children should not play on equipment in wet weather conditions due to potentially slippery surfaces.
• Children should NOT walk too closely in front of, behind, or between moving swings and trapezes.
• Children should NOT swing empty swing seats.
• Children should NOT jump off swings and/or trapeze while they are in motion.
• Children should NOT twist swing chains because this will weaken and reduce the strength of the chains.
• Children should sit in the center of the swings with their full weight on the seats.
• Children should NOT be on the top surface of the swing beam.
• Children should NOT use the equipment in a manner other than intended.
• Children should NOT get off the equipment while it is in motion.
• On-site adult supervision is required at all times for children of all ages.
• Until assembly is complete, DO NOT let your children use the Play Set.
• Never fasten anything not approved by Creative Playthings to your Play Set. Accessories or items not ap-
proved by Creative Playthings include; Dog runs, clothes lines, electrical devices, or bird feeders etc.
• Suspended ropes, chains, and cables must be secured at both ends.
• Suspended ropes, chains, and cables must not be capable of looping back on themselves.
• Do not allow more than 120 lbs. on Single occupancy swing accessories such as the Sling Swing and Trapeze.
• Do NOT allow more than 175 lbs. on multiple use swing accessories such as the Back-to-Back Plastic Glider.
• Do NOT allow more children on the Play Set than can simultaneously use all the swing stations at one time.
• Children MUST NEVER wear bicycle helmets while playing on the play-set.
Assembly Safety:
• Adult assembly required
• Face slide away from the sun.
• Keep the work area clean and clear of obstructions.
• Children should stay out of the work area until the safe play area is cleared of obstacles, the Play Set has been
completely assembled, all hardware has been tightened and checked, and all tools have been picked up.
• Keep children off the Play Set until it has been completely assembled.
• Parts of the assembly process may require help from another competent adult.
• Do not stand on the platform until the Play Set has been completely assembled, use a step ladder if you can
not reach high enough.
• Follow the manufacturers' safety recommendations for the tools and equipment you use.
• Avoid assembling your Play Set in poor weather conditions.
• Wear proper clothing and safety equipment (safety glasses, boots, and gloves) while assembling your Play Set.

SAFE PLAY AREA
SELECTING THE CORRECT LOCATION FOR YOUR PLAY PRODUCT IS IMPORTANT FOR
YOUR CHILDREN’S SAFETY AND THE PRODUCT’S LONGEVITY.
Playset Dimensions:
• The Norfolk II gym has ground dimensions of 11'-8" x 6'-6".
• The Norfolk II play set requires a level ground surface of 13'-8" x 18'-6' for a Safe Play Area
• Additional accessories such as slide or swing beam may increase the size of the Safe Play Area.
• The maximum fall height for your play set is 87-1/2" as measured from the top of a 7 ft Swing Beam.
Safe Play Area:
• The Safe Play Area refers to a zone extending 6' (2 meters) beyond the Playset on all sides, including the slide
and the space above the Playset. Because children may deliberately jump from a moving swing, the Safe Play
Area must be extended to 14' (4.27 meters) in front of and behind a swinging Accessory.
• The ground surface must be level. Installing your Playset on sloping ground can cause it to lean or “rack”. This
leaning puts additional stress on all connections and joints and in time will cause those connections to loosen
and fail.
• The Safe Play Area must be free of all structures, landscaping, trees and branches, rocks, wires, and other
obstacles to safe play. Children can be seriously injured running, or swinging into these obstacles.
• Remove all tripping hazards from the Safe Play Area. Tripping hazards include; roots, stumps, rocks, landscap-
ing, sprinkler heads, railroad ties, plumbing and electrical connections.
• Do not install your Playset over concrete, gravel, asphalt, packed earth, or any other hard surface. The follow-
ing is a list of recommended ground covers from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

