Perform the following trouble-shooting steps before sending it for
servicing.

The Creative DSxMcannot be Powered ON. What should I do?
● Make sure that the power cords are firmly connected to the unit
and that the power outlet is turned on.
● Press the LINK Button at the rear of the Subwoofer once. The
LED status indicator should blink once.
This indicates that the Subwoofer is powered ON but it is not
linked to any speaker.
There’s no wireless link between the Creative DSxMand
Creative D5xMor D3xM. What should I do?
● Check to see if there is a broken link in the ecosystem. A broken
link in the ecosystem will stop the link from functioning until the
link is restored.
● Perform (To link up with the Creative D5xMor D3xM) from the
Quick Start Guide to put the wireless Subwoofer into LINK
Discoverable mode and refer to the Creative D5xMor D3xMuser
manual for further linking instructions. Upon successful link, the
LED status indicator on the DSxMwill be lit steady.
I am having difficulty in linking up the Creative DSxMwith the
Creative D5xMor D3xM.
● Ensure that you have the master speaker defined.
● Make sure that your Master speaker LINK discoverable mode is
enabled.
● Position them within 1 meter or closer to each other if you
experience linking difficulties.
● Ensure that both, your Creative DSxMand your Creative D5xMor
D3xMare not connected to any other devices.
● Should the problem persist, return the Creative DSxM, D5xMor
D3xMto factory default setting by referring to Return to factory
default setting (Clear Linking Memory) in the Quick Start
Guide..
What’s the optimal operating distance between Creative
D5xMor D3xMwith the Creative DSxM?
● The optimal operating distance is within 30 meters. They work
best when there are no obstructions (e.g. walls, large metal
structures or other electronic devices). If they are too far apart,
you may hear some cracking sounds.
My Creative DSxMdoes not go into power standby mode.
● The Creative DSxMcan only go into standby mode when it is
not linked with any master speaker unit. When in LINK mode,
the Creative DSxm can only enter networked standby mode
(LINK LEDs are dimmed) when instructed by master speaker
unit. Control of the Creative DSxMis given to the master
speaker when both units are linked up.
