SPECIAL NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS
The installation of the Picnic Table option may require some disassembly of existing components.
Sandbox Seats must be removed and will not be used with the Picnic Table. The existing Safety Rail
mustberemovedandwillbeutilizedlaterintheseinstructions

STEP 1 - PILOT HOLES
Youwillhavetodrilltwopilotholesineachofthecorneruprights
forthe2x4 PicnicTable SupportRails(A)andthe 5/16 x 2-1/2”
LagScrews.
Locate and mark for two pilot holes in each of the Corner
Uprights.
NOTE: They will be located on the same side as the Safety
Railwasattachedandthe adjacent side. Measure up 16-3/4”
from the bottom of the Corner Uprights to the first hole and
26-3/4”to the second.
At each mark, drill a 3/16” dia. hole to a depth of 1” as shown
in illustration #3. illustration#3
This hole maybe pre-drilled on the
Upright Corner.

All hardware on this set is specially coated for corrosion resistance. If non-Creative
Playthings hardware is used, it MUST be galvanized or stainless steel.

STEP #2 - INSTALL LOWER RAILS & SEATS
InstallbothofthelowerSupportRails(A)totheCornerUprights
using(2) 5/16 x2-1/2”LagScrewsand (2) 5/16”FlatWashers
in each as shown in illustration #4.
NOTE: The Existing Safety Rail will be utilized as one of the
Picnic Table Support Rails.
Afterall of the Lag Screws areinstalled andtightened, install
the 1”dia. Holes Caps into the counterbored holes over the
bolthardware.
Arrange(2)oftheSeatBoardsoneachsideofthelowerSupport
Rails. AttachtheSeatBoardsusing(4)#8x2-1/2”FlatHead
Phillips Screws in each board as shown in illustration #4.
STEP #3 - INSTALL TABLE TOP
InstallbothoftheupperSupportRails(A)totheCornerUprights
using(2) 5/16 x2-1/2”LagScrewsand (2) 5/16”FlatWashers
in each as shown in illustration #5.
Afterall of the Lag Screws areinstalled andtightened, install
the1”dia. HoleCapsintothe counterboredholesover the bolt
hardware.
Arrange(4)TableTopBoardsinthecenterofthe(2)TopSupport
Railsand attach each board using(4)#10 x 1-1/2”Flat Head
Phillips Screws in each as shown on illustration #5.
CAUTION: To avoid any possibility of injury, make sure
that all of the Flat Head Screws are in flush or slightly
below the surface of the wood. illustration#6