CREATIVE PLAYTHINGS PLAY SETS USE A FEW STANDARD CONNECTIONS. BECOME FAMILIAR WITH
THESE CONNECTIONS TO EASE ASSEMBLY AND ENSURE A SAFER PLAY PRODUCT FOR YOUR CHILDREN.
Hex Bolt & Weld Nut Assembly Procedure:
Assembly Layout:
Align the holes in the parts to be fastened. Start
preliminary tightening of bolt into weld nut by
hand. Tighten each bolt with a wrench until the
lock washer is fully compressed between the
head of the bolt and the at washer.
Correct Assembly:
Bolt has been screwed securely into weld nut
and the connection is tight. Check connec-
tions periodically for tightness during the life
of the Playset . Do not over tighten.
Incorrect Assembly:
During assembly or maintenance the bolt pro-
trudes 1/8" past the weld nut. Call customer
service or replace the bolt at a local hardware
store. You may be overtightening or using the
wrong size bolt.
Failure to replace this bolt with a shorter
one could result in serious injury.
Typical Installation - Lag Screws:
• Pilot drill with the appropriate
diameter drill bit and then use
a socket to tighten.
• DO NOT over tighten
Typical Installation - Wood Screws:
• Use an electric drill or screw gun to drive screws.
• Drill 1/8" pilot holes where required.
• We recommend that you lubricate the
threads of the screws with beeswax or
soap to ease installation and minimize
breaking screws.
• It is very important to make certain
that the tops of all screws are ush
with the surface of the wood and
there are no protruding sharp edges.

This gym comes standard with no Swing Mounts. One Swing Mount
is needed to attach a 7 Ft Beam to the gym. A Swing Mount is not
needed for a 9 Ft Swing Beam.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
YOUR CREATIVE PLAYTHINGS PLAY SET IS STAINED AT OUR FACTORY.
STAINING IS NOT NEEDED AT THE TIME OF INITIAL ASSEMBLY.
Re-staining Information:
• Pigmented, exterior, water repellent stains are recommended and will provide an excellent barrier against moisture
without hiding the natural wood grain or leaving a lm that may later crack or peel.
• We recommend that you apply stain according to the instructions and precautions recommended by the stain manufacturer.
• It should take three or more quarts to cover your set.
• Contact your local dealer or call Creative Playthings for our staining products.
• All rungs are pre-nished at the factory and do not require any nishing at the time of initial assembly.
• Do not paint, or varnish rungs or steps.
• Avoid using nishes that create slippery surfaces.
Maintenance:
• Wooden playground equipment will last for years with proper maintenance. Maintenance of the Playset nish will vary
depending on weather climate.
• As a safety precaution, check all hardware, such as nuts and bolts, for tightness twice a month during use and at the
beginning of each play season. Tighten as required and specied in these instructions. Do not over-tighten.
• Check structure twice monthly during usage for any evidence of deterioration. If upon inspection, hardware has sharp edges,
rusted or structural pieces have signs of premature failure; replace them through Creative Playthings Customer Service.
• Oil all metallic moving parts monthly during the usage season.
• The swings, trapeze, tent, rope ladders, and any other removable plastic accessories should be removed and taken
indoors when outside temperatures drop below 32° F (0° C).
• Wood will expand and contract as it adjusts to temperature changes and varying moisture conditions. Checks or cracks
are a natural characteristic of all wood and will not affect the strength or durability of the wooden components.
• To maintain the nish of your set, a light sanding and an application of an exterior stain will repair scratches and prevent
wood from aging prematurely.
• Finishes applied to ladder rungs must not create a slippery surface.
• The wood parts of your Playset should never be disposed of by burning.
• Dispose of all parts so as not to create a hazard.
• "Check all coverings for bolts and sharp edges and replace when required."
• "Check swing seats, chains, ropes, and other means of of attachments for evidence of deterioration". Replace through
Creative Playthings Customer Service.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1 – Platform Frame:
Locate the Cargo Platform End (GG), Step Platform End
(HH), and the two Inside Beams (N). Lay them out as shown
at right. Orient the Inside Beams with the larger holes nearer
the bottom. Orient the Platform Ends so the holes in the ends
of the boards are near the top. Make sure the other holes
in the Platform Ends are aligned as shown.
Use four 5/16 x 4-1/2" Lag Screws with four
5/16" Flat Washers to fasten the Step
Platform End to the right of the Inside
Beams. Fasten the Cargo Platform
End using two 5/16 x 4-1/2"
Lag Screws with two 5/16"
Flat Washers on the bottom
holes only. Do not fasten
the top holes.
STEP 2 – Stringers:
Fasten the Stringer (H) to each Platform End
in the position shown using one 5/16 x 3-1/2"
Lag Screw and Flat Washer in each end. The
wide surface of the Stringer should be ush
with the top of the Platform Ends.
Fasten the Tire Stringer (I) to each Platform
End nearer the front of the gym in the posi-
tion shown using one 5/16 x 3-1/2" Lag Screw
and Flat Washer in each end. The surface
with the larger holes should be ush with the
top of the Platform Ends.

