CHILDHOOD STARTS HERE
Components of Creative Playthings gyms can be combined with others
to create different play sets. In this case, components of the Clayton gym
combined with others are used to create the Clarkdale. Use the instructions
from the Clayton combined with the information on this sheet to assemble
the Clarkdale gym. Read this sheet and all instructions included with the
different parts before assembly.
See Instructions and Owner's Manual in carton 63083-353 (tent) or
63083-554 (wood roof posts) for important safety information.
One carton is unique to the Clarkdale gym. The
contents are listed below. Use the contents of
Clarkdale Box 1 in place of Clayton Box 1.

• The instructions found in 63083-353 give a complete descrip-
tion for assembling the play tower with the following excep-
tions:
• On step 11, the Swing Mount provided is different than the
Swing Mount shown in the manual. The counter-bored holes
in the Swing Mount should face the gym. Secure the bottom
of the Swing Mount using the 5/16 x 4-1/2" Hex Bolt Assem-
bly provided. The top hole will not align with the existing hole.
Use a 3/8" diameter drill to make a hole through the top sup-
port and secure using one 5/16 x 4-1/2" Hex Bolt Assembly.
(See illustration at right).
• Steps 20 & 21: Use the pre-assembled Access Ladder with
plastic steps.
• Proceed with assembly. On step 26 use the Deluxe Hand
Grips rather than the plastic handles.
• Use a Scoop Slide in step 27.
• Assemble the Swing Beam as shown in the instructions in
63059-212 and mount it to the tower.
• After installing the beam and securing the ground stakes,
check to assure all fasteners are secure.
• Hang the swings and trapeze.

assembling the play tower with the following exceptions:

grips should mount on the back of the set next to the Access Ladder.
• Please note the Clarkdale comes with a Scoop Slide rather than the
slide shown in step 27. Installation is the same.
• Assemble the Swing Beam as shown in the instructions in 63059-212
and mount it to the tower.
• After installing the beam and securing the ground stakes, check to as-
sure all fasteners are secure.
• Hang the swings and trapeze.
