The CUCKOO 2 Zone Hybrid Eco Range is an eco-friendly appliance generating no harmful gas emissions by
adopting both Highlight with no restrictions on the use of pans and the heat-efficient induction
(IH/Electromagnetic induction heating) heating mechanism.

Please clean the product gently and thoroughly to

cookware sensor.

the direct protection and special care of an adult.

Prevent any pets from going near
the product or climbing on the top
of it.
•Your pet may touch the control panel and
accidentally operate the product causing fire and burns.
If you use cardiac pacemakers
or electrical medical supporting
equipment, consult a doctor
before using this unit.
•When this unit is working, it can influence any
electrical medical equipment.
Do not plug or pull out the power
cord with wet hands.
•It can cause an electric shock.
•This causes inaccurate temperature sensing and overheated
cookware this may result in product malfunction and fire.
•Any foreign substance or moisture on the control panel may cause
malfunction of the keys.
•Please remove any moisture from the bottom of the cookware as it
may discolor the ceramic top.
•Do not touch the ceramic surface when 'H' flashes, warning of the
hot surface after use of the product.
Be careful that both the plug and
power cord are not to
be shocked by animal attack or
sharp metal materials.
•Damages by impact can cause an electric shock or fire.
Please check the power cord and plug frequently.
Do not stay away from the product
while cooking. In particular, be
careful when frying.
•If the oil level is too low, it gets overheated and ignites.
•Always keep the oil amount over 800g (about 0.9L)

When cooking a sealed food, please open the seal
before heating it.
•Otherwise, the seal may burst when heated, causing burns
After cooking, please wait until the
ceramic top has completely cooled
down and then clean it as the residual
heat may still be a danger of burns. It is
recommended the cooktop be maintained
clean at all times.
Please remove any moisture
and foreign substance from the
ceramic top, the bottom of the
cookware and the control panel
before using the product.

Safety Warnings
If too much smoke is produced
from the oil, turn the power off
and cool down the product and oil.
•If you keep heating the oil at high
temperature, it may ignite a fire.
Leave space from the surrounding
walls; the distances from the walls
must be over 4cm to the rear, over
2cm to the sides and over 1m to the top.
•Failure to do so may result in fire.
•Have the front and at least two sides open.
Warning Remember
Make sure the product surface is completely cooled down
when moving or touching it, as the bottom of the product
may be hot during or after use. In particular, be careful of
any contact with the bottom of the product when using the
underside storage, in case of a built-in product.
Please turn the power off after use.
•It may cause malfunction or fire.
•Do not rely on the Auto Off function.
Be careful of splattering oil while
frying.
•Failure to do so may result in burns.
•In particular, do not pour water or watery ingredients over a
heated oil.
•It may cause product damage, electric shock or burns.
When you pull out the power plug,
don’t pull the power cord.
Please safely pull out the power plug.
•If you inflict impact on power cord, it can cause an
electric shock or fire.
Make sure the floor of the installation location is
free from contamination.
•Any foreign substance may cause damage to the bottom or floor of
the product.
Do not use the product near any
object vulnerable to magnetic field.
•Do not place a TV, radio, IC card or
magnetic card close to the product.

Keep the surroundings of the product clean at all times.

Any damage caused by cockroaches or insects may incur repair costs.
Maintain more than 30cm of distance from
the product while using.
•A magnetic field can be released from electronic goods.
Be careful of splattering food or moving pan when
cooking food in a pan.
•It may cause burns, injury or damage to the cooktop.
When frying something, make sure to open the lid.
•With the lid on, the temperature inside the pan may rise too much.
Do not drag a cooking vessel on the ceramic top plate.
•It may cause scratches on the top plate.
Use the product in a well ventilated area.
•The high heat may result in burns.
•First pull out the power cord. And contact
dealer or the service center.
Make sure to install the product horizontally on a
flat surface. Check the level of the surface after
installation.
•If the product is installed tilted, the cookware may slide, causing
burns and product damage.
Please contact a sales personnel or
service center if a strange smell or
smoke is emitted from the product.
Pay attention to hands, feet
or other objects away from
being caught by the Power
Cord so that the product or
cookware does not fall.

