Information regarding use of loudspeakers
WAR I G!
Never stand in t e immediate vicinity of loudspeakers driven at a
ig level. Professional loudspeaker systems are capable of causing
a sound pressure level detrimental to uman ealt . Seemingly non-
critical sound levels (from approx. 95 dB SPL) can cause earing
damage if people are exposed to it over a long period.
In order to prevent accidents w en deploying loudspeakers on t e
ground or w en flown, please take note of t e following:
W en setting up t e loudspeakers or loudspeaker stands, make sure
t ey are standing on a firm surface. If you place several systems on
top of one anot er, use straps to secure t em against movement.
Only use accessories w ic ave been tested and approved by d&b
for assembly and mobile deployment. Pay attention to t e correct
application and maximum load capacity of t e accessories as
detailed in our specific “Mounting instructions” or in our "Flying
system and Rigging manuals”.
Ensure t at all additional ardware, fixings and fasteners used for
installation or mobile deployment are of an appropriate size and
load safety factor. Pay attention to t e manufacturers instructions
and to t e relevant safety guidelines.
Regularly c eck t e loudspeaker ousings and accessories for visible
signs of wear and tear, and replace t em w en necessary.
Regularly c eck all load bearing bolts in t e mounting devices.
CAUTIO !
Loudspeakers produce a static magnetic field even if t ey are not
connected or are not in use. T erefore make sure w en erecting
and transporting loudspeakers t at t ey are now ere near
equipment and objects w ic may be impaired or damaged by an
external magnetic field. Generally speaking, a distance of 0.5 m
(1.5 ft) from magnetic data carriers (floppy disks, audio and video
tapes, bank cards, etc.) is sufficient; a distance of more t an 1 m
(3 ft) may be necessary wit computer and video monitors.