STEP 3 – Top Climber Block:
Align the holes in the Top Climber Block (R) to the holes
in the Cargo Platform End in the position shown. Join the
Top Climber Block, the Cargo Platform End, and the In-
side Beams using one 5/16 x 5-1/2" Lag Screw and Flat
Washer in each end. Secure the middle of the Climber
Block with three #8 x 1-5/8" Screws.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Fasten a Corner Post (G) to the Main Beam and platform frame at
all four corners. Use 3/8 x 5-1/2" Hex Bolt Assemblies in the lowest
holes, 5/16 x 5-1/2" Hex Bolt Assemblies in the middle holes and
3/8 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies in the top holes. Do not fully tighten
these fasteners until after installing the legs of the tower in later
steps.
STEP 5 – End Supports:
Fasten the End Rope Support (F) to the Posts on the right
side of the gym using four 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies.
Fasten the End Support (E) to the Posts on the left side
of the gym using four 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies. Note
the position of the rope hole in the End Rope Support. The
hole should be closest to the front of the gym.

STEP 4 – Main Beam & Posts:
Fasten the center of one Main Beam (O) and
Center Block (W) to the front of the Inside
Beam using two 5/16 x 5-1/2" Hex Bolt As-
semblies*. Repeat with the other Main Beam
and Center Block at the back of the platform
frame.
* Note: a Hex Bolt Assembly consists of one Hex
Bolt passing through one Lock Washer and one Flat
Washer, threaded into one Weld Nut.

STEP 6 – Front & Back Supports:
Fasten one Front & Back Support (D) to the front Posts us-
ing four 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies. Repeat with the other
Front & Back Support at the back of the assembly.

STEP 7 – Weld Nuts on Back:
Insert four 3/8" Weld Nuts into the Main Beam at
the back of the assembly in the positions shown.
Make sure the threads inside the Weld Nuts are
clear as it may be hard to access the Weld Nuts
later.
STEP 8 – Tip onto Back:
With the help of another person, gently tip the assembly onto its
back, with the Weld Nuts facing the ground.

STEP 9 – Step Leg:
Slide the Step Leg (X) into place between the
back Main Beam and the back Inside Beam
as shown. Place the angled face of the leg
ush to the back right Post and align the holes
with the holes in the Main Beam.
Fasten the Step Leg to the back Main Beam
with 3/8 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies using the
Weld Nuts inserted previously.
STEP 10 – Rock Base Rail:
Fasten the Rock Base Rail (C) to the Step
Leg as shown, using two 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt
Assemblies.
STEP 11 – Right Front Leg:
Slide one Left Leg (AA) into place between
the front Main Beam and the front Inside
Beam as shown. Place the angled face of the
leg ush to the front right Post and align the
holes with the holes in the Main Beam. The
counter-bored holes should face down.
Fasten the Leg to the back Main Beam with
3/8 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies.
Fasten the Leg to the Rock Base Rail
as shown, using two 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt
Assemblies. Tighten and hammer so the
Weld Nuts are ush with surface of this Leg.

STEP 13 – Cargo Base Rail:
Fasten the Cargo Base Rail (B) to the back
left Leg as shown, using two 5/16 x 4" Hex
Bolt Assemblies.
STEP 14 – Left Front Leg:
Slide the Right Leg (BB) into place between
the front Main Beam and the front Inside
Beam as shown. Place the angled face of the
leg ush to the front left Post and align the
holes with the holes in the Main Beam.
Fasten the Right Leg to the front Main Beam
with 3/8 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies.
Fasten the Leg to the Cargo Base Rail
as shown, using two 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt
Assemblies.
STEP 12 – Left Back Leg:
Slide Left Leg (AA) into place between the
back Main Beam and the back Inside Beam
as shown. Place the angled face of the leg
ush to the back left Post and align the holes

STEP 16 – Fasten Beam to Platform Frame:
Make sure the tower is in place, solidly set into the ground.
Check to make sure the Posts are plumb and the platform is
level. Make sure the angled ends of the legs rest at against
the posts.
Fasten each end of the Main Beams to the Platform Ends
using 3/8 x 7" Lag Screws and 3/8" Flat Washers.
Tighten all fasteners securing the
Beams to the Posts.
STEP 17 – Legs to Posts:
Use a 5/16" diameter drill to bore pilot holes into the
Posts where the holes in the legs meet the posts. Fasten
the Legs to the Posts using 3/8 x 5" Lag Screws and 3/8"
Flat Washers.