Error Indicators on Display
This appears when there is no cookware sensed or if the cookware is placed improperly.
For any incorrect use or when it does not work properly, the Display Panel will display the below signs to alert. If the warning
indicator stays on even in a normal condition for use or after an action has made, please contact the customer service.

Installation Guidelines
•Attach the foam tape to the specified area before installing the product.
•When you attach foam tape, finish the work by preventing the ends from
overlapping.
※ Without the proper installation of the foam tape, liquid may seep into the circuit
board causing a malfunction to occur.
Cautions for Installation
•Place the stand ( 8.7cm) on an even surface and put the product on top of it as shown in the picture below.
•The stand cannot be used for built-in installation
※When installing stand, please keep out of reach of children.
- Failure to do so may result in burns.

Attaching Foam Tape
•A power outlet exclusively for 220V with at least a rating of 16A must be used for this product.
•Any electrical work needed on the product must be done by a certified electrician or agency.
•Do not use with other electrical appliances on a single power outlet.
•Do not install the product on a low heat-resistant surface such as a plastic floor as the temperature on bottom of the product gets pretty
high when used for long.
•If you need an extension cord, please use one with a rating of at least 16A.
•Built-in installation must be done only by a technician certified by us. Please contact the customer service for built-in installation.

About Cleaning and Care
Please clean the product when it is completely cooled down.

▶The residual heat may still cause burns.
▶or general care of contamination, clean the product when the hot temperature indicator "H"
flashes out.
Use a damp towel or cloth to wipe off any food material off the
ceramic top, then wipe it dry with a dry towel or cloth.

Remove any salt or sugar stuck on the hot surface of the ceramic top
immediately as it may cause damage to the ceramic cooktop.
▶Be careful of the hot ceramic top when cleaning the product. It may cause burns.
▶Any thick crystalline substance, such as salt that has spilled onto the ceramic top may cause
scratches when rubbed by the cookware.
▶If any plastic, aluminum foil, milk, sugar or food containing sugar spilled onto the ceramic top,
remove it immediately with the scraper and detergent provided.
※ Any plastic, aluminum foil, milk, salt or food containing sugar (honey, jam, sugar, etc.) that get
stuck on the ceramic top may cause discoloration of the surface.

For heavy contamination (scale, stain, etc.) on the ceramic top, gently remove
the dirt and clean it properly.

▶The best way to prevent scale or stain on the ceramic top is keep the bottom of the cookware
free from dirt or moisture.
▶Clean the product regularly as old dirt gets difficult to remove.
Do not wash the product with water.

▶ As this product is an electrical appliance, the water may cause product malfunction or fare.
For contamination of grease, wipe the ceramic top with a mild dishwashing
detergent on a sponge or cloth.

▶Do not use any abrasive sponge, scrubbing pad, corrosive cleaner or rust remover to clean
the ceramic top. It may cause scratches and damage to the product.
▶Do not use any acidic or alkaline detergent or chemicals (benzene, thinner, toothpaste, etc.).
It may cause discolouration.
▶Do not use a glass cleaning agent including ammonia or chlorine bleach, or a flammable
cleaning agent such as gasoline and WD-40. Such cleaning agents cause damage like
stains to the ceramic top plate.

If such sugary substances are spilled onto the hot ceramic top where it would then melt and
become hardened syrup.
The coating of the surface may come off with them being removed and damage the product.
If a substance containing sugar spilled onto the hot cooktop, remove it immediately by following
the cleaning instructions below.
- If the product is seriously damaged by sugar, please contact customer service to replace the
ceramic top at a cost.
※ Caution
Metallic materials from the pan can be stuck on the ceramic top causing some glittering stains.
Use of electric cooktop cookware is strongly recommended to prevent metallic stains.
For heavy metallic stains, remove the dirt by regularly repeating the following instructions.
※ Caution
If the bottom of the cookware is wet or contaminated, the calcareous components in the
water and foreign substances get stained onto the surface of the cooktop causing white or
iridescent stains.
The dirt can be removed by the following instructions; however, repeated cleaning may be
required for heavy stains.
- It is recommended the bottom of the cookware to be completely dried before use to prevent
limescale.
※ Caution
Overflowed food that are spilled out from the pan onto the ceramic top may cause burnt marks
and slight discolouration.
The dirt hardened over time must be soaked in warm water before removed.
For heavy stains and discolouration follow the instructions below on a regular basis.

