If you continue to experience problems please see section 8.
Never leave your Cyclops CarCam or accessories on view when you leave the car - they may be targeted by thieves.
It is important to take care of your device.

5. Protection on your journey
The first time you start your Cyclops CarCam, the device may need a few minutes to locate your current position.
Subsequently, your position will be found faster, usually within a minute.
Under normal operating conditions the RED RECORD light will flash slowly and the GREEN GPS light stay on.
The Cyclops CarCam is a passive device that starts functioning shortly after switching on. During your journey the
following information is being captured:
Front driving view
Rear driving view
Interior view
Sound
Longitude Position
Latitude Position
Time
Date
Speed
G-force
The Cyclops CarCam is fitted with special parts to allow NORMAL operation even in the dark.

6. Protection you can TRUST
The Cyclops CarCam is designed to capture important driving events. The device captures all information as detailed
in section 5 and records that information to the pre-installed SD memory card.
When the SD memory card capacity is full the Cyclops CarCam begins to record over the first events captured. This is
sometimes described as a recording loop.
However, the Cyclops CarCam is designed NOT to record over accident events. These events are captured and
archived, ready for future retrieval.
Accidents
Serious jolt
Pressing the FORCE button
RED light FLASHING SLOWLY indicates the Cyclops CarCam is recording.
RED light FLASHING QUICKLY indicates the Cyclops CarCam is recording in EMERGENCY mode.
GREEN light FLASHING indicates the Cyclops CarCam is searching for the GPS signal.
GREEN light STAYING ON indicates the Cyclops CarCam has found the GPS signal.

7. In the event of an accident
The Cyclops CarCam is designed to capture important driving events. This information can be used to:
Protect your No Claims Bonus
Provides strong evidence in the event of a traffic accident
Helps to reduce the time taken to settle an insurance claim
Modifies driver behaviour
Reduces motoring costs by improving driver skills
The Cyclops CarCam captures all information as detailed in the previous chapter and records that information to the
pre-installed SD memory card.
In the event of an accident, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that the SD memory card is REMOVED and REPLACED
with a spare (see Extras) SD memory card; this will preserve important recordings. The recorded information will
need to be examined and forwarded to the relevant authorities.
In the event of an accident please CALL 01633 535 535 to arrange for the SD memory card to be picked up,
OR
Remove the SD memory card and send too:

8. Problems?
The GPS antenna is built into the top left of the Cyclops CarCam. Therefore, avoid covering this area of the CarCam
with any objects that may cause a reduction in reception. We advise that any cables e.g. Power, Video, are routed to
avoid covering this area of the Cyclops CarCam.
The Cyclops CarCam will continue to record in the event that there is NO GPS reception. However, certain information
will not be recorded e.g. Longitude Position, Latitude Position, Speed.
Do not leave your Cyclops CarCam or Cyclops CarCam accessories on view when you leave your car –both, are an
easy target for thieves. Also, we recommend the following:
Do not plug in more than ONE micro-USB terminal
Take care of your Cyclops CarCam device and clean the lenses carefully
Use a soft cloth to wipe the camera lenses of your device; do not use any liquid cleaners
If your device gets wet, dry it with a soft cloth
Do not open the casing of your device; doing so will invalidate your warranty
Do not use the supplied Micro SD memory card with any other devices; this may cause damage