STEP 15 – Lift Upright:
With the help of others, gently lift the assembly upright onto
its legs. Move the tower to the nal placement.

STEP 20 – Step Support:
Fasten the top of the Step Support (Y) to the Platform End
using one 5/16 x 3" Hex Bolt Assembly.
Fasten the bottom of the Step Support to the Base Rail using
one 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt Assembly.
Leave the fasteners very loose to ease insertion of the Steps.
STEP 18 – Side Supports:
Loosely fasten one Side Support (FF) to the
Rock Base Rail using one 5/16 x 2" Hex Bolt
Assembly through one hole.
Swing the Side Support to rest against the
side of the Leg. Mark and drill a 1/4" diameter
pilot hole into the Leg.
Add another 5/16 x 2" Hex Bolt Assembly to
the Side Support and Base Rail. Use a 5/16 x
3-1/2" Lag Screw with a 5/16" Flat Washer to
secure the Side Support to the Leg. Tighten
all fasteners.
Repeat with the other Side Support on the
other side of the gym.

STEP 21 – Steps:
Slide the Plastic Steps (K) into the Slots in the Step Support
and the Step Leg. Make the bottom front edge of each Step
even with the face of the Step Support and Step Leg.
Fasten the Steps to the Step Support using two
#10 x 4-1/2" Screws each. Fasten the Steps to
the Step Leg using two #10 x 4-1/2" Screws
each.
Tighten the fasteners connecting the Step Sup-
port to the Platform End and Base Rail. For the
Base Rail fastener, tighten and hammer so the
Weld Nut is ush with surface of the Step Support.

STEP 22 – Platform Boards:
Place one End Deck Board (Y) so it overhangs the Step
Platform End by 1/4". Lay one End Deck Board next to it.
Butt an End Deck Board to the Top Climber Block on the
other end of the Gym. Lay another End Deck Board next to it.
Lay the Deck Boards (Q) across the Stringers and Inside
Beams in the pattern shown at right. Space all the Boards
evenly between the outer-most End Deck Boards. Secure
the Boards using #8 x 1-5/8" Screws in each hole.
STEP 23 – Climber Boards:
Insert four 1/4" Weld Nuts into the four center-most 5/16"
diameter holes in the Top Rock Board (U1). Flip the board so
the Weld Nuts are face down.
Align the top edge of the Top Rock Board 2" down from the
top edge of the Step Support. Secure the Rock Board to the
Step Support and front left Leg using four #10 x 2-1/2" T25
Deck Screws. Use 1/8" diameter pilot holes to ensure the
screws do not split the Step Support and Leg. Pilot holes
are especially important at the top and bottom of the
Step Support and Leg.
Drill 3/16" diameter pilot holes and secure 1/4" x 2-1/2" Lag
Screws and Flat Washers through the 5/16" holes near the
ends of the Top Rock Board
Before installing the rest of the boards set the Weld Nuts
at the bottom of the Leg and Step Support ush with the
surface. Use a hammer to drive the weld nuts ush and then
tighten the Bolts.
Insert four 1/4" Weld Nuts into the four 5/16" diameter holes
in another Rock Board (U2). Flip the board so the Weld Nuts
are face down Align the bottom edge of one Rock Board 1" up
from the bottom edge of the Step Support and Leg. Secure
the Rock Board to the Step Support and Leg using four #10
x 2-1/2" T25 Deck Screws. Use 1/8" diameter pilot holes
to ensure the screws do not split the Step Support and Leg.
Place the ve Spacer Boards (V) and remaining four Rock
Boards as shown at right. Secure the Spacer and Rock
Boards evenly spaced between the top Rock Board and
Rope Board using four #10 x 2-1/2" T25 Deck Screws. Use
1/8" diameter pilot holes to ensure the screws do not split
the Rung Support and Leg. The gap between boards will be
approximately between 1/4" and 3/8".
STEP 24 – Rocks:
Fasten a Climbing Rock (J) to each pair of holes in the Rock
Boards. Use 1/4 x 1-1/2" Hex Bolts, 1/4" Lock Washers, 8mm
Flat Washers and 1/4" weld nuts. Do not over-tighten the
fasteners. The bolt must seat completely into the Climbing
Rock, and not protrude more than a 1/8" past the end of the
weld nut. Protruding bolts can be a hazard to users, replace
any protruding bolts.