Sometimes, cooking vessels made of suitable materials cannot be used due to their shape. Do not use cooking vessels with a bottom
surface with bumps or an uneven surface(cooking vessels bent by 2 mm or more) or those with a thin bottom surface.

※ Use of cookware with the diameter of the base less than 14.6mm may not be sensed, and the pan may not be heated hot enough.
※ Among cooking vessels on the market, there are those with a thin magnetic substance on the bottom surface for induction operation. Those may not
work because of weak magnetism.
※ Among cooking vessels that are in the market, those with a magnetic substance where only the part of the bottom part is magnetic may not work.
※ Using a unsuitable pan may cause product malfunction.
※ Please use a pan with no jags or scratches (cuts or hardened dirt) to protect the ceramic top.
※ Do not heat an empty cooking vessel or use one with a thin bottom surface(with under 2 mm of thickness).

About Cookware
Cookware Suitable for HIGHLIGHT
•ost of the pans with a flat base can be used for the Highlight cooking zones.
- Use pans with a flat base.
- The most efficient pans are the ones with bases that are the same size as the size
of the zone.
- Enamel steel cookware with a 2-3mm thick base and about 2-6mm thick stainless
steel cookware are recommended for use on this product.
Stai less pot
- Remove the pan from the ceramic top once cooking is done on the Highlight cooking zone.
Some cookware (enamel-coated pots, etc.) may get stuck on the ceramic top if left for a long time, causing damage to the cooktop.
Cookware Unsuitable for HIGHLIGHT
•Unsuitable Structure
Sometimes, cookware made of suitable materials cannot be used due to its structure. Do not use cookware with
jagged edges or a curved base (jagged or curved over 2mm).
•Be careful of using a pan with jags or a rough base which can scratch or damage the ceramic top.
•Use a pan with a clean and dry bottom to protect the ceramic top from being contaminated.
•Be careful of scratches to the ceramic top that may be caused by the pan being dragged or moved while placed on the cooktop.
※Among earthen pots and ceramic pots currently in the market, some have rough bottom surfaces, so please pay attention to their bottom surfaces to avoid
causing scratches on the ceramic top plate.
•Do not use any gear for direct-fired cooking.
•Do not cook with any material unspecified for use, such as aluminum foil that may cover the ceramic top.
•Do not cook anything (including dried squid and seaweed) straight on the Highlight cooking zone without a pan.
- This may cause heavy stains and damage the ceramic top.

The heating level of each crater is “0”, and “-:--” is displayed
on the Off-Timer indicator, and the voice LED turns on.
※ If the voice is set to O , the voice LED turns off.
▶In Standby status, you can operate each hob and function.
Manual Heating
Plug the product into the outlet on the wall
▶
When you plug in a power plug, all screens are switched on
and off with the alarm sound, and enter Power-Saving mode.
▶
The Power-Saving mode is an energy saving function. In this
mode, all screens turn off and all buttons other than the [On &
Off] and [Lock] buttons do not work.

If you press the [On & Off] button for 1 second or longer
in the Power-Saving mode, it goes into Standby status
as shown in the figure.

Place a standard pan suitable for induction in the center of the ceramic top. A pan not placed in the center may not be
sensed and not operate properly.
Each of the cooking zone may emit a certain smell when used for the first time. This is normal, so do not worry.
If the smell stays even after a long time of use, place contact customer service.
When using the induction cooking zone, it may make clunky noises depending on the material and type of the pan.

1) When using the DUAL highlight hob
▶Press the [+] button to increase the heat level by one level.
▶Press the [+] button for longer to quickly advance to level 10.
※ (0 →1 →2 →3 →4 →5 →6 →7 →8 →9 →10[P])
▶Press the [-] button to decrease the heat level by one level.
▶Press the [-] button for longer to quickly descend to level 0, and
when it reaches level 0, the hob turns off.
※ (10[P] →9 →8 →7 →6 →5 →4 →3 →2 →1 →0)
▶Level 10 is indicated by “P”.
▶Press the[ ] button while the hob is in level 1 to 10 and
the outer hob will work together.
Press the[ ] button once again to continue operation with
the outer hob just turned off.
▶When an extended heat level is selected, the expansion LED turns on.
▶While the outer expansion hob is working together, if the [-] button
goes down to level 0, and all of the hobs are turned off.
2) When using the induction hob
▶Press the [+] button to increase the heat level by one level.
▶Press the [+] button for longer to quickly advance to level 10.
※ (0 →1 →2 →3 →4 →5 →6 →7 →8 →9 →10[P])
▶Press the [Turbo] button to start heating with level 10 turbo power.
(The Turbo LED turns on.)
▶Press the [-] button to decrease the heat level by one level.
▶Press the [-] button for longer to quickly descend to level 0, and
when it reaches level 0, the hob turns off.
※ (10[P] →9 →8 →7 →6 →5 →4 →3 →2 →1 →0)
▶or manual heating, the Cancel button does not cancel the heating.
▶Level 10 is indicated by “P”.
▶Manual heating can be used with the [Heating Power Setting] button and
the [Turbo] button in Standby status.
▶If you want to cook at MAX Temperature, set the induction heating
temperature to level 3 and then select heat level 10.

※ The initial induction heat temperature is set in 3 levels.

▶If you want to use manual heating while selecting Automatic Cooking on
the menu, return to Standby status before using it.
※ If there is no button input for 7 seconds while selecting Auto Cooking
on the menu, it will return to Standby status.

the Keep Warm option, it will return to Standby status.

Safety Features
Safety functions of the induction hob
❶Container Detection unction
▶
If you heat using “unusable containers” or “containers placed obliquely in the cooking zone” or
lifting the containers during heating, the heating is stopped with an alarm going off.
※The alarm goes off for one minute and the "U" flashes.
▶
If you place a cooking container in the correct position on the ceramic top to heat up while the alarm
goes off and the "U" flashes, heating will start.
▶
The heating will be canceled if No Cooking Container status lasts for 1 minute.
❷unction to prevent heating of small items
▶
This prevents the machine from heating up small objects such as spoons, knives, and forks.
※ The alarm goes off for 1 minute, and the "U" flashes, which means there is no cooking container.

Automatic "Off" function

If the set time has elapsed since the start of heating, a sound alert for completion is given and
the alarm goes off. After this, the heating automatically stops. (Refer to pages 24-25)

Abnormal temperature rise prevention function
▶
If the intake/exhaust vent is blocked or the ambient temperature rises and the temperature inside
the main body rises, it will stop heating.

Prevent function from heating due to a malfunction in touch button
▶
If heating starts due to a malfunction in the touch function caused by a foreign substance, the heating will
be automatically canceled if the heat level control button is pressed for more than 8 seconds.

If cooking is completed before the set heating time, lower the heat level to “0” with the heating
level control button or press the [On & Off] button to finish heating.

or manual heating, the [Menu/ Cancel] button does not cancel the heating.

If you turn off the power with the [On & Off] button, all the hobs will be turned off and
the machine will enter Power-Saving mode.

The default heating time for each hob is 1 hour, and the time can be adjusted with the Off-Timer.

Three minutes before the end of heating, you will hear a voice prompt
"(Dual Highlight / Induction) It is 3 minutes before cooking is complete".

When the set time is reached, the heating ends along with the voice prompt
"(Dual Highlight / Induction) cooking time is completed.“

<Off Timer Default Time> <Three minutes before the end of heating>
If residual heat remains on the hob, the high-temperature
caution warning indicator “H” flashes in Standby status and
Power-Saving mode.
▶
If the high termperature warning lamp "H" flashes along with
the voice prompt "The area around the burner is hot. Please be
careful", be careful because the area around the hob is hot.
▶
Please note that for the highlight hob, the high temperature
warning indicator does not light up when the power is restored
or the power plug is unplugged.