STEP 26 – Ceiling Joists:
Adjust the Roof Panels so the angled ends are even with
each other. Fasten a Ceiling Joist (A) to the outside of the
roof rafters on each end. Use two 5/16 x 2" Hex Bolt Assem-
blies for each.
Fasten the remaining Ceiling Joist to the center roof rafters
using two 5/16 x 2" Hex Bolt Assemblies.
STEP 25 – Roof Panels to Corner Posts:
Fasten one Roof Panel Assembly (II) to the left front and
left back Posts with one 5/16" x 4-1/2" Hex Bolt Assembly in
each Post as shown. Do not completely tighten these bolts.
Repeat with the other Roof Panel on the right Posts. Rest the
angled ends Roof Panels against each other.

STEP 27— Assemble Ridge Cap:
Align Ridge Cap Part A (DD) overlapping Ridge Cap Part B
(EE) as shown at right. Ensure that the ends of the Ridge
Cap parts align before fastening using 2" screws. Each
screw should pass through Ridge Cap Part A and into Ridge
Cap Part B. Leave the screw head ush to the surface of
Ridge Cap Part A.
STEP 28 — Fasten Ridge Cap to Roof:
Before putting the Ridge Cap in place, drill a series of 1/8"
diameter pilot holes through the top board of each roof panel.
The pilot holes should be at least 3" from the end of the roof
board and approximately 3/4" from the top edge. Space the
pilot holes approximately 12 inches apart for a total of six on
each Roof Panel.
Put the Ridge Cap in place at the peak of the roof, as shown.
The ends of the Ridge Cap should be ush with the ends of
the roof.
From inside the Gym, fasten the Ridge Cap using #8 x 1-1/4"
screws, through the pilot holes and into the Ridge Cap.

STEP 31 – Hand Grips (part one):
Place one Hand Grip (CC) at against the outside face of the
right back Post as shown. The bottom hole of the Hand Grip
should be approximately 3-3/4" above the top of the Leg.
With the Hand Grip centered on the face of the Post, mark
the positions of the holes in the Hand Grip. Drill 1/8" diameter
pilot holes 1" deep at the marks. Fasten the Hand Grip using
two 1/4" x 1-1/2" Lag Screws and two 8mm Flat Washers.
Place one Hand Grip at against the angled face of the front
right Leg as shown. The top hole of the Hand Grip should be
approximately 7-3/4" below the top of the Leg.
Mark the positions of the holes in the Grip. Drill and fasten the
Hand Grip as above.
STEP 29 – Swing Mount (Optional):
If you do not plan to install a 7 foot Swing Beam, do not
install the Swing Mount.
Find the center of the Main Beam and Wall Support on the
back of the tower. (The Bolts securing the Center Block are
at the center of the Main Beam). Mark the Main Beam and
Wall Support 2" from center. Hold the Swing Mount (MM)
against the back of the Gym with one edge against the marks
and align the top of the Swing Mount with the top of the Wall
Support. Use a level to make sure the Swing Mount is plumb.
Mark the position of the holes in the Swing Mount on the
Beam and Support. Drill 3/8" diameter holes through the
boards at the marks
Fasten the Swing Mount to the Main Beam and Wall Support
using two 5/16 x 4" Hex Bolt Assemblies as shown at right.
Install the Swing Beam as instructed by the assembly guide
included with the Beam.

STEP 30 — Wall Slats:
Evenly space six Wall Slats (M) between the back Posts.
Fasten each Wall Slat to the back Wall Support and the back
Main Beam using four #8 x 1-5/8" Screws. The gap will be
approximately 3" between slats.
Secure one Wall Slat 27-1/2" from the right front Post
using four #8 x 1-5/8" Screws. Evenly space two Wall Slats
between the front left Post and the Wall Slat. Fasten each
Wall Slat to the front Wall Support and the front Main Beam
using four #8 x 1-5/8" Screws. The gap will be approximately
3" between slats.
WARNING: at no time should the opening between Wall
Slats and any other member be greater than 3-1/2" and less
than 9"; fatal injury could result.

STEP 33 – Climbing Rope:
The Climbing Rope (T) comes pre-knotted on approximately
12" centers. This is done to prevent the rope from separating
and it provides a better grip. DO NOT MODIFY THE DE-
SIGN OF THIS ROPE. IF REPLACED, IT IS IMPORTANT
TO MAINTAIN THE SAME ROPE DESIGN.
Insert the Rope though the hole in the End Rope Support.
Tie a gure eight knot at the end of the rope, inside the gym.
Leave at least 2" of rope beyond the end of the knot.
Pre-stretch the rope before tieing the bottom end. The bot-
tom end of the Rope MUST pass under the bottom Rock
Board and through the hole in the Base Rail. Pull the Rope
through the hole until it is tight and tie a knot in the end. A
gure-eight knot is preferred, but an overhand knot can be
used in the lower position.
Check the rope periodically to ensure that it has not loos-
ened. Tighten the rope when necessary.
WARNING: AT NO TIME LET THE BOTTOM END OF THE
ROPE BE UNTIED OR LOOSE ENOUGH TO FORM ALOOP.
THIS PRESENTS EXTREME DANGER TO CHILDREN.

STEP 34 – Tire Swing:
Locate the Tire Swing Assembly (JJ) and place it beneath the
Gym Platform. Make sure the hardware is fastened rmly to
the Tire and the chains are not tangled.
Using the included quick-links, fasten each chain to the Tire
Swivel, as shown. The height of the Tire Swing should be
adjusted by putting the quick-link through a lower link in the
chain. Loop the quick links to the third link from the end of
the Chain.
Tighten the quick-links using a C-wrench.
Use the 3rd link
on each chain.
STEP 32 – Hand Grips (part two):
Place one Hand Grip (BB) at against the outside face of the
back left Leg as shown. The top hole of the Hand Grip should
be approximately 7-3/4" below the top of the Leg.
With the Hand Grip centered on the Leg, mark the positions
of the holes in the Hand Grip. Drill 1/8" diameter pilot holes 1"
deep in the Leg at the marks. Fasten the Hand Grip using two
1/4" x 1-1/2" Lag Screws and two 8mm Flat Washers.
Repeat with the remaining Grip on the front left Leg.

Check the area is clear of tools before allowing children to play on the swing set. Save all instructions and receipts
in case it becomes necessary to contact Creative Playthings for warranty service and/or part replacement. The
warranty can be found in your Owner’s Manual.
STEP 37 – Slide Mount:
Place the Slide Mount (L) against the front Main Beam, centered on the
opening. Face the beveled edge of the Slide Mount to the inside. Secure
the Slide Mount to the Platform Boards using four #8 x 2-1/2" Screws.
Drive the screws ush with the top of the Slide Mount. Do not over-
tighten; don't let the screws to protrude through the Platform Boards.
STEP 38 – Slide:
Place the Slide on the Slide Mount through the opening prepared earlier. Cen-
ter the Slide in the opening and pull it tight to the platform. Make sure the holes
in the Slide are over the Slide Mount. Ensure the Slide extends out perpen-
dicular from the Playset.
Drill 5/16" diameter holes through the Slide, Slide Mount, and Deck Boards
using the holes in the Slide as a guide. Fasten using 1/4 x 3" Truss Head Bolts
and 1/4" Weld Nuts.
Note: If a framing member is encountered, stop drilling after piercing the Deck
Board. Remove the Slide Mount and Deck Board and insert the Weld Nuts
from the underside. If desired, a 1" spade drill bit can be used to clear a space
for the base of the Weld Nut in the framing member. Re-attach the Platform
Board and Slide Mount and continue securing the Slide.

STEP 35 – Bottom Climber Block:
Install the Bottom Climber Block (S) with the large holes aligned with the holes in the
Cargo Base Rail as shown at right. Fasten using two #8 x 1-5/8" Screws.
STEP 39 – Hole Cap:
Make a nal check and make sure all the bolts and screws have been tightened.
Locate the 1" and 1-1/2" Hole Caps. Install Hole Caps into all the counter-bored
holes to cover and protect the hardware.
STEP 36 – Cargo Net:
Fasten top of the Cargo Net (LL) to the top Climber Block and Cargo
Platform End using a 5/16 x 3" Carriage Bolt through the top link
of each chain, through the holes in the Climber Block and Plat-
form End with a 5/16" Flat Washer and 5/16" Lock Nut on the
end.
Fasten bottom of the Cargo Net to the Bottom Climber Block
and Cargo Base Rail in the same manner.