How to use the Pan Fry Menu
❶When you press the [Menu / Cancel] button in Standby status,
the Pan ry menu will be selected along with the voice prompt
"Pan ry. Please press the Start button after selecting pan fry level
with the induction heating power setting button.“
- You can set the heat level you want with the induction heat level
setting [-] and [+] buttons.

- The LED indicator for Pan ry flashes.
- The Pan ry level is displayed on the heat level indicator.
- If you want to cook a Pan ry at MAX Temperature
set the induction heating temperature to level 3 and then
select the level 3. (MAX Temperature LED turns on)
❷If you select the Pan ry on the menu and the heat level and then
press the [Start] button, pan fry cooking will start along with
the voice prompt "[Ding-dong~] Pan fry, CUCKOO will begin
preparing your delicious dish. You can adjust pan fry level
and time while cooking.“
❸You can adjust the cooking time in Pan ry.
※ You can set the Pan ry time with the Cooking Time [-] and [+]buttons.
※ Initial Pan ry time: 1 hour.(you can set it from 1 minute to 1 hour.)
❹You can adjust the heat level in Pan ry.
※ You can set the desired heat level for the Pan ry with the
induction heat level setting [-], [+] buttons.
※ Each time you adjust the heat level, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3
will be selected and a voice prompt will be heard.
❺If there is no button input for 7 seconds without starting during
the Pan ry menu selection, it will return to Standby status.
❻When the pan fry cooking is completed, the menu will be saved as Pan ry.
❼Three minutes before the pan fry cooking is completed,
you will hear a voice prompt saying, "It is 3 minutes before cooking
is completed.“
❽When the pan fry cooking is completed, it will return to Standby
status along with the voice prompt “Pan fry, Delicious cooking is completed.

How to use the Grill Menu
❶If you press the [Menu/Cancel] button twice in Standby mode,
the Grill menu will be selected along with the voice prompt
"Grill. Press the Start button after selecting Grill temperature
with the induction heating power setting button.”
You can set the desired temperature with the Induction
heat Level Setting [-] and [+] buttons.
(Initial grill temperature setting: 170 ℃)
- The LED on the Grill flashes.
- The selected grill temperature is displayed on the heat level indicator.
- If you want to cook a Grill at a very high temperature, set the induction heating
temperature to level 3 and set the grill temperature as 200 ℃.
(MAX Tempertaure LED turns on.)
❷Select the Grill menu and temperature and press the [Start] button.
The cooking will begin along with the voice prompt
“[Ding-dong ~] Grill”, CUCKOO will begin preparing your delicious dish.
You can adjust grill temperature and time while cooking."
※ If oil or other ingredients splash heavily during cooking,
lower the temperature level.
❸You can adjust the cooking time during the grill cooking.
※ You can set the desired grill time with the Cooking Time
[-] and [+] buttons.
※ Initial grill setting time: 1 hour
(you can set time from 1 minute to 1 hour.)
❹You can set the temperature during grill cooking.
※ You can set the desired grill temperatrue with
the induction heat setting [-] and [+] buttons.
(130℃→170℃→200℃→130℃→170℃→200→…)
❺If there is no button input for 7 seconds without starting during
the grill menu selection, it will return to Standby status.
❻When the preheating is completed along with the voice prompt
“Preheating is completed”, add the ingredients and then start cooking.
❼When the grill cooking is completed, the menu is saved as Grill.
❽You can cancel grill cooking by pressing the [Menu / Cancel] button
during the grill cooking.
❾Three minutes before the grill cooking is completed, you will hear a
voice prompt saying "It is 3 minutes before cooking is completed."
❿When the grill cooking is complete, it will return to Standby status
along with a voice prompt saying,
“Grill, Delicious cooking is completed. CUCKOO.“
